  1. Diggs plays mainly in the slot now, right?
  2. They said the plan was for Strong to get a couple of series to play before the game even started. White wasn't pulled because of poor play. It was just to get Strong some playing time. But I agree with the point about his health. Obviously, something isn't right with him and they decided to shut him down for four weeks to get himself fully healthy. The Bills are one of the more cautious teams with injuries. Right. I completely forgot about him.
  3. Well, there were games for the Vikings where he was really good and made really impressive throws, so I don't think it is accurate to say that he didn't have any high level plays. The way he is playing now was always in him. Even going back to his first couple of years with the Jets, he had impressive plays and even full games. His problem was always consistency and making bone headed decisions in stressful situations. He has always had all the tools, though.
  4. Nothing good ever happens after midnight, especially when alcohol is involved.
  5. That gets too close to questioning their fandom, in my opinion. There's no reason to believe that they aren't die hard fans just like you and me just because they are from Canada. Heck, I've only been to Buffalo once in my life. I'm from the West. But I'm still a loyal fan regardless of whatever teams are in the areas I live. I now live in Louisiana, but I don't cheer for the Saints or LSU just because I live here.
  6. For the Toronto Bills fans, which there are a lot of, that's not the case. They like their Canadian teams and also the Bills. I think it's fine for the Bills to acknowledge that.
  7. He has been awesome. It is so nice to have a good pass rusher versus just a good defensive end. He actually finishes and makes splash plays.
  8. You do have to be in good shape for soccer, but you spend most of it just jogging around, staying in your zone. Then quick bursts when the ball comes to you. But with his size he'd be a defender, which requires less running around anyway.
  9. Sean McDermott has a very good record against the Shanahan tree of coaches as well. Other teams must be really frustrated with the Bills because they pick up 3rd and longs all the time as well.
  10. True, but he brings in QBs who have the traits he wants. All those guys are accurate, timing based QBs who just run the plays and stay within the scheme and system. They succeed because they are who the system was designed to use. Tua would be good there, for instance. The problem is when things break down, those guys can't do much. But he has shown you can get pretty far with QBs like that.
  11. Yeah, I still think he can't block very well 😉 Allen got his MVP. It doesn't matter. Aldo, I'm not sure MVP voters considered Henry when evaluating Lamar Jackson's MVP case. Fans sure talked about it, but that doesn't mean much. Plus, Cook had his breakout year last year as well. That could have similarly been used against Allen.
  12. Everybody eats. And everybody drinks the juice.
  13. I don't think they can win the superbowl this week. Just go take a nap and I'll wake you up when the Bills have won one.
  14. Rest them if they aren't ready to go. Play them if they are. Simple as that. That should happen even if he is healthy.
  15. We already have receivers the same caliber as Meyers. No thanks. Why would we trade Knox for a 5th round pick? Especially since the 3 TE set has been so successful and he is a big part of that. That makes no sense. We already have guys coming off of suspension to help at DT and DE. We're not going to swing for a big name, so what's the point? We could add a corner, I guess.
  16. I don't really know how you can have a league without a governing body to enforce rules, coordinate efforts, ensure quality, focus on generating profits, promote the league and sport, etc. People call that collusion, and I guess it is, but what is the alternative, really? That's what I don't get. How would they prefer it run? They aren't 32 individual entities. They are part of a league and depend on each other on a whole host of things.
  17. Nobody is
  18. The more restriction to movement, the harder it is to do their job.
  19. I don't really get it. You are speaking in a lot of generalities. What specifically do you think could be going on here?
  20. I don't think we need to for a couple of reasons. 1) the NFL makes BILLIONS of dollars by providing a high quality, fair league. If fans get even a hint that things are fixed, they lose interest and that hurts profits. The NFL doss not need to fix games to make boat loads of money. They already do. Not even slightly worth the risk. 2) What NFL owner signs up to be less profitable losers while allowing other teams to be more profitable and perennial winners? You think the owner of the Browns and Jets wouldn't want a fair share of winning by fixing games in their favor? If games are fixed, some teams are getting a really short stick and they wouldn't stand for that. 3) This isn't boxing. You can't convince a single person to throw a game and have that be meaningful. You have a roster of 50+ players and an entire coaching staff. All of them are well paid and lose their jobs if they don't consistently win. 4) Teams or players caught cheating are always looking for s competitive edge to win more, not the other way around. If games were fixed, players, coaches, and owners would not be cheating to find a competitive edge to win.
  21. Who is arguing that racism doesn't and didn't exist, especially in the 1960s?
  22. I guess my one issue with this is not that he is calling the league a cartel, it's just the connotation that people have with that word. They think of illegal criminal drug cartels. The NFL is a legal cartel. The NFL was given anti trust exemptions, so why would they not use that to their miximum benefit? Their goal is to make money. Americans (and now other countries) are shoveling their money into NFL coffers because they love the product so much. Everyone benefits because the league and everyone associated makes a ton of money and people get a high quality product to consume regularly. We're not talking about the price of wheat or oil here. The high price of football entertainment hurts nobody. If it costs too much, people can consume it in limited quantities practically for free. But if you want unfettered access, you have to pay for it.
