  1. 4 picks different than if the Bills would not have traded their 3rd rounder for Rasul. It's still a 3rd rounder. You're grasping at straws.
  2. And Beane drafted Khalil Shakir in the 5th round in that same draft as Sky Moore was drafted by the Chiefs in the 2nd.
  3. They obviously did not have a first round grade on any players left on their board. Beane always talks value.
  4. We are not allocating our picks to the Chiefs. We traded back because we likely didn't have first round grades left on any players. Do we take Worthy to spite the Chiefs even though the Bills didn't want a 165 lb WR??? I don't think they made the move to save money. It's simply a practical bonus. We moved back because of value...and we improved our draft position in the lower rounds. We now have three picks tomorrow night instead of one.
  5. Not an extra pick...but we did move up significantly. Plus...according to WGR and Sal, we save $2.5 M on the cap.
  6. Doing it the way they did it, according to Sal...they just saved $2.5 million off the cap.
  7. Okay...so the Bills don't trade and KC takes Worthy at 32 because the Bills obviously weren't going to take him.
  8. Folks...think this through. The Bills obviously were not going to take Worthy. It's likely he would have fallen to the Chiefs anyway and the Bills get a 3rd rounder in the process.
  9. Or the Jets lied and said they were entertaining offers.
  10. Everyone that is upset with Beane...he can't force a trade! All of the pundits reporting that teams are open for business...don't know jack. Unless we're talking trades the magnitude of Draft Day! People, get real.
  11. Every year chaos is predicted with trades...and every year, the draft goes like a typical mock simulator...with the exception of the Atlanta pick.
  12. I'd only go back as far as 33 depending on how many WRs go in the first round before 28.
  13. OBL is now reporting that there is a report (I believe from CBS sports) that there will be an expected run on wide receivers early in the 2nd round. That could move teams at the top of the round to trade into the bottom of the first round where the run will now start. So...there may be slim pickens on WRs in the 2nd round. There are a lot of WR needy teams picking at the top of Round 2.
  14. Actually, they had a solid QB. (That was the guy who celebrated with his wife and son when the pick wasn't the QB.) Bo Callahan was the "flavor of the month," much-hyped QB prospect. The GM was under pressure by the owner, so he initially thought he needed to make a splash. In truth, the script for this movie is far-fetched, but it's an enjoyable watch if you like the NFL draft and Kevin Costner.
  15. That may be so, but...how many times are there multiple trades expected in drafts and instead, teams stand pat and let the draft fall to them? This draft will likely be different because of the QB needy teams and the number of QBs that legitimately could go in the first round. We've all been disappointed before though with being provided less excitement.
