  1. I like that Houston made everyone present acceptable trade proposals to them before granting permission to speak to Watson. Like peasants asking a favor of the Queen. Last time anyone will care about them for a while. Might as well go all out.
  2. This sounds suspiciously like something a team that was trading for him would say…
  3. We didn’t want him. Clearly. He knows our system but he also needs to be schemed to hide his lack of speed/agility.
  4. Buffalo took a UDFA and made him serviceable opposite Tre. They then took a late round draft pick and made him look serviceable opposite a former UDFA. We have one of the top Safety tandems in the league, along with a good nickel corner. Tre will be back at some point next year, if not the opener. For the life of me, I do not understand any worry about losing Levi Wallace. For all the justifiable hand wringing about our DL, this coaching staff knows how to coach the secondary.
  5. GOOD This clearly shows that the FO did not truly want to retain Levi or Harry. Levi and Harry are great guys and were decent players for us. That’s it.. decent. Time to move on and get better.
  6. Does that cause any future cap ramifications? If not, yes, sign me up for that!
  7. With Settle, Jones and Oliver, along with cap saboteur Star Lotulelei, this makes zero sense to me.
  8. This real or is this pretend like the initial McKenzie numbers?
  9. Buffalo about to zig on the Edmunds trade and zag on trading Oliver with all this DT interest.
  10. If the Bills did somehow pull a trade for Hunter, that - IMO - would have to lend itself to the thought of shopping Edmunds. It seems tough to re-sign Edmunds after this season anyway, with Oliver and Knox coming due. No chance at all if Hunter's contract is in the pot.
  11. They saved money on Saffold over Williams and, at the very least, didn't downgrade the OL. They saved money on Settle/Jones over Harry/Butler, and likely upgraded the IDL. Now they signed a top 3 receiving back in the NFL... an offensive element we haven't really utilized in seasons past. This move is not status quo.
  12. Moss seems like a break-in-case-of-emergency back at this point. Singletary is fine. But McKissic is a RB designed for our Offense. Love it!
  13. Was waiting for this.. Watson played his college ball 2 hours away at Clemson and grew up an hour outside ATL in NE Georgia.
  14. They signed Justin Reid yesterday. Good player. They seem to be doing a bit of what we’re doing at the start of Free Agency… basically rearranging the deck chairs so far.
  15. Giants fans ecstatic over Jon Feliciano. Giants fans also clamoring for Darryl Williams. They do seem knowledgeable in knowing they have to try and fix their OL on a budget, so I get it.
  16. Star was a bad contract. Paying Edmunds his fifth year money when it would take a minor miracle to re-sign him is dumb. Buffalo wasted way too much on these past two years for “above average” players and “depth”, while not getting that needed difference maker to go with Allen, Diggs and White. Im not going to say Beane is infallible. He’s a really good GM who has spent too much money/assets on depth and above average players to be the worlds most complete team… however that type of team puts more on Allen’s shoulders than KC does Mahomes. Im hopeful the philosophy is changing. Settle/Jones aren’t Addison/Star type signings. They are good players on inexpensive deals (relatively speaking). That’s good football, regardless of my criticisms of some of Beane’s past FA signings.
  17. You’re looking at it as AAV. Contract isn’t structured that way. And yes, 2 years / $9 mil is less than matching Harry’s contract. Settle and Jones are good players who don’t break the bank. What would you like us to put out there alongside Oliver?… 3 mid-late round draft picks?
  18. Every move we made today saved money… -Morse extension -Saffold replacing Williams -Jones/Settle signed, letting Harry walk
  19. Rams would have been tough. Sick of hearing about Cinci. That defense they deployed to turn Mahomes into a pumpkin doesn’t work against Allen. He would’ve just ran all over it.
  20. Buffalo has gotten praise on the shows too but im not searching to link them for you. Also, Buffalo didn’t lose to KC because they “ran it back” in many aspects. They lost because the coaches spazzed out to end the game. If you’re assertion is that we have too many good players and not enough great players, I’d agree with you.. but everything we did today, on paper, makes us better. We saved money at Guard and also managed to upgrade it. Same on the IDL. Jones and Settle give us that physicality we didn’t have last year.
  21. Eh.. the Bills were better. They were likely the best team in the NFL last year (on the field) We lost to KC because the coaches completely spazzed end of game. Now you can say maybe we were better because Josh Allen went god-mode in the playoffs, but if we get by KC, we’re likely SB Champions.
  22. Solid/Good player when healthy. GREAT person. Fwiw.. i’m surprised he got a contract like this.
  23. Consensus amongst NFL folks is that we: -Upgraded the OL with Saffold over Williams -Upgraded the IDL with Jones/Settle replacing Harry/Butler McKenzie was signed to a team friendly deal, clearly to be WR4, and the Morse extension makes all the sense in the world. I struggle to see what people are complaining about in regards to these moves.. Who, that signed today, did you want? Cinci and LAC got much better in certain areas, but they have rookie QB money that BUF/KC do not.
