  1. I do believe I left the caveat for improvement... Flame away for actually having an opinion that the kid may not be great......plenty of analysts that break down his play week after week agree...just as they expressed concern throughout the entire draft process. Now that he's a Bill though he must be great. Not sure how you teach accuracy... I will never question him as a person or a competitor. If I could have 53 players with his passion and fire I would. I just don't think he's very good.
  2. With Allen looking as bad as he does, even though these two did absolutely nothing offensively to help his cause, McD and Beane must be in panic mode (Derek Anderson, really?). Not only do you have to rebuild an entire offense but your prized QB is beyond terrible. Maybe if they would have listened to the overwhelming majority of pundits they wouldn't have traded all their draft capital for a guy with suspect accuracy and pocket awareness. Couple this with underachieving at Wyoming and I'm not really sure why he was ever a consideration in the first round to begin with. If its me..and trust me I know this will not happen.. I am very seriously considering a QB with my top 10 pick next year if there isn't any progression. I know everyone wants to give it time but how often is a QB utterly awful only to turn it around and become great these days (Goff seems to be the exception to the rule - not ready to anoint Trubisky). So I'd be kicking my self in the rear if I were these guys. I gave up (2) crucial 2nd round picks that could have been used to bolster my roster even further and probably could have done so and skill gotten Josh Rosen had I stayed put. So go ahead and tell me it's too early. Some of us know when things are going to end poorly (EJ Manuel). My advice to Beane and McD is think long and hard this offseason and don't be blinded by reality...you're jobs may depend on it.
  3. My fear is becoming reality....I know it's absolute taboo but if it keeps up and I am running an NFL team I am seriously thinking about using my top 10 pick on a QB next year. The guy has suspect accuracy and not much pocket awareness. Unfortunately I think McD and Beane will hitch their wagons to this guy and be out of jobs in 2 years.
  4. He's Dick Jauron plus a lucky Cincinnati touchdown. Team played not to lose today and more often than not if you play that way you will lose. If you want to get into defensive struggles then you should be coaching High School football.
  5. By lighting draft picks on fire and padding the defense McDermott and Beane may have prematurely put the nail in their respective coffins.
  6. Good luck recruiting next year when they have all that cap space. Who the hell would want to play here?
  7. Allen had a bad game because A) he's not good B) his surrounding cast is the joke of the league.
  8. It's hilarious listening to the fans who have bought into "its all about next year when we have all this cash" and last year it was well next year we'll have our franchise QB....always kicking the can down the road to rationalize sucking. So when exactly does this regime put the full court press on and try to win? Last year was an absolute fluke and this year they are comically bad.
  9. Yeah the ultimate excuse for shipping away all of your talent and failing to upgrade critical positions around your prized QB.
  10. It takes some real balls to not surround your prized first round pick with an offensive line.
  11. An inaccurate QB with terrible receivers is a recipe for disaster
  12. You can't say that. 1 game has has turned us into a wild card contender that can blow out the Pack at Lambeau.
  13. We were outscored 75-9 through 6 quarters and now all of a sudden we have a rebuilt defense and all these star draft picks? We shouldn't give it another minute?
