I’m over this defensive scheme. Bring in a new DC.
Yobogoya! replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah like others my chief concern is that this defense is playing the game exactly as McD wants it to be played. Even if Frazier is let go this offseason, does McD turn over the defense to an experienced coordinator with a different philosophy? It would be like the situation when we hired Rex and had Schwartz — two different types of defensive minds just aren’t going to co exist. I don’t see that happening. If he hires someone else they’re still gonna run the scheme as McD wants it to be run. -
McD has some admirable qualities, but is he cut out to win a championship? I don’t think so at this point. He’d be better suited to helping another floundering franchise rebuild. We’ve got an elite, generational QB being wasted on a soft culture and routinely poor in game management. I don’t see how he gets fired this year, but I honestly don’t think a coordinator swap changes the problem at the top right now.

It’s not about whether our boom or bust offense is working or not— certainly this year it’s worked more often than it has not. But this thread is about the taking heads on ESPN picking the Bengals over the Bills. I’m just sayin I can’t fault anybody for going with a team that’s been taking care of the football and scoring with efficiency, even if their ceiling may not be as high as ours has been with the aggressive philosophy. I don’t think it’s any disrespect, they’re two good teams.

The Bengals have played more mistake-free football than the Bills by a wide margin, and if the game becomes a shootout the Bengals have two elite weapons (Chase, Higgins) compared to our one (Diggs). Can’t hate on anyone on the outside who picks them in this game, there’s enough objective reasons to justify it. 🤷♂️

Is it just me or do we always let offenses convert 3rd downs on us?
Yobogoya! replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall
This^ As pointed out, the Bills are statistically pretty good on third downs. But it feels like at least once a game we give up a third and 10 or more that just feels deflating. I'd be curious to know what percentage of our third downs surrendered are third and ten or more. I think as fans it's just cumulative fatigue from seeing that a lot this year. -
Lol, Marcus Peters always been overrated as hell. He sells outs for ints but if he ain’t picking off the pass he’s getting lit up.
