  1. Never understood the love for the guy. His pocket awarness and movement led to way too many sacks, and he had more tipped passea at the line than guys four or five inches shorter than him. To be fair I also hated Allen on tape.
  2. Halfway through part one and I gotta tell you the high school qb and his dad dont seem that credible to me.
  3. Havent watched film on him yet. The knock on him that keeps popping up is he plays weaker than his size. Doesnt fight off press coverage well or block. Have to make my own conclusion when I watch him.
  4. Before this turns into a debate over anti-vaxxers. Luca had the vaccine. It's not full proof and doesn't include all strains. How about just RIP.
  5. The article didnt seem to take into account total yardage and total touchdowns when compared to other qbs. It also didnt seem to take into account w-l pct%. Hard to make comparisons when you dont include the entirety of his game.
  6. How so? They are literally the exact same thing. Jamarcus Russell also didnt reach his potential. The difference is no one gave him another shot. Using your logic you're essentially stating guys like Blaine Gabbert, and David Carr weren't busts because they outlasted their first team. Watkins is JAG in the NFL right now, and was taken in the Top 5 of a draft, he is 100% a bust. Agree to disagree, but Watkins was drafted to be DeAndre Hopkins and he ended up being Kendall Wright.
  7. Right because the only bust in the entire history of the NFL draft was Jamarcus Russell. Sammy was picked 4th overall, the expectation for a player picked that high is at the very least to be a long term number#1 wideout. To this point, he has been an average number 2, to an above average #3. He was the first wideout picked in that draft and to current he is at best the 8th most productive wideout from that class. Beckham, Evans, Robinson, Cooks, Landry, Adams, and John Brown have all had better careers to this point. If Martavis Bryant keeps his nose clean he is the better wideout to this point too. He has been oft injured (played one full season ever), has only had more than 60 receptions in a season once, has 1 (barely) 1000 yard season, and only caught more than 5 touchdowns in three of his six seasons. Sorry, but he is a draft bust. And for the guy saying if he plays another six years he will be top 50 in yards all time. These are his last four years worth of reception yardage, 430, 593, 519, and 673, he may get to top 50 all time in yardage, but in reality the guy is having a Peerless Price type of career.
  8. Youre 100% correct but for some reason people on this board still think Sammy is more than an average number two wideout If it takes him 12 years to do so its not that impressive. You need to normalize stats to get the real story. He was picked number 4 overall. He is and always was a bust.
  9. Let this be a lesson to all of us, stay out of TGIF and away from married women while serving your three year probation for gun possession, people may think you're a bad guy. In all seriousness, the theft of $20 dollars is a bit of a stretch.
  10. Its the girls fault she got hit. Its the cops fault he was in trouble. He grew up in a bad environment. For not being a snowflake you sure do make a ton of excuses for people. If you continually find yourself in bad situations, its probably not the world s fault. And if he didnt do anything wrong why was he hiding in a closet again?
  11. Agree to disagree man. If this was a bunch of 16-18 year old high school kids I'd have less of a problem. But, a grown man using the n word constantly and calling middle-schoolers what he did is unacceptable. I also dont want to hear about the environment he grew up in. Plenty of people grow up in a bad environment and dont proliferate the same idiocy when they become adults. I have no problem with hard coaching, but at that level its uncalled for. At that age they arent even football players, they are kids learning a game.
  12. In this instance, I am fine with that.
  13. Pretty sure your post here shows exactly why you think Lynch is a good guy. These kids werent teenagers, as young as nine years old. He was also using other colorful language beyond what you posted here, but its all good because he's a swell guy. I am sure youd be cool with another person calling your kid that, or the other things he was calling them during the instruction.
  14. I did a lot of stupid things when I was young. I also coach football like he does at his camps. I've never called a kid a slur and got in a fight with his Mom over it because I grew up. This incident with calling kids slurs just happened last summer, he wasnt 21. Its awesome to give back to your community. A lot of people do, it doesnt make you a saint just because you show up. The good part is showing up and providing a role model for kids to change their lives. Not just to continue being what is acceptable in a horrible condition. I am sorry but just because he coaches football and gives from his abundance of money doesnt make him a good guy, when he does it and provides a bad example for the kids. And just for argument sake, if you took your kid to a camp and the guy running it called them a slur, would you continue to think he was a "good guy"?
  15. I dont disagree. My point is the media attached itself to Lynch because of the Beastmode, Skittles, Doesnt Care about Authority attitude. He was like the antihero. You want to tell that to the Mom he got in a fight with for calling her kid a slur? Or the person he hit with his car? He isnt a good guy. He is a guy with money who puts himself out in front of his neighborhood by providing another in a long list of horrible role models. Just because you have the means to make yourself a role model, doesnt mean you are one.
  16. No they were good backs. There is a contingent that thinks Lynch belongs in the HoF when he hasnt had as good a career as someone like LeSean McCoy. Lynch was great for four years out of a 12 year career. Otherwise he was just another runningback.
  17. Its not uncommon for football players to graduate in three years. A. He probably was early enrollment B. He majored in Social Welfare and C. I would bet good money he didnt do a whole lot of studying by himself during those years. I would also venture to say that a guy who was a consensus first round draft pick, and was a shoe in to make millions of dollars had a fair amount of help from the university in graduating given the potential for large donations. I am sorry but if you want to convince me that a guy who swears at children, hits a woman with his car, brings his own alcohol to nightclubs, and hides in closets to avoid the police is a member of mensa you arent going to get far. Additionally, was and continues to be one of the most hyped and overrated players at his positions because he acts like a clown and eats skittles. People want to talk about the guy like he is a great back when he is essentially in the same class as guys like Ricky Williams and Eddie George.
  18. I spent about three years of my life as a touring musician. Baltimore and Kentucky were my least favorite places to travel. Baltimore was nothing but methadone clinics and the distinct feeling that you were always ten seconds away from being robbed.
  19. Lets be honest the shops and restaurants around the inner harbor are nice, but its also overrun with homelessness and poverty.
  20. I dont think anyone was looking at the video and saying, look at this guy from Oakland who cant speak well. You're projecting a bit there. Also, give me a break on the Cal Berkeley garbage, he didnt attend college to major in Chemical Biology. He went to Cal for Football.
  21. The one player who continually makes me feel like I have no idea about football is Tremaine Edmunds. I know he is young, but I just dont feel like he is a difference maker, yet I am constantly told how good he is and what a freak he is. I actually thought he was better the second half of his rookie season than he was this year. He reminds me a lot of the Sammy Watkins stuff. Everyone keeps telling you he is on the cusp of being an all-pro and they remind you every season, and then its season seven and it never happened.
  22. He's missed games in 5 out of 6 seasons. Averages 6 sacks a year and is going on 27 years old. Again, I think he is an exceptional edge setter. But no way in hell am I paying anywhere near 20 million dollars a season for a guy who isn't in the top five in the league is sacks. He is a good player. But he isn't the type of game changer that guys like Khalil Mack, Von Miller, and Chandler Jones are. He isnt even the best pass rusher in his own free agency class.
  23. He is a good edge setter, just dont think he is an elite pass rusher. He had three sacks this year, three! He isnt a game wrecker by any means.
  24. I'll tell you what I aint doing. I aint paying no sorry defensive end 7 million dollars a sack. I aint paying him that, not to sit there and watch him collect his check and not play a full season, I'd hate that.
