  1. Oh, I agree. There were plenty of bad moves to criticize.
  2. Well that used to be what you could do with the Bills. Just criticize every move they make, because you knew eventually they would screw it up. But that mentality doesn't work anymore, so fans and media have exercise a little more critical thinking.
  3. What about the rocket arm? Allen has one. Jackson does not. Jackson needs a full windup to get it anywhere over 7 yards. Allen can flick his wrist while having guys on him or falling down and get the ball all over the place. I'd say that's a big difference. And there are many others. What they are really saying is that Jackson would benefit from having one of the best receivers in the league. Well duh. What QB wouldn't?
  4. People just make snap judgements. They are often unwilling to change their opinions until they have been thoroughly embarrassed. They point to the few times their snap judgements happened to be correct as justification. The way to guard against this is to keep an open mind, give the benefit of the doubt, and to not make final, unequivocal statements (especially in game day threads).
  5. Sometimes players go to different teams and perform better. Just like sometimes players come to OUR team and perform better. There are many, many factors to contribute to this.
  6. Yeah. I think fans delude themselves a little bit. The decision to bench Tyrod was widely accepted. There were some who questioned it for sure, but there were tons of people who agreed with it and tons, including local and national media people, who predicted that Peterman would perform better. Tyrod threw for less than 100 yards in multiple games that year. And his rushing ability was pedestrian. He was doing literally nothing to help the offense. People view the move with the benefit of hindsight, as if they should have somehow known that Peterman, the practice champion, would throw three interceptions. The one to blame is Peterman. He had opportunities and squandered them every time. Much like Tyrod has had multiple opportunities across multiple franchises and squandered them all.
  7. I poked around the Chiefs message board. I don't post, I just read. Wow. They are pretty toxic. Surprisingly so. I'm really hoping Mahomes is back and any other player they have who is hurt. And then I hope the Bills crush them. Because those fans deserve the humiliation. But realistically, the Chiefs should be favored if Mahomes is back. But to think that the Bills have no shot to win is just foolish.
  8. "The crowd was like it was at full capacity. Couldn't hear the snap count, couldn't hear really anything going on. Even at guard, I was having trouble hearing the snap count," Bozeman said. "Lamar was trying to be loud. It was as loud as max capacity in my opinion. The Bills Mafia, I guess they came together and cheered their butts off last night." Incredible. What a performance by the fans.
  9. I'd take the Superbowl. But it's a silly question.
  10. I'd be fine playing a concussed Mahomes.
  11. I feel like the Browns should have gone for two the last two TD's they scored.
  12. You do not have to take a shot to the head to get a concussion.
  13. I'm not sure it matters. Why do you care if people defend Jackson?
  14. What's with the Browns Center snapping it so low every time?
  15. The Texans just can't get out of their own way. Just light a match and walk away as the stadium burns down. That place has torn itself down to the ground already.
  16. I don't think he is top 12. And nobody else in the league thinks that either or he would have gone to a pro bowl by now. He does get pressure sometimes (and disappears in some games too). And that's good. I like Hughes. He is a good player. He just isn't elite. That's perfectly fine.
  17. I don't think so. What makes him more than a solid player?
  18. Pretty amazing. That was Jackson's first career red zone INT. Josh has yet to throw one. I wonder if there are any other 3rd year or longer starting QB's without one.
  19. Yeah. What made even more hilarious is he broke a couple tackles on that same play. He had guys hanging off of him, and then just gets ragdolled on a tiny push, haha.
  20. I don't think so. Hughes hasn't ever made the pro bowl or first or second team All-Pro. He is 5th all time for Bills in sacks with 51, which is good but not great. He is a solid player though.
  21. Exactly. I know passer rating has some flaws, but it matches what I see with my eyes and what I expect when looking at stats FAR more accurately than QBR. I don't really think passer rating is misleading unless you have a very small sample size, like a guy who comes in for one or two passes in relief.
  22. One of the best plays in Buffalo Bills history. Simply stunning. And man, the stadium seemed loud. Those 6,700 fans certainly did their part.
