  1. Im sorry, did they trade for a QB? That team is as talented as anyone, but their QB is Tua. Not Allen and not Mahomes.
  2. Previous years the hunted has been KC, and they never hesitate to make moves at the deadline.
  3. He’s due 11.5M next year and then is a FA. Even if we move off Von after the guaranteed money in Year 3, going to be difficult to pay Oliver, Rousseau and another premium pass rusher.
  4. NFL FA and now the trade deadline seem to be going the way of the NBA. Gone are the days of lots of smoke, no fire.
  5. We’ll see… I’m inclined to agree, but also have now witnessed almost every contending team make a move. KC seems to consistently add a piece around this time of year. Never really affects their ability to build around Mahomes.
  6. Irv Smith out 8-10 weeks for Minn.. makes some more sense with the Hockenson trade.
  7. And the ones who have good ones want to keep them to properly evaluate their QB situation.
  8. A day 2 pick for a RB rental would be absolutely gross
  9. Id agree Poyer is gone. We may offer him a short term deal, but we’ll see. Im also not sold on Oliver at the price we’d likely have to pay. Give me more big body DT’s unless he turns into Aaron Donald-lite, which he has not so far. (Injuries, I know I know..)
  10. With what cap space? Also, they let Hill walk to trade a boat load of picks for two WR’s at the deadline.. one of which is under contract for 20M next year?
  11. Green Bay is my guess, but the Vikings and Bears trading for weapons today wasn’t exactly on my bingo card.
  12. Not trying to win, simply trying to find out if they have a QB. Makes sense to me. With Mooney and Claypool, they should get an idea on if Fields is the future.
  13. I definitely agree that his value is in pass defense, elite potential there, but I just don’t think the drop off from Edmunds to Milano-clone Bernard or a draft pick is a game changer. The DL is the engine, and we have a loaded CB room, with one of the best LB’s in the NFL locked down. Mid-high teens per year may be what we’re willing to do, but I’d rather have two undersized speed/quickness LB’s behind a heavily invested in DL, than a freak in Edmunds occupying that much cap space.
  14. I feel like everything you just said reminds us why you can’t be paying two LB’s big time money when DL and Secondary are so much more important. Edmunds looks great when the DL is dominant. Edmunds has his worst game of the year when the DL struggles in run defense. Ok… Well, that is precisely why letting him walk after the season isn’t a massive blow to the defense.
  15. Having both Hunt and Singletary just doesn’t make a ton of sense to me. We’ve all seen what Singletary looks like as a lead back and rotational back. Im fine bringing in Hunt, but having two contract year RB’s who are both workhorse caliber guys on this team seems clumsy.
  16. You don’t make moves for the sake of making moves. That said, I’m sure the itch has to be getting to Beane. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a year where more contenders made moves prior to the deadline, and we still have three hours and a potential Chubb trade to go.
  17. Falcons don’t even use him.. might as well trade him.
  18. OBJ being a potential “silent verbal” would certainly make sense, while also causing alot of short term frustration for us ha..
  19. 2nd and 3rd, sent back Hockenson, a 4th and a conditional 4th Wtf..
  20. Ha.. Literally any of us could have tweeted this. It’s all known info over the past two weeks.
  21. I think it makes sense. We tried to bring in Howard. Didn’t work out. Clearly the idea of two legit TE’s has been in the heads of Dorsey/McDermott/Beane. Hockenson has a low salary this year and then is under contract for roughly 9.5M next year. We can find the money to fit him next year. It’s pretty easy to find where we pay Edmunds almost twice that and offer Poyer a short term deal. We could simply not bring back one of them and then Hockenson is either extended or comes off the books as we potentially look to extend Gabe.
  22. They would. Doesn’t mean it’s correct, but if the Chiefs managed to trade for Toney and Chubb, while we do nothing.. prepare yourself for the talking heads to say the Chiefs overtook us while we stood still (until/if we sign OBJ)
  23. I think they kicked the tires on the two elite playmakers who happen to be RB’s… McCaffrey and Kamara. Outside of Josh Jacobs, who’s more redundant with Singletary than a guy to pair with Singletary.. nobody else is that much an upgrade to be throwing 4th round picks around on rentals. James Cook showed alot on Sunday night. Still not sure about his pass pro ability, but he ran in-between the guards, outside tackle and made a big pass play. That’s a guy who defenses can’t just key in on as a pass catcher.
