Roster Moves to Sign Brown & Beasley to the 53?
thenorthremembers replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
If they bring them on the squad then you have plenty of players you can move off. Brandin Bryant, Baylon Spector, Justin Murray, Bobby Hart. Guys youd be able to get back on the practice squad for unlimited elevations during the post season if you run into injuries. -
I remember watching his full games on youtube leading up to the draft. Not sure what happened between now and then, but the guy looked like a sure fire pro bowl guard prospect. Manhandled people at the point of attack, athletic enough to get out in space and just destroy people. Never got what the Bills saw in him as a Tackle, but thought for sure he'd be a plug and play guard. Just goes to show you, not many guys get to the NFL, and not many guys stay once they are there.

Not going to get an argument from me. I dont think he qualifies as either. -
Week 15: Dolphins at Bills on Saturday Night Football

Very much in the minority but I like the all reds. Given the potential for snow, I think the Reds may help. Wish they'd stick to the white/white, blue/blue, and red/red. I absolutely hate the white/blues. Miss the throwbacks a lot as well. -

This has come up with Sullivan in the past. He has actually responded to that exact accusation by saying that he isnt a journalist, he is a columnist. And as a columnist part of his job is to provide his opinion. This came up around the time he was originally stripped of his credentials. -

Gotta normalize it by target or it doesnt mean anything. Once you normalize it by target you see that he was actually about as good as Diggs this year and better than McKenize, Shakir, and Davis. Diggs 7= .05 Davis 7=.09 McKenzie 5=.09 Shakir 2=.11 Knox 2=.04 2021 Beasley 6=.05 -

Pointing to one game and allowing it to define his entire season is the definition of hyperbolic. Time will tell which one of us is correct. Maybe its neither of us. -

Dude! I am not saying OBJ is never playing football again. I am saying that when he comes back I dont expect him to be as productive as he was, even the production he had when he came back from his last injury which was essentially borderline #3. He has blown out the same knee twice in the last two years. If that doesnt concern you in the least, fine, so be it. If you dont think the Bills signing two players at the same position as OBJ plays in the days after he visited the team, fine. I completely disagree with you. My thought is they are way more likely to sign either Beasley or Brown to the active roster this year than they are to sign another wideout, especially one who doesnt know the offense, hasnt played with Josh before, and is coming off two serious injuries to the same knee in the last 26 months. -

So when does the news come that Sullivan has been let go, and the follow up on his lawsuit? Its coming for sure. WGR just made a point to call him out by name. -

Correct, I am not privy to OBJ or Von's medical charts. I didnt realize you needed to have those to form a common sense opinion on whether signing two players at the position OBJ plays is likely a death nail to the Bills still having him in their plans. Agree to disagree I suppose. -

I was referring to the Medical Journal article I provided you that shows that 69% of WRs who undergo ACL surgery see a drop in production when they come back to play. OBJ has two of those surgeries on the same knee. I was referring to the statistics I gave you as an answer about John Brown not actually having a chance to do anything on the field since his return. Rather than take the time to give a thought out answer to those things you instead came up with winners like "So we should Cut Von Miller?" "Ill need to see your MD and a copy of the scans of OBJ's knee" So incredibly silly. -

Yes, that exactly what I said......... Everyone of the arguments you've made in this thread have been completely obtuse. You argue facts and statistics with hyperbole. -

Well actually, some dont. And of those who do, a majority of them have decreased production. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8129483/ -

You dont live in the past yet you are holding out hope that the Bills sign a guy who hasnt played a full season or been productive as a #2 wideout since 2019? I wont disagree that the expectations shouldnt over the moon for either Brown or Beasley, but that wasnt your original argument. What are back and forth was about was whether signing those two meant OBJ wasnt coming this year, and I think thats exactly what they mean. -

I answered your question in my first response. He hasn't caught a pass. I then asked you what you thought he was supposed to do in 11% percent of the snaps on 1 target? I then told you that football is just about Sundays. So he has done more than the guy you want to bring in. I also asked what Odell has done this year besides be caught up in a circus? -

I assume he has learned the playbook and got himself ready in case he needs to be elevated to the main roster permanently during the playoffs. Football isn't just played on Sundays. What has OBJ done in the same time frame to prove he was worth the money and the roster spot? While he was TMZing at the Mavericks game, Brown was working. You can hold out hope the Bills sign OBJ for the playoffs but I think thats a long shot at this point -

Completely disagree. What did you expect Brown to do in 11% of the snaps on one target?
