  1. Having released Smart earlier -Bills likely now going with Jefferson, Butler, Oliver and Phillips (expect Zimmer to be waived). Decent position group but not over the top scary. Hope Smart makes it to PS. Need another big dog in there (Dareus anyone?). Beane might go "cut shopping" for a DT.
  2. JA will probably come in at 4 yrs 140 mill next offseason

  4. I missed that you are actually conveying that the organization is in two minds about Murphy. That was useful. My bad.
  5. The Jets defense is actually pretty good. I doubt we will score 40 points. I expect a 24-17 Bills score with a defensive touchdown or two. Strategy: Normally, we excel with a disciplined team based zone coverage scheme on defense and an offensive scheme based on separation, which will work against most teams. But against the Jets, we have the more skilled players - our WRs are better than their CBs and our CBs, if healthy, are better than their WRs. So I might try to give Diggs & co and White & co some contested one-on-one opportunities by clearing their part of the field. Also Greggo's defense will blitz a lot - that should lead to more Alllen scrambles as well as more one-on-opportunities.
  6. I dont understand this Nate Peterman hate. He throws very catchable balls. The only problem is he is color blind - he cant distinguish between teams' jerseys.
  7. Dammit no news yet. Maybe this Yolobot is too efficient.😀 We have three pages of posts but after scrolling through, I realize there is no info on cuts yet. Or did I miss something?
  8. 1. Glad he is going to an NFC team 2. And he is going to my second favorite team in the league 3. 10 mill is a bargain 4. a bit surprised since rumor was he wanted to go to a 3-4 defense
  9. There is nothing stopping a number 86 from being a FB on the field, After all, D-linemen have done so many many times.
  10. so long as they dont win against us, I wish him all teh best. I may be in a minority here, but feel he did right by the Bills - won a 3-way QB battle, coulda led em to the playoffs but for being injured in that London Manuel game, took a paycut to work something out etc. Yes he was not a gunslinger who could bring a team back - but nobody is perfect. While I am more than happy with JA, Tuhrod can be a positive addition to the right team.
  11. i wouldnt mind Beane kicking the tires on Dareus with a min deal.
  12. Brady's swansong - offense was struggling needed to do something since the team record was excellent and they had postseason aspirations. It was somewhat similar to the Kelvin Benjamin trade we did. We gave up a 3rd, they gave up a 2nd.
  13. All said and done, re-watching the Pats tape, JC Jackson may actually have been a more impressive CB than Gilmore. Hate to say that.
  14. Thanks, That was the point of the original post - and I wrote it badly.
  15. not really. Antonio Williams is there for ST. Any Fournette interest cannot be for ST.
  16. So the two teams to call would have been at the bottom of my list - Pats have White and Michel and their rookie Harris had a stellar camp (like our Gabe Davis). Bills have Singletary and Moss. Pats also apparently also called the Saints on Kamara. Strange. That said, I can see it working for the Bills - Fournette is a power back who can get you the tough 3 yards while also being shifty and elusive to hit home runs (hat is why he went #4). I am not sure about all this locker room revolt against him though.
  17. I am dreaming about the ‘IF not” part Also McCaffrey and Cam didn’t win much did they?
  18. oh please please do trade him to the Pats for a #1 next year - would be so nice to have a few more years contemplating Stidham under center for them.
  19. aha! I suggested including Beasley in a Diggs trade a while ago and got flamed for it (didn’t want to part with a first rounder even though I have been in love with Diggs as the perfect JA complement well before the trade actually happened). Of course I also got flamed by people not wanting Diggs at all - but that is a different story. https://www.twobillsdrive.com/community/topic/223332-what-would-you-think-of-stefon-diggs-and-xavier-rhodes-for-cole-beasley-taron-johnson-and-a-4th-rounder/ Beasley is valuable from a trade point of view since his production far outweighs what is left on his contract (post signing bonuses). I think GB and SF would easily part with their second rounders. The key is how well Beasley and the others have done in TC. If the brass believes Davis and Duke can replace him, this is a good idea. While there has been very little Beasley news most of TC, I did hear one of the CBs say in their interview that Cole was pretty much unguardable. If so, let us keep our best four out there (and that clearly includes Beas).
  20. lol no. that was just evidence corroborating the sorry state of those teams WRs. My post was solely "inspired" by how good I feel about our WR core and how sad I would be if any of them ended up on the Jets. apologies for the "clutter". Ye of little faith. tsk tsk tsk.
  21. With all due respect, what part of my post implies that Beane needs our advice with this strategy? But not many teams have WR #7-9 quality that we have. The quality of our "cut" WRs will be higher than most teams. the injury position for the Jets and 49ers is such that they may not even be able to see their WRs perform in games. their message boards are filled with discussing WR cut prospects on other teams.
  22. We have the entire slate of WRs returning from 2019 and added three more bodies to that group - Diggs, Davis and Hodgins. Clearly we cant carry 9 WRs on the roster - so have to leave 2-3 WRs unprotected - either through cuts or on PS. The Jets' WR slate is worse than the Bills circa 2018 (with Jones and Foster). Mims, Perriman, Berrios, Hogan and Crowder are all questionable with varying degrees of injuries. I am almost positive that the WR(s) cut by us is (are) going to be gobbled up by the Jets. Now Packers and 49ers also need WRs in the worst way possible. But Jets will have waiver claim priority on those teams. That is why I am hoping the Bills trade them to the NFC (Packers / 49ers) netting conditional 7th rounders if necessary. Why leave these nice WRs for our division foes? Of course there is also the danger of our PS guys being signed outright by the Jets - but that is a risk we have to live with.
  23. Yes he did not do well in 2019 - but most observers appear to attribute it to not having Big Ben throwing to him rather than the absence of AB.
  24. Injuries noptwithstanding, I still expect Greggo's defense to be good. It is their offense we should take advantage of. I am expecting sacks / turnovers / defensive scores for us.
