I think they are toast this year. Come back healthy next year and not slammed with injuries the D could be decent. And need to focus any $$ available and draft picks on receivers. Then we can bounce back. I’ll bet Pegula is relieved the new Highmark sales are almost complete.

This is not a coaching issue. Look at the talent level of the roster and the cap issue.

Sounds like they are fishing for more names for the upper bowl. I guess it’s not selling as well as they hoped. I think lower bowl sold well. Lots of obstructed views in the 400s unfortunately. i tried to post that update for discussion in the big new stadium facebook group. But they are a rah rah group and only interested in cheerleading. The admin won’t approve any legit discussion. in fact, I scooped the admin on early pricing and posted it as an FYI with images and she deleted my post as she didn’t like my comments and said she’d wait for others to confirm my info. These boards are better - you can legit discuss.

What did you think of going for the field goal with under 30 seconds left and a 7 point lead. It worked out but I would have either run the ball to gain a couple more yards or punted to push them back. My fear was the risk of missing the kick was too high and giving them a short field to go for the win (with a quick score and 2 pointer). I thought our D could tie them up for 25 seconds if they were deep and no time outs left.

We attend nearly all. Might have to miss my first in 3 years this year (Eagles unfortunately). 2.5 hour drive to the game for us which isn’t bad. Wondering how many people attend some vs all?

Might also be to promote the raptors - so mutually beneficial I guess. Im from Toronto, have seasons at the current and new stadium and go to every game. It’s an easy commute. i also have raptors seasons and rarely bump into anyone from Buffalo. So maybe that is part of it and will come to light later. And MLSE is owned by the same company that owns the Blue Jays. So some opportunities there as well.

Maybe that’s it. Sell merch and tickets and drive up ticket demand.

I can’t figure out why this is good for either team other than having a new channel to sell merchandise in Toronto.

There will always be secondary. We got 4 very good field clubs. We weren’t looking for 4, but the rep said we had to take 4 if we wanted the seats. Most games we have 2 or 3 people (currently have 3 seats), so I know we’ll be selling the seats we don’t use and I’m sure others will to. When my family grows, I’ll be using all 4 personally more often.

That’s pretty much it. Some of the postgame news conference will be held there as well. The seats are over a dugout - it’s elevated so people can enter and exit below. As a result the first row is row 6, and we’d be row 8. The sales rep said row 1 is higher at the new stadium to comply with nfl rules and offer better sightlines and he estimated our row 8 would be like row 13 at the current, so we should be able to see fine other than the cameras that roll back and forth. There is a small viewing patio on the field that they give us access to as well, but I don’t think it’ll be worth standing in during a game - that will be too low to see over the players. But it could be fun for kids during warm ups or post game I guess.

We bought field clubs, 3 rows up right at mid field. The price stings but we can’t take the $$ to the grave so wtf. I’m guessing in around 15 years we’ll be selling - based on location if any seats in the section hold their value, these should.

I have a really good contact in china, but for NFL I do find the color always slightly off.

I counted the gambling ads within the broadcast (so excluding commercials) of an nhl playoff game. So this would be board advertising, promos, etc - and there were 6 or 7 different companies. It’s really ridiculous. I do believe the ads glamorize gambling and are fueling addiction.
