Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)
vanhalen26 replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
I do like that glass roof for the titans. I guess that wouldn’t work in Buffalo with all the snow. But it would be the best of both worlds. Natural light and feel, but protected from the elements. I’m older now and don’t enjoy the cold weather games as much as the earlier season games. I still attend, but I don’t like the cold. -
I don’t think it’ll change much for me. I’m boring - I sit my ass down, maybe run for a bathroom break at the half, and just watch the game. The sightline shouldn’t be much different. For my wife however, I think it will make a difference. She avoids the colder games for the most part and complains about the cold when she does come - so having the warm area to shuffle off to will probably result in her coming to more games which is a good thing. I also don’t like the field club game day pricing for the new seats. We are lucky that it’s in our budget, but it’s going to make it harder to invite friends.

We bought the field clubs. Pretty excited. That said, I would’ve preferred either a dome or a renovation to the current stadium. I think the current stadium has great sight lines all over and with they could have preserved it. Yea, the concourse is crowded but I spend the game in my seats. This new stadium is a hybrid between a dome and the current - not sure why they didn’t go all in on a refurb or dome.

Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)

I wonder what this is all about. It’s reported that the Bills reduce available PSLs by 3,725 to accommodate NFL holds and sponsorships. This seems exceedingly high, Let’s say each player can get 4 seats and they keep another 500 for the team admin and NFL requests - that’s still under 1,000 seats. I wonder if the team is just holding a bunch back so they can have an allotment (besides the standing room) to sell and manage on their own. Realistically they don’t need almost 4,000 for team and nfl requests. I also wonder where these holdbacks are. If they are for team and nfl and sponsor requests, I’d imagine they are good seats. -
What a pain in the ass. Trying to plan a couple fall things into our schedule and it would be nice to have this schedule some time in April. Bunch of goofs. And a 3 hour reveal? They are drinking their own koolaid. Waste of time.

For those who sit in the lower bowl, where’s your ideal view?
vanhalen26 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I prefer lower bowl mid field, home side, 15 rows up. Great game view in my opinion. -
The team was happier paying him millions to not play for them vs fill a spot last season. I can’t see any path to them leaning into this, not even on a vet minimum deal.

We just spent a year in cap jail to shed attitude like this. No thanks. Even last year it felt like it’s all about the $$ with him. He’d also accept paid photo and autograph signing opportunities, and look completely disinterested. Yes, nothing to do with football - but he just always seemed to project this to me. He’s talented, no doubt there. But I think the very good O line plus having a player like Josh who is also a run threat + can extend plays all combined to put him in the perfect spot to help him to such a statistically strong year. If he goes somewhere else, I’d suspect his production would drop significantly. I’d probably reluctantly trade him. I don’t think he’s worth the $. Pay him less and you’ve got a sulker on the team. Meet his demand and you’ve opened the door to more of this from others. This team would be better served by over investing in WR or the leaky D vs running back.

Should the NFL do a consumer product survey of its customers (fans)?
vanhalen26 replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
My biggest pet peeve is flexing games, especially when they move days. Total disrespect for fans who plan months ahead and book flights and hotels. -
I guess the gameday call ups will help reveal how confident they are in what players will make it through the game.

The AFC Championship game is not sold out yet

Flight prices were very high. We entertained going but it’s too much for 3 people. -
A good breakdown showing Dawson Knox’s value to the Bills
vanhalen26 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I haven’t looked at stats but from just watching it seems like Knox’s hands have improved and he’s more reliable now when he’s thrown to. Seemed like a lot more drops early in his career. I think Kincaid is decent, but didn’t live up to the expectations vs where he was drafted. It might be a bit redundant having both of them once Kincaid starts costing more $. -
A couple betting sites now showing 6:30 Sunday. Sportsinteraction and MGM. Last week DraftKings beat the tv announcement, so the two sites above are probably correct.

It’s simple. Victims of their own success. It’s expensive to go to games. If you’re gonna go to one or the other you’ll go next week. if they lose tomorrow you’ll be just as happy you skipped it, and if they win you’ll have saved some bank for tickets for the Divisional round. We’ve got 3 seasons. Seats to this week and next are around $1.5k. Over and above that we have PSL payments monthly. At some point, it gets to be a bit much to attend every game.

Von Miller needs 1 sack for $1.5 million

That’s what I thought, a half sack at best. -

On the replay it didn’t like it should go to Von, but good for him. Now he can sit. -

12/22/24 GAMEDAY Week 15 Bills vs Patriots* Post GameThread

I was at the game and throughout the game, even before the last drive, the calls felt very unbalanced and one sided. But I didn’t have the benefit of TV replay so I’m not entirely sure. I’ll watch the broadcast this week to get a better sense of whether most calls were legit or the officials had a bad game.
