I honestly think he should be fired for this game … when you factor in last years 13 seconds, but he obviously wont. Frazier has to go, and we need to just let Edmunds and Poyer walk. Trade Oliver. Wayyyy too much investment on this defense for it to get punked to end the season 3 years in a row.

Maybe some extenuating circumstances? No? The Bengals team/coaching around him is DESTROYING ours.

Only positive is that a game like that may trigger a philosophy change. McD won’t get fired, but the entire defense-centric / Frazier defense needs to be overhauled.

Seriously stfu .. his decimated OL is holding up and he has 3 stud WRs who are wide open all game. How is your life this miserable that you need to post this?

This game seems to be making the off-season pretty clear. Edmunds I’m 50/50 on but Poyer, Saffold & Singletary can walk and Oliver can gtfo. Trade him. He never shows up in big moments. Our defense can look this bad in the playoffs without them.

Something needs to change if this continues.

Maybe not a popular opinion, but I’m listening to pregame, and I’m getting a bit tired of how I need to respect Cincy and how we share this bond.. Ok, fine. They were chirping all week before our first game. Came out and tried to injure our QB on a dirty play and then did injure Taron Johnson.. on a dirty play. Now, they’re whining again.. all week. I don’t like that team. I don’t respect that team. I don’t care that we shared a moment. Shut. Them. Up.

I never thought we were going to blow out the Dolphins. I definitely didn’t think it would be that close, but all the talk on pregame sounded wayyyy too reminiscent of what we heard before the Jets/Wilson game. This game.. I feel confident we will win and it won’t be a nail biter. Of course, as we get closer to 3, I’ll be all nerves. I just feel that McDermott and Frazier realize that it’s time their defense steps up in the playoffs. Yes, Von and Hyde are out.. it’s not ideal.. but they are facing a team with a decimated OL, and not just decimated, but recently decimated. I also feel our secondary is in a much, much better spot than they were a month ago. Combine our improved secondary play and their OL issues .. and I’m ready for a very good Defensive performance against a top offense in the playoffs, finally. I just feel like they understand the moment .. or maybe, I just feel they’re due.

I don’t think it was a pretty good indicator of the season .. Buffalo made so many mistakes against Miami (a team that does that to us this year). I do think you’d be correct in pointing out to anyone saying things like “well, if we just don’t turn it over today…” that, ok, would be great, but they don’t seem very focused on playing zero turnover games. Certainly would be a perfect time for them to start.

Ok….but we’re playing a team missing 3 OL starters … and not just 3 OL starters over the course of a year .. they just lost them all literally within the last month. Everyone is dealing with injuries, especially on the AFC side.

Without Von, I’m not sure that they will with 4 (hope to be pleasantly surprised) - especially with how quick Burrow gets rid of it .. but there’s enough talent on this defense that we shouldn’t have KC ‘21 or KC ‘22 on defense again. Im sure McD has input in draft picks and there’s an insane amount of high draft capital on this DL, two stud LB’s, a stud slot corner, Tre White and a RD1 CB, along with Poyer at Safety… that’s enough. Time for the defense to step up against a top end passing offense in the playoffs, especially with injuries that somewhat offset the loss of Von and Hyde.

As much as I respect McDermott as a man, he’s going to start losing me a bit if he can’t slow down Cincy and then hopefully KC. Decimated Cincy OL. Hobbled Mahomes. Figure it out.

Really disappointed in Doug Peterson’s approach when Mahomes got hurt. He coached the game like KC would never score again. When they did, he opened it up and they started scoring. No margin for error at that point and the fumble ended it for them.

Jax finally gets T-Law moving and taking shots down field and ta-da… Their OL isn’t holding up great, but you’ve got to take the chances against that Chiefs secondary and not let off the hook by throwing everything around the LOS.

At least they throw a hundred screens that actually work.
