  1. Its not that simple. To run the ball, you actually have to … run the ball. We don’t do that. We token hand off. There’s no way they run the same passing offense with Keenum. Likely more quick hitters and PA deep shots. The Offense is likely much different. Might still be a disaster, but it won’t be the same offense.
  2. Basically. Tommy John is trending on Twitter. Legit reporters indicated there are concerns and unknowns but likely short term. Twitter clout chasers … Tommy John, confirmed.
  3. How do they let this man talk?
  4. Some of you are so weird. I don’t want to make judgments on anyone personal life, but taking joy in doomposting like this is pretty indicative..
  5. I want to believe you, and probably tend to believe this won’t be worst case but am also of the opinion I’d be surprised if he plays Sunday. That said, the reason speculation is all over the place is because the Bills have been very weird with injuries this year. I get it, somewhat .. the cautious nature of the staff given the goals and depth on this team. But everything seems to linger and we all experienced the wild randomness of Micah Hyde’s season ender, it makes sense that people are on edge .. especially with the guy our entire franchise rides on.
  6. Dialing it back and running a conventional offense may actually unlock something in this team. It could also be horrible. If Allen misses 4 weeks, looking at the schedule, I don’t see any games we can’t win with this defense (assuming McD does what he does and fixes the run fits) None of the teams we play coming up have our kryptonite .. a ferocious front 4 and lockdown corner.
  7. That's where I'm at after watching the entire question in context. Or McDermott is sociopath laughing because he knows it's way worse than day to day.
  8. If Allen was seriously injured, or the worry was serious, why he would laugh at all at any reports? Maybe they truly don't know, but I haven't ever pegged McD as a reflexive giggler when dealing with heavy topics. We're all just guessing here, but I fail to see how his reaction was worrisome.
  9. He certainly could, but I think it’s a bit different when they know the rumors that floated around today and we’re talking about one of the faces of the NFL.
  10. Seems like Cover 1 guys are trying to CYA by drawing attention to hype tweets and downplaying any hopeful conclusions from Ian R
  11. Is that immediate or something that would take time to notice? Because homeboy launched a bomb of epic proportions on a dot the very next play.
  12. Best team we’ve ever had and it’s like we’re playing the season while taking on constant sniper fire.
  13. Im assuming they heard, along with Nate and Graham, that they are examining the elbow for further damage and also under the context that he had a UCL injury a few years ago. I’ll try to give benefit of the doubt, as I can see how that’s worrisome, but yea….. the Rap tweet is NOT what I was expecting after all the drama.
  14. How is this the tweet we get after all the hysterics? IDGAF… Give me Keenum on Sunday. His arm better be 100% if they put him out there.
  15. That would qualify as sick to my stomach news to people who aren’t worried the news is he’s done for the year. I would’ve been sick if I heard that this morning. Now that I’m worried we won’t see him until 2023, id breathe a sigh of relief over 3-6 weeks.
  16. This whole vague tweet game blue check marks play is wayyyy more fun when it’s about trades and signings. They know the entire Twitter based Bills Mafia is now worried the season ended yesterday re: Allen, and it’s a fun little game of “I know something you don’t know”.
  17. When does McDermott have his presser? My office day has come to a grinding halt upon having the misfortune of checking this thread lol
  18. Nope, don’t love that. His response of “not being a reporter” makes it sound like he’s clearly heard something at WGR and it’s not his place to break it. That said, the wild variance of what this could be, even regarding Allen, is something that I don’t love seeing LAMPs from him over. 2-4 weeks we can handle with the upcoming schedule. Season ender is obviously another story.
  19. Why would he sign a deal where we have an out? Just roll the dice and offer him a 3 year deal at the expense of having to let Edmunds and/or Oliver walk. Can free up money for him by trading Oliver for a pick, if necessary next year.
  20. Yea … if this is an injury that requires 2-4 weeks to heal, and we’re resting dudes left and right anytime they’re below 95%, then we better rest Allen. Maybe playing with Keenum will force them to get back to fundamentals and run a more balanced offense.
  21. Not much we can do about it right now. Bills OL really isn’t a problem, tbh. It’s not an elite unit, but who really has a dominant line anymore? Chiefs spent all that money and draft capital for what? Any good DL wrecks them. Same with the Bengals. We have a decent group that is protecting/blocking for an offense that is way too predictable.
  22. I just went through their tweets and all I see is anxious worry about McD's presser, but no reason to be worried other than waiting on an Allen update. Where do you see that they know more than we know?
  23. Not sure I follow. Both QB's struggled. Both QB's were under siege all game. Allen had to wait decades between possessions. Mahomes could sputter, repeatedly, then immediately get the ball back. Mahomes didn't end the game, his Defense did. Mahomes got into OT FG range due to a circus catch by his TE2. He had a chance to end it in regulation and didn't. Allen dropped a 70 yard bomb into the chest of our WR2 who didn't make the play.
  24. Mahomes and the KC OL were brutal last night. The parallels were eerie... Both Allen & Mahomes were struggling to throw the ball, OL's struggled to protect them, and they had to rely on QB runs for big plays. Difference between the KC dub and Bills L was that we played a competent Offense with legitimate weapons, while the Titans trotted out the worst starting QB since Peterman and receiving weapons that wouldn't even suffice for high level SEC teams.
  25. "Should", sure.... but for teams like BUF and KC, where all that matters in the Playoffs... the 5-3 Jets don't get you going like KC did. McDermott and the players can say the biggest game is the next game all they want.. This team clearly has levels to them, and the level of intensity against KC was wayyyy different than the d***ing around we saw against GB and NY.
