  1. There is literally nothing to the rumor. Just a bunch of speculation and people refusing to believe that Josh Allen can have a couple of down games without there being some conspiracy theory behind it. Allen has missed time with injury before. If he had a concussion and needed to miss time, he would have. Similarly, they would have shut him down if playing with his elbow injury was a significant risk. The only possible thing is if only Josh Allen knew and kept it secret. But players are monitored during the game and he wasn't checked out. Nobody noticed anything wrong with him during or after either. The concussion theory is a huge, meritless stretch of the imagination.
  2. Even if he fell down in the end zone, it would not have been a safety. His forward progress would have him down at the 1.
  3. I think they were dumb to mention the ground at all when defining the rules. What they are really trying to do is gauge possession. When has possession been established? If you go to the ground and the ball comes out before possession is established, it is an incompletion. If possession has been established, it is a fumble. They say you need more than just two feet in bounds to establish possession. You need a "football move". I'm pretty sure Poyer took a third step in bounds. Shouldn't that be the football move required to complete a catch? Honestly, I think it was a pretty close call on this particular play, but there is enough there to argue that the play should have been an INT.
  4. All it takes is one injury for you to get right back on the Hines experiment train.
  5. Receiver is one of those hard positions to get in. There are so many great receivers out there. You need stats and accolades. Diggs needs to keep balling for a long time, and needs to keep getting pro bowl and all pro nods. A superbowl win or two probably really helps his chances too. But he certainly has the talent. Hopefully he has the longevity as well. He has great hands, great route running, and great competitiveness. He just has to keep it up for a long time.
  6. He is not being utilized enough, in my opinion.
  7. Maybe they meant for the Bills, like it was the first time the Bills had done it?
  8. Allen is the leading rusher, though. I don't think there is really anything to apologize about. The Bills running backs outside of Singletary had been pretty ineffective. The play calling went away from running the ball. There were legitimate concerns, and those concerns have been addressed with Moss gone, Cook developing and getting more opportunities, and the play calling sticking with running the ball more. They honestly seem to get demoralized early and after awhile it just looks like their whole team is just going through the motions. Belichick is also the least aggressive coach in the league. He is very conservative on offense. So if the defense has no hope in the offense getting a spark, that's another thing to demoralize you.
  9. That's probably true. I stand by my statement that I don't think he should have been ejected.
  10. Yeah, I know. I don't think it was flagrant and warranted an ejection. But honestly, I was not too bothered by it. It is what it is.
  11. You aren't allowed to hit them in the head. Doesn't matter if it is with your shoulder. Yes, the receiver was ducking down and he probably couldn't have done much about it, but that's what happenes sometimes. I don't think he should have been ejected.
  12. The Hamlin hit was a foul for sure. But he led with his shoulder and was probably trying to knock the ball out. The receiver was ducking down and got hit in the head. Hamlin isn't a dirty player. He wasn't trying to hurt anyone. And honestly, I'm surprised he was ejected.
  13. Really nice to see them stick with the run, for sure.
  14. Good win. They played smart football. Oline was pretty bad at times, but otherwise I liked what I saw.
  15. He did lead with his shoulder, but he hit the head and neck area. It is correctly a foul, but I am surprised by the ejection.
  16. Nope. He made a smart play. Just like he checked it down earlier to set up a field goal.
  17. Seems like the crowd is super quiet.
  18. Oh no, we have the spawn of Ed Hochuli tonight?
  19. The pass rush has not been solid WITH him actually. But a lot of that has been injuries. Hopefully with the others on the line getting healthy we will see improvement.
  20. Seems like a good offense to me. Basically a bunch of average guys with two super elite players. That's pretty awesome. BTW, Morse is more than just above average. He is a really good center.
  21. The Dolphins quick turnaround? They were 10-6 in 2020, 9-8 in 2021. You are acting like they were devoid of talent and rebuilt their team. They have been this team for a few years now. They just went through an insanely easy period of their schedule. Let's see how the season goes before we make any bold statements about the Dolphins. And even if they make the playoffs and go on a decent run, there is nothing quick about their turnaround. This is year 4 of their rebuild.
  22. Davis hasn't progressed as much as we all (including Greg Cossell) projected. Crowder is a good slot receiver, but he is injured. So yeah, outside of Diggs we do just have a bunch of guys at receiver. But Knox is a good TE. Singletary is a decent back and Cook is progressing. The offense is not devoid of talent. As for the oline, yeah, there are some issues. But it is a serviceable oline. The Bengals just went to the superbowl with a worse oline.
  23. Well, you never know. New injuries can and do happen. Just have to see how it goes. But it is also possible they can get healthy. Strange that we are to the point with injuries that we are EXCITED to only have Hyde and Miller out. The last couple of years we would have been really nervous if we were missing two players on defense of that caliber. This year it is the healthiest we have been for a very long time.
  24. It is all just a trickle down effect of the injuries. Tre White was out, which made Dane Jackson our #1. Hyde and Poyer have been out/hurt, which puts more backups on the field. Elam and Benford have been hurt, forcing even more backups on the field. Edmunds and Milano have taken turns missing games, putting more backups and more stress on the passing defense. And pass rushers have been hurt, which puts even more stress because the secondary has to cover for longer. This leads to the coaches trying to scheme differently to cover all the new player deficiencies and also the backups are not capable of doing all the things the starters are, and that eventually trickles down to Johnson having to account for a lot more and is asked to do a lot more, such as more man coverage and less help from the linebackers and safeties. Even one injury to a starter has a trickle down effect on all the other positions. If half the starters are out, that ripple effect is compounded each time. You can only do so much to cover it up. Backups are backups for a reason. Good depth is nice, nut not when half of your defensive depth is now asked to start. Really, we just need to get the defense healthy and all this stuff will fix itself.
