Still confident in the 1 seed and that they figure it out. The wildly obnoxious fact that this team/staff seems to have mid-season lulls makes me less worried. Beyond sick of the handful of games per year where our defense is a joke given the obsessive investment into it. I don’t really care about the injuries. The DL was healthy. So was Edmunds and Taron Johnson. Figure it out. It’s a Zach ****ing Wilson led offense. Bills fans, en masse, complained about the teams approach to WR. Mouthpieces for the org assured us that we have “pass catchers” and other fairy dust nonsense. Nope. We all knew what we knew … Bills didn’t do enough at WR. And here we are. Hoping for OBJ or that Gabe Davis suddenly learns how to play reliable WR2 football. Bills FO is fantastic. We’re 6-2 and in control of our destiny for the 1 seed. That said… this team looks soft, once again, in the middle of the season. Correcting the course against a good Vikings team would calm a lot of us down … a loss, and McD justifiably should start feeling a slight warmth under his seat. Just slight… No one should be there yet, but he’d be turning the stove on for alot of folks.

Dorsey is struggling right now with his game flow and play calling. Also, he could really benefit from a legitimate WR2. It’s beyond obvious that against good defenses, Davis and McKenzie are let downs. Nice complimentary pieces (Davis especially) but not focal points game in / game out. In a pass heavy offense, your #2 WR needs to be reliable. Would you rather have Kelce, MVS, Juju and Hardman or Diggs, Davis, McKenzie and Knox. It’s sad that even after losing Tyreek Hill, I’d take what KC has right now. We can dunk on teams without good secondary play. But guys who can cover?… Davis and McKenzie can’t do anything and Dorsey seems unable - so far - to scheme them open. A lot of TBD posters called out the FO for not addressing WR … and here we are. Sometimes posters are right. If OBJ doesn’t come here and be at least 75% of what he was … we need somebody to step up or this offense is, once again, reliant upon Josh Allen being the best player the NFL has ever seen in the playoffs.

Rolling the dice on a multi-year OBJ deal seems like a real need right now. I really like Beane and overall he’s great, but we’re halfway through the season now and it’s obvious that they did not do enough to address WR. And that’s without the foresight of seeing that McKenzie is not a full time slot and Davis is not a #2. All the talk of “pass catchers” and positionless players … No, get a #2 if you want to be one of the pass heaviest offenses in the NFL. Mahomes has Kelce… and then two solid vets who can get open in MVS and Juju. We have Diggs… and then reliable pass catchers in…. ::shrug::

Is our OL poor at pass blocking? We are SO predictable. We barely run. Ok, fine. But we also have no short passing game unless it involves a RB. Dorsey is running a Madden Offense right now. EVERYONE GO DEEP … That’s not a modern offense. Throwing a slant or in-route looks like a miracle with this offense.

Allen is a mess right now. Offensive flow is gross. No rhythm, no simple pass plays. For a pass heavy team, Gabe Davis and Isaiah McKenzie ain’t it. Gambled on them stepping up and neither has made the jump. This loss is squarely on Allen and the Offense. (Defense barely escapes the brunt of criticism)
