  1. A lottery system huh. Yep, the NFL would NEVER favor one team over another, there would be NO CONTROVERSY, NO CONSPIRACY theories, none. Imagine if the Patriots happened to win the lottery despite all odds. I am only a modest hockey fan but everytime I see Connor McDavid tearing up the league, makes me want to hate the NHL draft,
  2. It totally depends if there is a readily identifiable "slam dunk" future franchise QB. The only two slam dunks in my lifetime worth tanking for were Andrew Luch and Peyton Manning,
  3. I guess Tom Brady signifies how critical 6th rd draft picks can be. You are wrong, your assertion of a 1 over/under for the NFL was asinine, you can either be intellectually honest about it or not. It is very rare for an NFL team in today's parity-based league to win only 1 or no games. Does it happen yes, is it very rare, absolutely, not even up to debate.
  4. Not if match based off handicaps, what is he a 2?
  5. Culley was in way over his head, never should have been hired. If he was the Bills HC you would be livid. He made multiple guffaws that cost the Texans games including against the Patriots, HOUSTON -- In hindsight, Houston Texans coach David Culley acknowledged Monday that he wishes he had declined a penalty during a narrow loss to the New England Patriots that would have involved accepting a touchdown along with gaining crucial additional time for the offense to make a late comeback attempt. By declining the illegal shift penalty during Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson’s touchdown run in hopes of defensive coordinator Lovie Smith's defense forcing a turnover on ensuing downs, Culley set the stage for the Patriots burning through most of the remaining time And the Browns, Texans coach David Culley made one of the strangest coaching decisions in the NFL in Week 2. He declined a defensive penalty that would have kept a Texans drive alive and proceeded to punt the ball. To recap, the Texans had the ball on their own 38-yard line early in the second quarter and were facing a third-and-15. Browns defensive end Takkarist McKinley jumped offside on the third-down play, on which Taylor connected with Brandin Cooks for a 13-yard gain. From there, the Texans had a couple of decisions. The team could accept the penalty and try to convert a third-and-10, or Culley could decline it and try to convert a fourth-and-2 from Cleveland's 49-yard line. Instead, Houston chose to unexpectedly punt. Culley admitted on Monday that his decision to do so was a mistake. There were more, he should have been fired.
  6. Yeah there is a lot of truth to that. Goes back to ownership, Cal McNair is not very smart and lazy, the path of least resistance was to give O'brien the power. O Brien should have been fired immediately when he traded Deandre Hopkins for an over the hill running back....things simply got progressively worse after that, he had a big guaranteed contract, more than a few people O Brien wanted to get fired and get the $..
  7. Yawn...if you are looking for an internet fight I am not interested. Have a nice day.
  8. This is going to get better. Now Belichek is entering the cross hairs. "the more Flores speaks, the more he appears to point to Belichick as being a significant witness — and possibly even a participant — in some of the systemic problems plaguing the NFL’s hiring process. That’s what Flores suggested this week on the National Public Radio podcast “The Limits.” That notion went a little further beyond Belichick’s texts being included as an exhibit in the lawsuit".
  9. As in energy & motivation. He said, there are other tings in life he wants to pursue, showing up for a couple of days through the season is one thing, the grind of a full year is something else.
  10. Because i choose not to share the basis for my opinion doesn't equate to it having no basis, not sure you can comprehend that concept or not.
  11. Yeah I didn't hear anything on Edmunds either but he is correct, we were out of position pre-snap which is really inexcusable given we had timeouts & have an alleged defensive minded HC and a seasoned DC. Bruce did a great job, very insightful.
  12. They both did a great job. Stefon is a very personable/good natured person.
  13. Explain. What is that, on order? My opinion, you dont agree, i dont care.
  14. Aaron Rodgers and Bill Belichek, Brian Dabol, Nathaniel Hackett, Pete Carrol.
  15. I dont know. I could never give Gase any credit after the bizarre introduction press conference to the Jets, he lost all credibility with me.
  16. I agree although except for his flare up with Brady, O Brien got along well with Belichek & Co.
  17. LOL, actually he might do a good job. Both Gase and O Brien were meant to be coordinators, neither was cut out as an NFL HC.
  18. 1? LOL, not even close. If there was ever a over/under with just one win ALL the $ would come in on the over and wouldn't last long. Do you know how "difficult" it is to NOT win in the NFL? How many teams only win 1 or no games, rarely happens. Even as dysfunctional as Jax with a goofball coach and rookie QB was they managed to win 3. And here were the pre-season over/unders from last year https://www.thelines.com/odds/nfl-win-totals/
  19. No incorrect. The over/under before the season started when it was 99% certain there would be no Watson was 4 games. I dont know what the over under was when Watson was still a possibility but the odds of him returning were dropping daily.
  20. Sports radio in Houston had a field day mocking the Texans with McCown's explanation of why he didnt coach last year. Paraphrasing, he said he wasn't ready to be a HC last year when he first interviewed and wanted to watch his sons play high school football. So he said NOW he " was all in " to be HC because he had that one year to watch his sons play high school football as if he is now prepared to be an NFL HC.
  21. way way before it was obvious Watson wasnt playing for the Texans. And he wasnt exactly benched but that is not worth delving into.
  22. Who is going to lose their team first, Daniel Snyder or Steven Ross?
  23. I have zero animus toward Culley, zero. Now if he were the Bills HC I would be livid with him and his jaw dropping mistakes. Unfortunately, I get to hear the woes of the Texans living in Houston, inundated with it. No obviously I dont know exactly who made the actual decisions but 1) Culley was the HC and 2) read that article i referenced, he said those were his mistakes. If Culley was distracted that was his fault. I have heard a lot of Culley press conferences and the man simply isnt that smart. I have had interaction with the Texans front office, and I can tell you the current owner has the IQ of a fencepost and the entire organization is wildly dysfunctional. They have an owner that thinks he is a minister, a minister that thinks he is the owner, a GM that thinks he is HC and a HC that just wanted to retire (Culley) and get his $ which he did. I think it was $24 million.
  24. They should have been in his headseat, Culley made some idiotic mistakes that cost the Texans some games. He was a nice guy but in way over his head. https://theathletic.com/2883499/2021/10/12/david-culley-admits-his-mistakes-but-will-the-texans-coach-learn-from-them/
  25. Not true at all, totally false and often repeated narrative. The over/under for the Texans was 4, exactly how many games they won. And Culley was not a good coach at all, he made some incredible blunders is why he was fired. They should have beat the Patriots but Culley and his dumb decisions let the Texans gave the game away.
