That’s the problem. We are drafting these guys early expecting them to make and impact but they can’t because the coaching staff sticks with the veteran who is struggling to do the job himself. They are getting better over time because they are slowly getting more time one the field. Get them more time on the field early and you’ll see faster return in their development.
It’s been every position not just DBs. Dline, RBs and WRs. RB is the easiest position in the league to go from college to NFL, except in Buffalo.
If it’s close you go with the guy who’s gonna give you more in the long run.
Have you been living under a rock? All our young rookies hardly see the field, it’s not because the other players are better it’s because McDermott values experience over talent. Not a team in the league gets less out of their rookies than Buffalo.
Peteman over Allen
Old man Gore getting more carries than Singletary.
Sanders over Gabe for most of last season
Lil Dirty still starting at slot over Shakir
Jackson getting beat on a regular basis while Elam sits on the bench.
Moss over Cook early in the season
Not really, this coaching staff has chosen experience over talent time and time again. They are more worried about not making mistakes than making plays.
So when Elam comes on the field it’s basically telling teams we are playing more man. Great! Reminds me of when Zach Moss came on the field everyone knew we were running up the middle. Bills shouldn’t have babied Elam all year and had him out there day 1. At this point in the season our physically most gifted DB hardly sees the field and he should be making an impact. That’s the Bills way though, baby early round picks
Just play out the week and then decide with a coin toss like Friday Night Lights. Just so many scenarios depending on outcomes of week 18.
Bills players probably don’t care too much about seeding at this point. Probably rather be amongst themselves and skip week 18 and then start in wild card weekend
I get why Hurts is in the running but he should not be at the top with what he has surrounding him. Cupcake schedule too, so you can’t just say he has the best record. If the league wants a true MVP voters gotta take that ***** in to account when making their decision.
There ain’t many options. The guys they put faith in have let them down. Smart move going after 2 guys Josh has trust and familiarity with. Plus they should have a good grasp for offense already.
We lost 80 plus catches from him, our 2 and 3 combined have not surpassed 80 after 13 games. Hard to believe Beas couldn’t help us, even if he’s slowing down. Still smarter and knows how to find the soft spot in the D.
Ups and downs of a season. Rather struggle now and get it fixed for January. Allen and Diggs can’t do it all themselves so we’re basically waiting for some guys to step up
