Do you guys feel right about FA/Draft and the "Process" ?
PrimeTime101 replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am with you, and to be honest? I am tired of people trying to tell me "I can't have this opinion" I think it is spot on everything you said here. Thanks for replying. I think at the end of the year last year, everyone asked themselves... if we had a top 15 line would things be different? My answer to that is yes. And I think we are close to top 15 line. It will be a fun year.. we were so close last year, and I think emotions/injuries popped us out. We stay healthy, we right back to the champ game. -

everything on Dorsey now. To guess on numbers or anything of the sort, you have to assume dorsey will turn it around -

Ricky Williams... RB.. NO. Saints. He has a pretty damn good career till his off field actions got crazy. Solid RB and a character to boot. Many Laughed at Ditka for reaching for him but no one was laughing as Ricky Williams ran over 6000 yards his first 5 seasons. -

I think Browns injury has held him back... I think not having even close to an acceptable Guard next to Brown has held him back.. and yes that does matter. I have a gut feeling Brown will look much better this year. WR2 ? Hope... That is all I have... Hope... that he gets his drop issues solved and that he starts running more crisper routs. MLB? Who the heck knows! By Committee and Milano takes over the play calling? seems likely. Rest of the defense, I think we will be ok over time... Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey DoDorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey rsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey Dorsey I think that is the only question for me... Does he have enough help to "Figure it out" the rest!? To the wind~ -
And what kills me is, Kincaid can still line up on the other side of the line now and then, Help Dawkins by giving the DE a little shove on the end, then continue on the rout he planned for. Most of the time will he be in slot? yes! but there are those defenses that have 2 amazing DE's and that line needs help. Just another way to help just another way to use what I feel Could/May be an elite receiving TE.

For the first Sentence, I did this thread because I wanted to show optimism in how many would pick the top 2 choices over the bottom 2. I will be Egar to see how it pans out when we have 150 or so votes. Last 2 seasons we abused the OL not upgrading it enough, and I think McD/Bean wanted to put that to rest, no matter how much we put into that OL.. I for one am glade our first 2 rounds were offense. I think Harty is depth at best- I agree WR is a question mark, but what we just did was give JA another second to let a guy that does not open up fast enough open up and I think Kincaid will help as well in that aspect. Well.. Well... Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelllllllllll Written sir thanks for the reply -

If all you think is buffalo just "Shuffled the deck" ? that's crazy man. We likely have a day 1 starter that locks up LG/RG and enough competition to fix the other guard position... Our guards were at times HORRIBLE... HUGE upgrades at guard. we got a big body TE/Slot man with significant ceiling and you think all we did was reshuffle decks like NE did? wow -

as always well said Gunner. -
I can't put my money on Davis another year.. Year after year of ankle injures. he turned into sammy watkins jr. People that say a rookie won't get the #2 in targets i think its tough.. Lets put it this way... I think what Kincaid and Davis gets, as the year goes it gets closer and closer. I think Kincaid targets will only slightly be higher so I choose Kincaid. People need to stop living in the past with Knox not getting targets. Knox was not getting open enough and had drop issues early on.. A QB loses faith after a while. Just because throws to knox were not often enough, does not mean they were not called.

Knox got the knox treatment for good reason. Was not getting open, dropping balls... and I think Josh lost a little faith in him even though he had 1 fantastic one handed catch that one game. I think it is not just the player that is coming but the combination of the 2 that can do a ton of damage cheers. -

Let's just skip the specifics and look at the picture as a whole. Ignore the names and stats but instead lets clue on what we did this offseason and draft. The offensive line and WR team was a huge weakness this offseason. So we signed some FA's at the guard position and at the very least created a ton of competition at both guard positions. We added a TE that can play slot as well and gave Josh Allen a target. At the HB position we lost our starter, but we have a rookie from last year with a bright future, likely a starter and created a ton of backup competition. The Defensive Line, many thought we would pick up a big DI or any DI that had some talent. Our Biggest Loss was ILB. Many of us wish we had that good ILB.. But what we have is a name coming back and more competition at the position. For me we still have a hole at ILB, but are we not a much better team post FA/Draft? I see a ton of negativity on these boards and I will not even call them haters. we all have the right to opinions and sometimes we get frustrated but I still ask.. Did we not get way better? Thus the pole. I am trying to keep this topic general non specific and look at the big picture.. so.. what say you? I will be interested in Poll results, and TY for the read.

it does get old. Thanks for understanding my view. and YES to bolded. I guess I am just so tired of the hate that goes on, on these boards. Maybe you just ended out being the fall out on it for me.. for that I apologize but at the end? I am glad we can talk about it like 2 sensible people. -

NA, what you ae doing is trying to force your opinion on everyone else. Not upset. stating facts. You took this way further than NewEra. I have a ton of respect for him. HE gives his opinions without having to force it onto others. I have the right to my opinion. you to yours. But don't tell me how I should "feel" -

here is the big banger.. Ready for this? Each individual can have what ever expectation they want out of a player, agree or not.. What drives me nuts is people telling other people what they MUST expect and not expect... I find that hysterical. I think the Kid could cap off his year at 600 yards based on what we have and the variety of ways we can use him. No one is going to ask him to run block. every run down. But lining up on the LOS and chipping a de then running for a rout? That is a typically normal habit of even a receiving TE. You think he will only get 300 yards? that is your opinion but don't tell me what my opinion can or can not be. Just because the GM says "they both will work well together" does not mean he can not line up on the other side of the LOS, Chip and receive a ball against good DL teams. -

This is some kind of garbage right here.. Did you look at how good their offenses are? Stupid to waste a first and a fourth on this position? Do you not watch the highlights? Do you not watch what the NFL world is saying about this kid? Keep coming to your own dumb conclusions.... Who cares what he said about Ed Oliver... not every player pans out to an elite player. What Beane says about a player like Oliver is what everyone else was saying.. No one has a crystal ball and knows ahead of time how a player would be when they hit the NFL field. That being said, I am done with the cry baby nay sayers that are so negative about everything. It gets old. Its peoples job to build hope for players when they feel that way... how many times have you been wrong about a player? What a downer. You must be a "ball" at parties... -
