QB Confidence is a rare commodity right now (AFC)

I personally think that Watson will never be very good again. But we'll see. -
QB Confidence is a rare commodity right now (AFC)
MJS replied to SageAgainstTheMachine's topic in The Stadium Wall
Tua is kind of like Dak. He is a good QB, but he isn't great and can't put the team on his back and will them to victory. It is hard to move on from good QB's, but it is also hard to overcome the truly great ones in the playoffs and super bowl. -
I agree. It would take something crazy from Allen or one of the others to for McCaffrey to lose it, but maybe the QB bias comes into play?
-
Dak has zero chance now. Hill has not much of a chance since he missed games, in my opinion. Purdy probably doesn't now that he had a horrible game where he threw 4 INT's. McCaffrey, Jackson, and Allen are the ones with a shot. But the narrative around Allen has been too negative all year, so I don't think he has much of a shot either unless he plays out of his mind the last couple of weeks.

Bills will probably be #3 or #2 seed if they win out
MJS replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, it wasn't a playoff game. The 49ers weren't going to be eliminated with a loss. It makes a difference. -
It wasn't really open. Benford was there. Another couple of Bills were getting there. He cut it back inside for a reason. The Dolphins beat the Pats a few years ago with that type of play.

Turnovers - The Bills Achilles Heel (Statistical Overview)
MJS replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah. Turnovers kill every team, including the Bills. It is the #1 thing they need to fix. They have to take care of the ball better. Period. -
I fought the Jags love at the beginning of the season, but nobody listened to me. It is way different going from a 5 win team to a 9 win team compared to going from a 9 win team to a 12 win team. It is an exponential curve of difficulty. The Jags have never proven they can be in the mix for a one seed, or even a double digit win team with consistency. They still have another gear they have to discover and learn how to achieve before I will take them seriously.

Kickers are 26/27 in FGs against us this year
MJS replied to SageAgainstTheMachine's topic in The Stadium Wall
Same thing with dropped INT's. If the ball is anywhere close to a defender, they make an amazing catch on it. I watch other games and see dropped INT's all the time. In fact, I watch OUR team drop INT's all the time. This has not been a lucky year at all. -
Trevor Lawrence is not talked about as much because he hasn't ascended to elite QB status yet.
-
The Bills can easily create 30+ million in cap space. Next year will be just fine. Beane knows what he is doing.
-
What!? It seems like he should be 34 or something. That's a lot.

Welcome to football. Sometimes your team makes mistakes. Sometimes you have to scratch and claw to get a win. Sometimes bad teams make it close, or even beat good teams. The Bills won. That is the reality. Winning is hard in the NFL. Enjoy it. Heaven knows how sucky losses are, so don't make the wins sucky too.
-
If the Bills lose a game, that means Miami has to lose two games. It could happen, but that makes it much harder to get into the playoffs. There is very little chance of a wild card if the Bills lose one since the tie breakers are so bad for Buffalo.

I liked it! Tough crowd around here.

The Vibe of this Team feels different… to me at least
MJS replied to loveorhatembillsfan4life's topic in The Stadium Wall
It is the vibe of winning. -
I've actually noticed this a bunch this year. Lots of guys in motion and begin moving forward before the snap, or they are running laterally, but at an angle towards the line of scrimmage which means they are technically moving forward. We might see a point of emphasis on this next year, because it is getting kind of sloppy out there. Me too, but I think it has gotten a lot worse this year.
-
I had no idea he was that old. Wow.
-
Kicking them in cold weather hurts, too. The leather gets all hard and I'm pretty sure you can't kick as far.

I'll just add that all the artificial sound when attending games really sucks too. We don't need all that extra noise, in my opinion. Maybe someone to announce relevant facts in a calm manner. I attended the Bills vs Saints game in New Orleans back whenever that was recently. Man, they pumped so much sound into that stadium it was ridiculously uncomfortable. I did not realize I needed to bring ear plugs. Just let the fans make the noise!
