Two games from the Super Bowl and they just decided it’s too much? If that’s the case, they are mentally weaker than I thought .. and we need an even bigger house cleaning. They got punched in the face by a better coached, tougher team. Once they got dazed, they had no plan. No coaches that could help. Just had to take the beating. There are no excuses. It was embarrassing for every single person involved in this organization. It’s the type of loss, in Year 3 of contending, that precedes change.

I’d use Day 3 to fill in gaps on the defense. There may be some weak spots on defense and that’s ok. Chiefs have been coaching around weak spots for two years now.

Seems easy to me. Let Poyer walk. Trade Oliver. Then I’m fine if they re-sign Edmunds. Rest of the guys can be brought back cheap and/or replaced with similar guys in low level FA. Day 1 and Day 2, all three of those picks… WR, OL, OL. Fill in the Defense and a RB on Day 3.

Whats rough is that a lot of people on this board wanted those guys. It’s not a “hindsight is 20/20” type of thing.

The worst part, and the reason why I can’t believe anyone wants Frazier back next year after this (and 13 seconds) was that I didn’t even bat an eye when Cincy went down and scored … I just expected it. In a Divisional Round Playoff Game, I expected the opponent to score a TD on the opening drive and it didn’t even affect me. Think about what that says .. because I know I’m not alone.

Hes been the main aim of my DL frustration since Von went down. He still has some value. Move him for a 2nd if someone offers. Hes good, not great. That’s not the type of player we can pay, so why not move him and use his salary elsewhere. He should not be in our future plans. Would have no problem with this. Elam, Benford and Jackson is fine. We have to accept that with Allen’s contract kicking in, there will be holes… and im not even that down on those 3 as our CB’s as long as we load up the Offense.

Pretty much. Our most talented CB doesn’t see the field for reasons nobody that studies tape can explain. Our most talented RB needs to be perfect or it’s back to the bench. Shakir … I mean, how on earth did this man not get more playing time this year. He’s clearly one of our top 3 WR’s on this team. The Bernard pick makes me want to vomit right now, but there’s a ton of promise moving forward with those 3 and whatever Benford can be.

100% Id honestly let Edmunds and Poyer walk. If they have money they can free up for Edmunds, use it in FA on OL. All Day 1 and Day 2 picks should be WR & OL. Fill out the Defense for our new coordinator on Day 3. There will be weaknesses on the defense .. so be it, that’s the reality now. They don’t show up in the playoffs anyway. The key is getting 1-2 elite players on defense to anchor your cheap guys/rookie contracts around, like the Chiefs do with Chris Jones. Yea .. seems pretty similar to the type of guys we’ve drafted.

Id say we’ve drafted pretty similarly to the Chiefs, and we’ll see how they stack up against the Bengals in Arrowhead, but the big difference is they have a monster in the middle of their DL in Chris Jones. They also play their rookies. Who knows what Elam, Cook and Shakir could’ve given us if they were given regular reps all season.

Bengals still win big, but also the weather affected us more. Both can be true. Throw “Bills struggle in snow game” onto the pile of dog **** that was this performance.

Its why I’m not even crushed by this loss. We were exposed. This isn’t 13 seconds. This isn’t heartbreak. This is what we needed. There’s no hiding .. changes need to be made. Both personnel and coaching-wise. And it’s about time. Should’ve happened last year so we didn’t even get to this point.

Yea .. but I think we may be at a point where coach needs to know what’s best for him in certain aspects. I didn’t have a problem with the hire at all. But Dorsey, whether his concepts/schemes or ability to get through to Josh, just didn’t really vibe. We zombie walked our way to strong output due to how great Allen is, but it always seemed off .. and unfortunately that came to a head today against a defense led by an elite coordinator who actually borrows blueprints to slow down top QB’s.

Bengals have dawgs on that team. They probably look at half our dudes and laugh. McD and the fun bunch .. get rocked in the playoffs anytime they play a team with the football equivalent of hood in them. Milano is probably the most vicious guy on our defense and he’s a white Italian guy who barely talks.

Post-season KC Too early to know about Cincy. They destroyed us because our scheme is trash and we won’t budge from it. We literally blitzed while White was ten yards off Chase on 3rd and 5. Random college QB’s can make that read. We sent delayed blitzes all day when Burrow was getting it out under 2.5 secs. What the literal ****!!!!

Yup. I’ll have to avoid the ridiculous talking heads for a while because I can’t stomach the Burrow/Mahomes > Allen takes. Trash our team/coaches .. fine. It’s deserved. Allen has been given such a raw deal so far (when compared to the other elite guys).

Fire Frazier and gut the Defense. KC is now in Mahomes big $$ and they have Chris Jones and some meh. They make some plays, give up a lot of plays. It’s up to Spags to coach and scheme above average games from an average unit. We have a defensive HC.. so we should reasonably expect that. If not, why keep him? Let Poyer, Edmunds and Phillips walk. Just do it. Also, Tre … do you want to still play? Is his future here? Something to watch perhaps. Bills can free up money for one big signing. That can’t be on defense. Who’s the best OL available? Go get him. Draft OL/WR in the first two rounds and then fill out the defensive side of the ball in the mid-late rounds.

Allen will never say it, but when he looks at what the Chiefs have built around Mahomes and the Bengals around Burrow .. he has to feel let down by this organization, coaches and many of his teammates. And he has every right to feel that way. Bills need to really take a hard look at themselves this off-season, because Josh Allen now owns the 0-3 against Mahomes & Burrow in the playoffs… not the team, not the town.. he does, because that’s how it goes … and as Nate was saying on the post-game … it’s so unfair.

McDermott, I’m ready to let him go. I doubt we will, but I’d support it. He’s a defensive guy who’s defense has been trash in the elimination game the past 3 seasons. He’s situationally poor in the big playoff moments. And most importantly, Josh Allen will perennially be at a disadvantage of not having a steady offensive mind at the helm like … oh, I don’t know … EVERY OTHER DIVISIONAL PLAYOFF TEAM. I will say … tonight, watching that DL against a decimated Bengals OL.. first time I’ve thought Beane might not be it.

Can’t be overstated enough. People can’t just think because it worked with Brady/Belichick, it would work here. Allen will have a revolving door on offense, while Mahomes, Burrow, Lawrence etc all have offensive guys. If McD’s Defense is utter garbage in the playoffs, then what is the point? He offers nothing that he hasn’t already given us. Great man. Built a great program. I fear he’s reached his apex both functionally as a defensive guy and personally with his coaching style. Team needs an overhaul on philosophy this off-season.

Of the big names: Poyer, Phillips, Singletary and Saffold. If we keep Edmunds, we should trade Oliver. Id shop Tre White. Way too much investment on this defense. Still decent talent coming back next year if you strip the defense down. Hire a more aggressive coordinator and devote the off-season to the offense.

I’d be shocked if we fired McDermott, but I think you have to make the phone call off 13 seconds and now this.

Bengals are down 3 OL and their CB1 Im not at all entertaining this convo about us missing Hyde and Von

It’s the type of game that causes big changes to happen though .. and that’s needed now.

Id argue this weather at home is hurting us more than them.
