  1. That’s probably game.
  2. Belichick can be very good at scheming for Josh. Play contain on your defensive line with a pressure look pre-snap, and all you need is for 1 guy to get close enough to Josh to start him running into the containment lol.
  3. When they said NE hadn’t scored off of a turnover, I already knew they were gonna score 😂
  4. Think Peppers was playing the underneath flat and Josh didn’t see him, but he closed the distance fast. As I was watching the play, I figured Josh would hit the RB underneath.
  5. Awesome. I know this little tidbit you mention might seem obvious to folks who bet regularly, but for me this clarified a lot. I instinctively knew the purpose of oddsmakers was to craft the odds so that the house always wins regardless of the outcome, but the overall principle that guides the oddsmakers in this process was eluding me. Thanks a bunch!
  6. If that's the case, then that's fair. But when I first asked, you did say that the decision making to responsibility ratio was worse for your college experience than it was before, so I had to press the point.
  7. Gotcha! The +/- thing makes sense now with both the $82 calculation and the "easiest way" numbers. Thank you.
  8. Thanks! Do you know how the "+150" and "-180" numbers in your example would be determined? Additionally, from the thread title's use of the word "early", I assume these numbers change over time. How and why do they change leading up to the game?
  9. So if I bet on the Jags to "win", and they lose by 4 points IRL, then I've won my bet because you subtract -4.5 points from the Bills score to determine the "betting score" (I'm making up terms so sorry if I'm massacring the lingo lol). But let's say I bet $100 on this outcome... how much do I win? How is that part calculated? With the over/under thing, does that only affect the bets on the total points scored by both teams? Or does it affect other types of bets too?
  10. I still have no idea how betting works, what these numbers mean, who gets to come up with them, or how they do it. So thus far, bangarang's comment is (ironically) the only one that makes sense to me lol.
  11. Perfect post. Let's go Kaiir! We Billieve!
  12. Did you not grow up around other children? Someone died in my neighborhood where I grew up because they decided to run after a ball and got hit by a car. Children have near-zero responsibility (babies probably have zero, period), so even if the decision making abilities of children was the same as college students (it's not), then the sheer difference in responsibility levels alone would produce different ratios. I *think* what you're trying to say is that college students tend to have that sense of invincibility that comes with youth, which in turn leads them to make poorer decisions than they would have otherwise made without that sense of invincibility.
  13. Really? Do you not have any memory of your life before college? Because I can say with absolute certainty that my life before college had an even higher "terrible decisions to responsibility" ratio amongst the people that surrounded me day-to-day.
  14. So first... it was the college educated, holier-than-thou liberal elites cramming their out-of-touch ideology down blue-collar Common Joe's throat. But now... it's people with only a high school diploma or just starting college that don't know jack who are cause for concern. ... Lol
  15. Idk what to even say to this lol.
  16. What is it with corner injuries and this team?
  17. Tre knows it's not good...
  18. Obviously woulda liked a TD, but 3 on that drive is fine.
  19. A run for 1 or 2 yards is not a bad result in the current situation. Grind it out and wear them down.
  20. Wow. Fumble recovery for sure.
  21. Amazing. GO BILLS!
  22. Jones providing some intense interior pressure. Love to see it.
  23. There's some bad blood on the field. Things are getting hot.
  24. LOL I loved how Torrence went to go save Cook by hugging him, then pushed the defender away 😄
