  1. Our DL was bottom tier once Von went down with the ACL. There seems to me, to be zero reason to worry about creating holes on units that didn’t perform. Creating holes to bring in a RB, yea.. that’s not ideal. However, creating a hole at DT, to shore up a hole on the OL or at WR, is just reallocation of assets. We’re going to have holes. I’d rather they be on Defense, where we can hope Von, Rousseau, Milano and (potentially) a much improved secondary can mask enough and make plays when needed. Not sure what it would take, but trading Oliver and paying more/trading an asset to get an elite player at DT is fine by me. Simmons trade, Hargrave signing. Invest heavy on Offense. Invest in difference makers on Defense, and then depend on McDermott to be able to scheme for the weaknesses.
  2. Bart Scott said Gabe Davis is like Tee Higgins on ESPN this morning. Hey, if it brings back a high pick… Gabe Davis is Jerry Rice. Make it happen.
  3. Im fine with Bijan at 27, but that better mean we made a move for WR2 in Free Agency, and at the very least, brought in a legit RG.
  4. What’s the plan right now? Jones, Oliver, Settle and…. Why can’t that be Jones, Day 2 Pick, Settle and….? And fwiw, I wouldn’t even be opposed to trading Oliver for a Day 2 pick and then paying a few million more for someone like Hargrave. Go heavy on OL day 2 by multiple picks or a trade up for the guy we target.
  5. Im more than fine extending Daquan Jones and then replacing Ed with a Day 2 bigger body DT. Use his cap hit on offense. Extend Jones and replace Oliver, so we aren’t going into ‘24 with zero DT’s under contract.
  6. You trade him for a 3rd, because we only have six draft picks and need cheap talent .. but more importantly, it rids us of his 10M+ cap hit, allowing us to be in play for another vet OL or WR
  7. Pretty much agree. The only guys who truly affect Championship aspirations, on an individual level, are QB, WR and Pass Rusher. A collectively bad secondary… A collectively bad offensive line... Those things can affect aspirations, but not on an individual level. You can hide a weak link, you can scheme to strengths.
  8. The constant squashed hope of checking this thread every time there’s activity, hoping there’s a linked tweet to something happening on this front. I still can’t get over his social media post about “show me the money”. If Diggs wants to throw temper tantrums, whatever… Ed Oliver!? Ha!!..get out of here man..
  9. Tyreek Hill wasn’t exactly a choir boy in chirping his way out of KC for a new contract. They simply let their top Safety and CB1 walk in Free Agency. Watch Micah Hyde on GMFB yesterday. Dude bleeds for Buffalo. Diggs needs to stop talking, but it is what it is. Von got hurt. It happens. He’ll be back and if anyone can come back ferociously at his age, it’s freaks like Von. Who cares if we don’t have any of the following next year … Edmunds, Poyer, Oliver, Basham, Epenesa … None of them, singularly, or in totality, drastically affect our Super Bowl chances. In fact, I’d argue having them all back makes us less likely to accomplish that.
  10. I mean … contrast his actions, ongoing, with Micah Hyde this morning on GMFB. Micah literally jumped in to glow about McDermott in one segment. You could tell by his reaction it was genuine. I don’t think Diggs is of that mindset.. in fact, I think he’s of the opposite. And that’s fine, and it’s ok to be upset …. But this is starting to become some bs… Grow tf up. I say this as someone who probably feels exactly how Diggs does about the coaching failures of McDermott and, up until now, Frazier, in the big moments. Throw in Dorsey, who he knows is only the OC because of Allen. Yea, I get it Stef.. you’ve made your point. Go to Cabo for a few weeks or something, my goodness.
  11. Ok, sure.. but are you just going to dismiss how he affects the throwing lanes and vision of bad/mid QB’s in November?..
  12. I disagree, but fine, let’s accept your premise.. September isn’t January, and in January he hasn’t been a difference maker. You don’t pay dudes that don’t make a difference when the lights get bright.
  13. What exactly does he believe warrants “showing him the money”?
  14. Philly might as well trade Jalen Hurts to the AFC. At this point, who cares, it's comical. Only 7 teams can get into the post-season.
  15. Yea, I'm not overly concerned with Rodgers to the Jets. I think they're a Super Bowl contender for a year or two with him, but I also think it forces us to really up our game with a threat like that in Division. My frustration would definitely come with the fact it seems Green Bay just wants him gone.. and in doing so, likely won't demand significant draft compensation.
  16. I'd be shocked if they don't sign a starting caliber RG in Free Agency. Just remains to be seen how high level of a starting RG that is. That allows them to go into the draft with Dawkins - Bates - Morse - FA - Brown, along with Boettger, Doyle and some low tier vets as depth. I think most of us would want them to do more that just that in addressing the OL, but that would likely be enough for them to go BPA and take Bijan Robinson if he's there.
  17. Interesting insight with Micah Hyde hosting on GMFB talking about Diggs. It's clearly a "thing", but doesn't seem like a thing anyone is worried about... at least that's the public face he put on it.
  18. Perfect. I’d do it yesterday.
  19. Yup.. and it's valid. He has a few years left at an elite level, and he's witnessed 3 years of Championship aspirations evaporate in front of him.
  20. THIS People keep acting like we’re losing Edmunds and Poyer off the defense that finished the year. If people want to doubt Von, Micah and Tre’s ability to come back from injury, fair.. but this defense we will field at some point in ‘23 has Von Miller, a healthy Tre White and Micah Hyde.
  21. For me, it depends. If they let them walk and address Offense heavy in FA, I’m not opposed to a pass rusher at 27. Nolan Smith, specifically. (If he’s there) Zero interest in a MLB or S that early though.
  22. I enjoy the random commentators on these networks bemoaning the fact we've moved on from Frazier, likely losing Poyer and Edmunds.. meanwhile most who follow the team think the organization finally "gets it", provided this speculation comes true.
  23. How this isn’t apparent to those who watch CNN/MSNBC/Colbert is beyond me. These are the same people who were brainwashed about the pandemic. Same people who still believe Russiagate. Yet they truly believe that they’re intellectually superior to die hard MAGA types.. They are exactly the same.
  24. We honestly didn’t even need TC releasing footage to know what happened that day … all he’s doing is putting it into the mainstream for non-hyper political Americans to become aware of. J6 was used, manipulated, and weaponized, to demonize Trump supporters and as an attempt to prevent Trump from ever running/becoming President again. Capitol police and those in Washington were aware of what could happen. “Agitators” in the crowd helped it happen. ….and away we go. I don’t want Trump to run for President. He’s not my guy. But I know what he represents to the establishment…. and that’s why we saw what we saw emanate from every corner of the political spectrum/media when the uniparty lost control of the narrative two nights ago.
  25. At the end of the day... Bring it on. KC manages to get through the AFCW year after year. Next year they've got the Payton-led Broncos and Herbert/Chargers, with a meh team in Vegas. We'd have the Dolphins and Rodgers/Jets, with a meh team in New England. CIN and JAX sitting pretty in their respective divisions given the state of the Titans and the Lamar Jackson-less Ravens.
