  1. this isn't rocket science. in a league with parity the odds go down each week that a team can keep a streak going. its not a hard concept. the longer a streak goes the worse the odds get becuz there's just not a great probability of a team keeping up such a streak in a league like the nfl.... so ya. there is a little something behind that. but whatever. argue for the sake of it if you feel like it.
  2. grazianos take is kinda where i'm at. i'm not really all that optimistic going into sunday but I like the odds of an nfl team not being able to win 7 in a row. i'll play the odds here.
  3. right.... I think this got easier for me once I got a family and my wife wouldn't tolerate my moods. lol..... I did find myself pouting and wandering aimlessly around the house a bit on sunday. but that's just a crappy scenario... Thursday night beatdown. only game for media to cover next day. then no team to watch on sunday. but unlike some around here i'm gonna choose to judge them on 8 games as a whole and not the most recent debacle. thank god that's all in the rear view! the way I see it... before the season if somebody would have come to me and said "your bills will be 5-3 at the mid way point" I would've taken that all day everyday after the turbulent offseason we had. so that's where I sit. enjoying a good start and cautiously optimistic for the rest of the season.
  4. What I don't get is the people actively getting in their own ways about actually enjoying the season. we may meltdown. its happened in the past. it sucks. but for me its all the more reason to enjoy a hot start and milk the season for everything I can get out of it. be entertained while they are still in the hunt. like why do people bother watching if they have their minds made up they aren't gonna enjoy it or be "sold" on it until week 16. what a miserable way to watch a season.
  5. the concern LOOMS LARGE...... according to the way the NEXT GEN STATS ARE TRENDING.
  6. modern day jeff George..... and both consistently held a job becuz of the "what ifs" related to the bazooka hanging off their right shoulder.
  7. he claimed in a post yesterday that he thinks they'll have a playoff spot locked up by our 2nd matchup with them and he's "concerned" we wont even be able to beat their backups. no joke.... he actually said that.
  8. he's really good and really quick.... on pace for 74 catches, 10 td and 1200 scrimmage yds out of the backfield.
  9. is anyone else already having nightmares of seeing brown running with that super odd and choppy stride of his trailing 5 yds behind alvin kamara while being horribly out of position everytime kamara releases out of the backfield on every third down this week?
  10. the fins starters are 4-4 and he's talking about not being able to beat the backups....... O. M. G.
  11. I know you've proclaimed that you are rarely wrong but yet again this is nonsense. even after last weeks debacle our defense is still tied for 7th in yards allowed per carry. that's a stat that has nothing to do with how OFTEN a team is rushing on us and much more to do with the fact that they just don't have success when they try to.... so its hardly just becuz we have a poor pass d. I would argue teams have passed so much against us becuz they havnt found success on the ground. its that "next gen" enough? you beat me to it.... I just cited the same stat. guess I shoulda browsed down the page a bit before I posted but saviors nonsense never stops. so I jumped on it.
  12. we only play 2 teams under .500 the rest of the way out at this point. so i'm gonna respectfully disagree with them. go look at a team like the jags schedule and tell me it isn't cake compared to the bills.
  13. I'm fairly certain the saints have rushed for 150+ in their last four games. the success of their ground game is a major part of their resurgence. not saying we cant stop it but they are absolutely built for it.
  14. in the last 2 weeks you've talked about how there is no way we beat the raiders..... in fact you said it would be a blowout. and you've gushed about how good the fins looked WHILE they've lost 2 straight..... you've been very very very wrong on some things my man. you talk in absolutes and it just makes you look so comical. its the NFL man. week to week can be so different. do understand how ridiculous it is to say our season will end in shambles based one blowout loss, but then say the fins are still in good shape and will make the playoffs after a 40-0 loss to a ravens team with a losing record and then another loss to a 4-5 raiders team that we blew out? do you get how absurd that is? no..... you obviously don't or you wouldn't spew such crap onto a keyboard.
  15. dude you crack me up..... seriously. you lay down some gems. and I would think after some of the statements you've already made that have backfired in the past that you would understand how silly talking in absolutes makes somebody look.
  16. good lord..... so lets use one game to form an opinion other than a whole half seasons worth of work. how can anyone take this seriously? as for the jets? they are a competitive team that has held leads against numerous teams this year and just couldn't finish. you'll have to excuse me if i'm not gonna judge our team on just ONE game that was away to a division opponent in primetime. come on man. give me a break. and are those "next gen" stats still supporting the playoff team in Miami you've been gushing about for weeks now?
  17. the problem is we have only been rushing four and getting no pressure. I think if the other guys were getting home people woudnt be so unhappy but the lack of pressure has made his lack of pass rush ability a bit more of a liability. I think he'd be way better off and better appreciated in a scheme that didn't rely so heavily on just their front four for pressure.
  18. based off what?????? a Thursday night game? how do you come up with this trash?
  19. well now, isn't that a surprise! coming from the guy that said we had no shot during our last home game. and ftr. the home team usually always gets 3 pts at home which means the spread if it was in NO would probably be between 4.5 and 6.5.
  20. while I don't disagree I would argue that it IS CRAZY to keep trying to run the rest of the season with Tolbert as your backup if this is gonna be their approach.
  21. they'll be due for a loss.... I personally hope the saints win this week and carry it into buffalo. the odds of them keeping up a streak like that aren't great..... I'll play the odds
  22. i dont think i can remember a recent game where the O-line routinely collapsed that hard and fast backward and around tyrod. over and over and over again. within half second he would have a routine 5 man rush engulfing him with relative ease... the front was just completely man handled. ...... and could we please try a 5 or 6 man rush of our own. I think its pretty apparent after the last month that the front four isn't enough. its maddening to watch qb's sit there for 3 or 4 seconds on every 3rd down just waiting for somebody to get open. good read, shaw. as always. maybe its the fan in me but I think we need to look at the whole first half of the season as an indicator of how this team is made up and not just one game. and with that being said I still like our shot next week at home in front of a raucous crowd vs a very complete N.O. team... win that one and everything changes.... again.
  23. says so much about that poster that I already had come to know anyways..... jets run d has been awful all year and we couldn't run. jets had 11 sacks ALL FREAKING SEASON and the pocket routinely COLLAPSED around our qb. easily the worst performance I've seen from them in a long time. that was a bad jets defense that absolutely MAN HANDLED our guys up front. that being said. everyone sucked. just a complete implosion. but unlike most around here, the sky isn't falling for me. big game at home next week. a winnable one I think.
