  1. i get that the dudes initial post wasnt supposed to be incendiary but comparing one season of losing your qb after you've had 20 years of favre and rodgers and saying its remotely like what bills fans have gone through is just really dumb. i get there was no offense intended but its just really stupid to try and even compare the 2 situations or even try and pretend that he has any idea what its been like being a fan of the bills.
  2. lololololol this reads "I acknowledge our wr's are garbage. but i'm so bullheaded that I don't seem to understand that it matters and this is still all tyrods fault" oh man. I literally LOL'd when I read this. its a classic.
  3. you stated "it could be" acceptable if taylor had any anticipation.... whether taylor is playing well or not the lack of talent outside right now is never acceptable. hands down. and to act like it doesn't play a role in his shortcomings over the last 2 years is completely laughable. people have posted his numbers with his starting wr's as opposed to with the backups. its night and day. and the only argument that's put up when these FACTS AND HARD NUMBERS are posted is "but but but, I saw people open. so that must mean it doesn't make a difference who's out there"...... its nauseating. and again. we need better at qb in the future. i'm not arguing that point. heck.... I'm actually really interested to see what Peterman can do but I personally think if he were thrust into action right now it may be career suicide to a rookie, given the "weapons" we have at the moment.
  4. i literally LOL'd at this. the fact that you think its remotely acceptable is hilarious and speaks volumes about why these "debates" on tyrod are so pointless. minds have obviously already been made up and theres NOTHING that can be said to change views.... when somebody can look at this trash heap of wr's and say its acceptable all I can do is chuckle. that's just absurd. FTR, i'm totally on board with finding a better option at qb. I don't think anything has changed with tyrod. I think he's an average qb with occasional game changing potential. I think the defense finally stepping up has shown how underrated his efficiency and lack of turnovers can be.... but to not acknowledge certain things like the talent in the wr corp that has routinely evaded the team over the last 2 years via injury or lack of caring by the FO is just silly. there are all of about 3 qb's that could carry this scrap heap at wr and TE to wins. people need to get a freaking clue.
  5. of course.... when the stats clearly say he's been solid when he has his starters out there and doesn't support the "BUT I SWEAR I SAW THE 4TH STRINGERS WIDE OPEN ALL GAME" argument..... then the stats must clearly lie. ..... "SMH" he wont.... he's just swear up and down he's seen the 3rd, 4th, and 5th stringers wide open all game every game and claim that routinely missing your first and 2nd options in the passing game for extended periods of time during a season shouldn't matter........ becuz eye ball test
  6. i think this speaks volumes about the people calling for Peterman and how much they apparently don't know..... throwing him out there with this cast of wr's would most likely be career suicide. if they have high hopes for the kid the one thing you DONT DO is toss him out there with what the team is working with at the moment.
  7. how anyone can see that lineup and then proceed to crucify taylor, I have no idea.... I honestly don't know if I can remember a worse cast of "weapons" in the drought. its impressively bad. I can only chuckle becuz at one point last year I think I remember saying close to the same thing. LOLOL.
  8. What a great scenario though.... win some games. get a taste of post season and STILL have the ammo to go get a top talent in the draft.
  9. becuz our run game has been such a threat this year right? meanwhile there's no mention of what looks like a bottom 5 wr corp in this post. that's conveniently left out in these sort of posts there are all of about 3 freaking qb's that could take a team on its back if the defense and run game let down and they were stuck with these "weapons" to throw to.... its hilarious to me how much this gets glossed over by anyone saying he needs to be able to prop a team up on his back. now that he finally has a defense around him we see exactly how UNDERVALUED taylors ability to take care of the football was. I personally don't think much has changed with taylor other than the fact that he seems slightly more patient and we finally get to see how beneficial and VALUABLE his ball protection and efficient play(that's been around for 3 seasons now) can be with a consistent defense.
  10. the steelers have played absolutely NOBODY and that trend continues this week. 0-4 browns, 2-2 vikings, 1-3 bears, 2-2 ravens and then the 2-2 jags this coming week. meanwhile we've only played one friggin team thats less than 3-1 and even the jets are 2-2. this one hits home with me becuz I live on the outskirts of "stiller" country just south of erie, pa, and just like every other year every single fan walks about yapping about the "stairway to seven" and how they HAVE to be the favorites this year. blah blah blah blah blah. BARF.
  11. lol. I just saw that and chuckled. just beat the 3-0 falcons and didn't move a lick.... all I could do was laugh and shake my head.
  12. living in steeler country I distinctly remember the talk, until about year 5 or 6, of how bad big bens record was when he had to throw the ball more than 30 times a game. it was staggeringly bad. they won a superbowl with him during that span. now big ben finally developed into an amazing qb that could basically win anyway he pleased at one point and I doubt taylor does that. but we still may see some development from him. obviously not to that degree. my main point here is..... while it would be nice to have a gun slinger that can put a team on his back, it doesn't mean a certain qb isn't a solid option just becuz he doesn't make a living doing that.
  13. an asset that has been completely underrated the previous 2 season becuz of how inept the defense was. I personally don't think much has changed with taylor and think the qb search will, and probably should, continue. but the guy has won more than he's lost and its silly how many people downgrade his ability to play efficient football and PROTECT THE FOOTBALL. such an underrated part of his game and now finally with a defense that can hold its own we see how valuable it can be.
  14. while the people that rely on them too much sometimes look foolish. is just as ignorant, just on the other side of the spectrum.
  15. a lumbering slot wr on one side and the rookie with a case of the drops on the other..... is there any doubt its a bottom 5 wr unit?
  16. while it may get brought up, Kirby is 100% right. I personally find myself quite frustrated with taylor becuz of his inconsistencies throwing the football but one thing is for sure. the anti-tyrod establishment hold absolutely no value in the fact that he just simply DOES NOT turn the ball over. now that the bills finally have a defense its very apparent how big of an asset that can be. VERY UNDERVALUED. totally agree, mr. Jackson.
  17. sorry. voice inflexion is hard on a forum. and you're right its sad that I can take it seriously becuz of some of the crazy that comes outta here.
  18. was he responsible for taylor plopping 2 long passes right into his hands? clay had a GREAT day. taylor delivered him the ball. FTR I didn't like taylors game as a whole but your reasoning is beyond stupid.
  19. this cant be serious.... its got to be sarcasm, as taylor was obviously the one dropping them in smoothly to clay. right?.... he's got to be kidding around
  20. well the Tolbert one is a none issue becuz on the next play it was a td pass. and on the play the jones one is a none issue becuz it was caught anyways.
  21. I agree. I mean...... can anyone think of a wr corp worse than this one at the moment? a lumbering slot wr on one side and rookie with what looks to be a case of the dropsies on the other. YUCK.
  22. the problem is he has to maintain control throughout that movement and the turn up the field even if he was crossing the goal line... he didn't.
