  1. I’d think all that matters for the NFL is meaningful games in Week 17 and Week 18… and they have a ton of them. It’s why, as Peter King pointed out, they schedule so many weak games for meh teams early in the year. It’s why perennially good teams play 1st place schedules and perennially bad teams play 4th place schedules. Keep as many markets in play for as long as possible.
  2. This. He was sold as a WR playing RB that is simply a pass catcher who can run to the outside. The guy is running off guard plenty and always seems to fall forward. He definitely can use an off-season of S&C, but he’s a lot better at playing actual RB than I thought he’d be as a rookie. Conversely, we’ve barely seen any of the pass catching role that was such a big piece of his college career. He has a ton of potential in this offense.
  3. Quick check of Fins fans, and they are furious over this trade now. They went all in on Tua and he’s turned into a pumpkin. The Chubb trade further decimated any ability they have to get a QB in the draft, and they can go after a FA QB, but they’re not exactly flush with cap space.
  4. It almost makes sense, if your Dorsey, to call plays with one read .. check down to the RB in the flat … until you back teams out of this type of defense. It’s clear we do have that play call, because there’s times Josh drops back and immediately checks down. They typically pick up 8-15 yards every time. Will be interesting to see how Cinci defends Josh. I’ve always thought he would torch the style they deploy against Mahomes, because unlike Mahomes, Allen with simply run through the light box and away from the spy on some designed stuff. Anyone see how Hendrickson played yesterday? Reader is really good at DT, Hubbard is decent but banged up, and Hendrickson is an above average pass rusher but playing through a broken wrist right now.
  5. No idea what happened on that first Bears drive, but the defense deserves props. Fields & that Rushing offense have been gashing teams, and they were throttled by us all game. On offense, Allen was all over the place, but as said above .. not worried about him - he’ll turn it up in the bigger moments - Also, watching some other games, passing offenses in the cold were disastrous all over the country.. errant passes, turnovers, drops etc.. Bears defense isn’t much to write home about, but to run to the level we did against any NFL team is impressive. That was absolute ground assault.
  6. Took a bit, but good to see them just put away a team.
  7. It’s so ridiculous that anyone blames Dorsey today. So. Ridiculous. The players are solely responsible for this being a close game. NOT the guy dialing up wide open receivers and huge run plays.
  8. Team just refuses to put teams away.
  9. Is there anything to Bass liking it from the hash, re: the wind … he’s already pushing it by design, and then the wind just takes it.
  10. James Cook looks absolutely incredible today.
  11. Allen better just be getting this out of his system, because WTF….
  12. Weren’t Chiefs fans complaining about the refs they were getting today? Meanwhile our refs making it rain with flags. Dane made a play!!
  13. Completely agree with McD going for 2 there. What about the two Bass kicks makes anyone think we want him kicking another today?
  14. Couldnt even celebrate .. was just staring at the screen waiting for it.
  15. Bears selling out against the intermediate to deep stuff. Betting we won’t stay disciplined to hit check downs and run. That’s all he’s had to do. Finally…
  16. Why do people keep saying “Bill Belichick Defense”?… their defense has gotten smoked by good QBs for multiple years now.
  17. I guess … guys not named Diggs are wide open all over the place. Allen was straight up awful in that first half.
  18. Oh, and we’re gutless too. That’s nice.
  19. Who cares .. other guys are wide open. Dorsey can’t throw it for Allen.
  20. Completely agree. Can’t criticize Dorsey for not running because our MVP candidate QB can’t make layup throws / good decisions today.
  21. How are the camera angles this bad for a CBS broadcast?
  22. Makes a difference. Especially the 14 mph vs 24 mph winds.
  23. Nah… Look at the weather in Foxboro. It’s ten degrees warmer and 14 mph wind compared to 24 mph winds in Chicago.
  24. Cook looks awesome today. Singletary, on grass, looks like cement shoes.
