  1. They did sign Shaq Lawson who last year singlehandedly lifted the Bills defense to a #1 ranking and took the Bills to the playoffs.
  2. My bad. All we have is Ryan Talbot's tweet saying someone wanted Tanzel Smart, which may or may not be the Packers.
  3. Do we have info on this? All we know is he did not make the Bills 53 and Packers claimed him. Bills may have wanted him on the PS - but Packers claiming him made that moot, no?
  4. Nice article. I am a lil more optimistic on Feliciano's outlook for the season: https://thebuffalofanatics.com/2020/08/20/bills-injury-report-jon-felicianos-chest-injury-and-when-he-will-be-ready-to-play/ But that does not detract from anything you wrote.
  5. thanks. that is a bummer. years ago i wanted to draft him and was so happy bills got him this offseason. he would have been great insurance on the PS.
  6. never let a second rooster into the henhouse. don’t wanna confuse the hens 😀
  7. Williams for Winters and Addison for Murphy. other than that this list is good with me. small chance Kroft may be in for Gilliam as well.
  8. We all know the numbers now -cutting coulda saved the Bills 8.025 mill cash and cap room and many of us felt it was a no-brainer that he would be cut or salary restructured - when Ngakoue gets 12 mill, there is no way Murphy gets 8 mill was the thinking. Actually, I just realized keeping Murphy on the roster was not an 8 mill decision. His roster bonus is only 1 million. So keeping him on the roster may only cost the Bills 1 mill for now. I don’t know when the balance guarantees. Any clarifications appreciated. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/trent-murphy-14456/
  9. now expect Milano to come in at 4 yrs 50 mill
  10. smart play by Tre. Cap will go up. He would have made generation changing money with this contract but can still take advantage of rising cap on his next deal. Not too bad for the Bills too - 6 years is a long time - anything can happen - so 4vyrs better for the Bills than 5 years. overall it is a win win
  11. nicely done Beane. and nicely done Tre. Tre gave up about 10 mill over 4 years to have certainty and avoid a Clowney / Ngakoue type situation.
  12. OK thanks missed that. Was a surprise. But there is a small risk to that strategy - another team can swoop in and offer a bit more and steal him away.
  13. https://www.wivb.com/sports/bills-2020-roster-released/ With Andre McXavier Roberts not finding his name on the 53 man roster, who will be our return man? McKenzie, Jones, Hyde or maybe even Singletary are the 4 candidates. I cannot think of anyone else. Strangely enough, I feel that quartet is more than capable.
  14. He did make the Illini All-Decade team as a backup https://www.thechampaignroom.com/2019/12/23/21034643/illinois-fighting-illini-football-all-decade-defense-special-teams-ncaa-big-ten-whitney-mercilus some good names there (and some with Bills connection too - Mclaughlin, Liuget, Spence)
  15. you are not alone there my friend - surprised he kinda flew under the radar all this while. among the very very few NFL players on an active roster without a wikipedia page (maybe the only one)
  16. Didnt he stash Vedvik and Phillips on the Panthers roster?
  17. This and the Cam Lewis release speak to the good health of a Norman and a Wallace methinks.
  18. I would like some helpings of that in a Bills uniform please
  19. They badly want Trevor Lawrence to cross the border and come north next season but all the smart moves made by Marrone are pissing them off.
  20. And two different teams just punted on him:)
  21. Given the Bills' cap situation it is not. It is what he can command on the market - and every bit saved gives future flexibility when we extend White, Milano, Allen, Edmunds etc.
  22. waiting for Murphy news - has to be a salary restructure or a cut, no? Ther is no way we are paying him an extra 8 mill this year.
  23. Cam Phillips and Vedvik were the two names I also recognized
  24. He is a 6' 2" 230 lbs 2019 UDFA from the University of Illinois He is probably the closest comparison to Lorenzo Alexander. Ran a 4.5 on hi s pro day (here is an interview with him) https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/video/pro-day-illini-lb-delshawn-phillips/ He has a nose for the ball (like Milano) - had 4 interceptions for the Illini and recovered 2 fumbles in 5 Atlanta preseason games in 2019. Bills signed him when Atlanta cut him and he has hung around and repaid the BIlls faith by putting in the work and making the 53. Real feel good story of the Bills 2020 TC. His Illini page https://fightingillini.com/sports/football/roster/del-shawn-phillips/8001
  25. now that is the first real surprise of the afternoon. He is a super solid linebacker from the fighting illini who was an UDFA last year. Bills coaches liked him enough to keep him around and looks like he put in the work. Real feel good story of the camp that noone is talking about
