We all know the numbers now -cutting coulda saved the Bills 8.025 mill cash and cap room and many of us felt it was a no-brainer that he would be cut or salary restructured - when Ngakoue gets 12 mill, there is no way Murphy gets 8 mill was the thinking. Actually, I just realized keeping Murphy on the roster was not an 8 mill decision. His roster bonus is only 1 million. So keeping him on the roster may only cost the Bills 1 mill for now. smart play by Tre. Cap will go up. He would have made generation changing money with this contract but can still take advantage of rising cap on his next deal. Not too bad for the Bills too - 6 years is a long time - anything can happen - so 4vyrs better for the Bills than 5 years. overall it is a win win
