  1. I agree with all of this, it was the redzone calls and going for it so often on fourth downs and failing. so on. 500 yards you better have 33 points on the board or better. It was a lacks of execution with players and OC. Just how I felt about that, at the time. cheers
  2. Yes and How well he played against Hill in the second Miami game.
  3. You know how many times HE along with others on that team talked about how things were within that era of football? You think he or those team mates would want us to forget? That is the last think they would want. I do not want to get to deep into the topic cause as much as I feel it is always time to raise awareness? This is not the place. I truly get what your saying, I really do. BUT. History should never be forgotten about. they would want us to learn from mistakes from others. it is what it is.
  4. LOL Thanks Beast. At first I thought you were talking about me to me directly and had to read it 3 times. WHERES MY COFFEE I NEED MY COFFEE! yes... this is the exact kind of stuff I have been referring to and TY SIR for noticing.
  5. I think Dorsey made plenty of mistakes.. but he did not exactly have talent at WR positions or enough of.. and that line was a mess so yea in part i agree. Look.. When that season ended... many of us(including me) really wanted Dorsey gone. If our New Lineman are as good as advertised and same with Kincaid? I agree with the premise that there should be no excuses for Dorsey this season. I personally had/have very mixed feelings on Dorsey. All we can do is hope. I also hear yards and wins thrown out there a ton, connected to Dorsey... It was not that we were doing it... it was how we were doing it. but Again, I agree with most of what you said Cheers
  6. i agree with everything you just said... but the redzone offense play call was horrible.. about 500 yards and only 4 scores . that is what i was referring to
  7. Hold on Now. Josh Allen hurt his elbow Nov. 6 game to the Jets. It was the Miami Game earlier that season, We lost to Miami do to some interesting play calling when Ken Dorsey threw a fit and tossed his clipboard. There were play call issues going on with Dorsey well before the elbow injury
  8. Spot on Video on this exact same thing https://www.nfl.com/videos/a-football-life-how-jim-brown-dealt-with-racial-discrimination-63446
  9. Buy one title get one free? lol
  10. so I agree with everything you said until this bolded. This post is very well said and put by the way Bates is a very hot and cold player. In 2019 PFF gave him is only real good number, 76 in run blocking. In 2020 his best year, he had a 94 pass block and a 72 run block. In 21 all his numbers dropped Pass went down to 64.3 and his run went down to 61.2. In 2022, many were expecting him to bounce back to his prior year but he did not. in 2022 his pass block went down to a 61.5 and run block to 59. This shows a steady regression... I do not know if its his lack of commitment to the game (? If that is even a issue?) or what it is. It is possible that he pops back to form, but I find it hard to be probable. Just my thoughts on bates. good post though
  11. PFF grades do not lie. he was terrible. Overall 43.7 Pass Block 51 Run Block 43.1 Not to mention 10 penalties called against him. In that Cinci game? Overall 42.1 Pass Block 57.1 Run Block 18.1 The dude never had his heart in the game this year and it showed.
  12. uh no.. but thanks for coming
  13. of course not. I am making assumptions based on others that have had the same or worse injuries. i get your point.
  14. Just the whole tradeoff itself. Like one noted. its life. and it just stinks. buuuut it is what it is
  15. heh 2 months ago? even better yet. I get ya about the playoffs but we have some tough games this year and we need him in some of them
  16. and an opinion like this i can come to respect. ty. good read.
  17. hard to swallow a week one loss against the Jets but 100% respect this post and your thoughts behind it.
  18. Listen ok? I already stated that Tre's injury was much worse. Put this in perspective... 4 months before Tre' played his first game back with buffalo... he would NOT of been able to play golf.. Period... Now fast forward to Von, and he does not have it as bad as Tre' did.. And he able to do more things 4 months out before the first game of the season then Tre did... That was my point of comparing progression.. You took this whole thing way to serious man... I was just talking to talk of MY PERSONAL opinion of where I seem to think Von is at.. I could be wrong... I could be right.. Again No one knows when Von will 100% be sure to play.. Relax man.. Jesus...
  19. I think you are speaking of specifics when i am speaking of generalizations. White would not of been able to play armature golf 4 months before he came back to his first game. Of course I do not know specifics. No one does but him and his DR. Everything I am saying I am guestimating. has anything I have said been posted as fact? Come on man.. lighten up..
  20. and by the way.. just to give an example, Tre White was never able to do the things Von did with the same time line. This is why I expect 4 months of good strong rehab to be more than enough to be ready by week 1-3 instead of week 4-6
  21. you know, I have to come back to your reply of being serious now on the conversation of the bolded. You talk about Modern stats need to be taken with a grain of salt and to an extent. If you want to bring one specific player back.. you need to bring back the same team back as well. So lets bring as I gave an example of Montana right? You are bringing back that same line, same WR's and same RB. I would argue that, THAT 49 team would not have a chance in hell against a team of today. Excuse the expression but they "Build" them bigger, faster, more agile and way stronger than they did in that era. Please do not single out specific players as an example of this but as a whole. Defenses are way faster as a whole then they were back then. Defensive Schemes are more technical then most back then. Bring a Montana team against a Current Buffalo Team or a Current Eagles, Cinci or KC team And I am here to say they would not have a chance in heck against them. IF it takes THIS long to break some of these records, then it took this long for good reason. In short, In general I agree with your point... but bring back the team that stood with those QB's you named and how you think they do against a good team of today? I stand by it saying they would not have a chance in heck.
  22. not sure how this has any bearing on what I said but yea I get it. sometimes surgery is not the right decision in one's life
  23. I think the whole point of this "Who does Pegula turn to?" conversation is not wondering questions about record. I think we know with this HC, we should be in the playoffs about every year. We come to expect it now.. I think the question is. Does this head coach and this GM good enough to get us over the hump to make it to a SB game or 2 or 3 in the next 7 years? I think that is the point of conversation is how is our Staff doing against the best teams in the NFL? When it counts?
  24. OH i agree. I never said he should be ready this week. but if he is up and able to do things like this now? 4 months from now I would think the dude should be good to go. IF he is 100% yes. and do I think he should be 100% by week 1 based on his progression thus far? yes!
