  1. If we manage to sign a legit pass rusher, shut it down … I don’t want to hear about the loss of Edmunds… this becomes a proper, elite level defense.
  2. It’s a valid question. Their DL was meh last year, but they just switched over to a 3-4 last year … a DL full of 4-3 guys definitely didn’t excel in the new scheme. In their previous 4-3, Poona was a beast.
  3. WGR truly has the pulse of the fanbase. Poona Ford trending on Twitter. Bills fans dancing in the streets. Let’s do some AFC Power Rankings.
  4. 3-4 scheme, and Poona Ford has excelled in a 4-3. Also, I have yet to see a Seahawks fan that isn’t upset he’s gone.
  5. Speedy athletic attacking linebackers make A LOT of sense behind a DT room consisting of Daquan Jones and Poona Ford. What a homerun of a signing!! Let's gooo!!
  6. Yea, sounds like he has a role. Wonder if we keep 4 RB's with Cook/Harris as 1-2, Murray as short yardage and Hines as KR/PR/Gadget.
  7. Just looked at the opponents for Bills, Chiefs and Bengals. Bengals schedule is noticeably weaker than the Bills and Chiefs.
  8. We’re a top 3 caliber team: Chiefs Bills Bengals Eagles I want to say 49ers but can’t get over the QB hurdle with them. We need to figure out how to match up/scheme better against the Bengals, but I do believe we match up well with KC, and while we were physically & mentally beat up end of last season… I believe we enter this year improved at OL, RB, WR, TE & S. With expected improvement from Tre White, Kaiir Elam, Spencer Brown and James Cook. Along with Year 2 of Kromer/Dorsey, McDermott taking over the Defense, a healthy Josh Allen and the additions of Von Miller and Micah Hyde off injury. There a good bit of “hope” in there towards the end of my outlook.. and while hope isn’t a strategy, I don’t think anything I listed is unreasonable to think will be improved upon. Every team has some questions marks, ours are: RT WR2 MLB OC DL (until Von comes back) RT likely has to be solved by improvement from Brown WR2 could be Davis making a jump and/or Kincaid becoming that piece, allowing Davis to be more of a Weapon3 piece in the Offense. MLB.. no clue what we’re doing here. Hopefully it works out. OC, another “have to hope” situation where Dorsey improves with a year under his belt. DL, I think gets solved in FA. If Von is going to miss time, and maybe even if he doesn’t, we’ve had a good bit of smoke with FA DE’s & DT’s as well. Also, I’m not worried about Von.. it wasn’t a catastrophic tear and he is a physical freak. Just give us 80-90% of what he was pre-injury for this year and next, along with his penchant to step up in big moments, and that’s still the guy we paid for. This is a really talented team, with a lot of depth and reasonable hope that the weaknesses get ironed out before Game 1.
  9. Interesting to hear Beane say Dorian Williams size/skill-set absolutely lends itself to the MLB position in our Defense, but what is holding him back from potentially being a strong candidate to win the it out the gate is to not put too much on his plate. I mean.. if we drafted Campbell or Sanders, would he be saying the same thing?
  10. Yup … at the end of the day, we didn’t get the 1 seed. Some posters want to pretend like that doesn’t matter … except KC keeps finding ways to get that 1 seed, or at the very least, put themselves in position to be the pseudo-one seed. Mahomes has literally never played an away playoff game and KC has had multiple BYE weeks over the course of Mahomes tenure. Not coincidentally, they’ve won the last two AFC Super Bowls.
  11. If he’s not coming here, by all means re-up in Arizona. As long as he doesn’t end up in KC, I’ll take it.
  12. I’ll tell you this … even with how mentally and physically beat up we were last year … give us KC’s road to the Super Bowl, which for us would be been BYE, JAX (home), KC (home) and I’m not so sure we don’t make the Super Bowl…. Hyde was set to come back for the AFC CG and that BYE week would’ve been monumental for that team.
  13. I think the fairest assessment, when everyone is healthy, is as follows: BUF, KC & CIN are all on the same level. They are the top contenders in the AFC. KC gets the benefit of the doubt over BUF and CIN because they keep finding ways to stay healthy, represent the AFC and win Super Bowls. CIN is a bad matchup, until proven otherwise, for BUF. BUF matches up better with KC.
  14. I could see a world in which Kincaid just crushes it, but at the end of the day, he's a rookie... and a rookie TE at that (although yes, maybe more of a slot). I think the safe bet is Kincaid opens things up more for Davis, and in a contract year, we see if he's worth giving an extension to.
  15. It should have been 7-7 with CIN driving, but Allen missed a bunny timing throw to Beasley that was a walk-in TD. Instead it was 7-3 and everyone now thinks we just get boat raced in that game, like we didn't also drive through CIN with ease.
  16. If we sign a DT, does that mean we're carrying 5? Because we seem to only ever carry 4. Same goes for EDGE... we currently have Von +4 (5 total). Signing an EDGE gives us 6 guys. Maybe Von starts the season on PUP, but somethings got to give when he comes back, should we sign a legitimate DE.
  17. I think there's a disconnect between people comparing this team to last years starting roster and those of us looking at this years team compared to last years ending roster. This is what we ended the season with: Allen - partially torn UCL Singletary/Cook/Hines Diggs/Davis/Beasley/Shakir Knox/Morris Dawkins/Saffold/Morse/Bates/Brown Rousseau/Shaq/Epenesa/Basham Oliver/Phillips/Settle/Ankou Milano/Edmunds White/Elam/Johnson Poyer/Marlowe This is what we project, as of today, for '23 Allen (healthy) Cook/Harris/Hines Diggs/Davis/Shakir/Harty Knox/Kincaid Dawkins/McGovern/Morse/Torrence/Brown Von/Rousseau/Shaq/Epenesa Oliver/Jones/Phillips/Settle Milano/??? White/Elam/Johnson Hyde/Poyer The highlighted are guys who I believe are noticeable improvements over last years final game debacle. That doesn't take into account Dorsey in his second year, McDermott taking over the defense, and any improvements for guys like Spencer Brown, Kaiir Elam and James Cook. The only spot I believe we downgraded was MLB. Every other spot on the roster, imo, is the same or in 8 cases, will be much improved over what we saw from that position in the Bengals game. I also believe we have MUCH better depth across the board and I'll go to my grave thinking Allen was much...much more injured that anyone was ever led to believe. Of course there will be injuries next year, but let's hope we finally get some KC injury luck, because last year was patently absurd.
  18. The poster you're responding to is basing his argument on the fact Dallas didn't re-sign McGovern. Ignoring the fact that Dallas has a completely different OL philosophy than Buffalo. They currently have Martin at RG and Tyler Smith at LG. They are a power scheme. McGovern is more of an athletic pass blocker and they have limited money. Should Bengals fans be worried that KC didn't re-sign Brown or KC fans worried that Jax didn't re-sign Taylor? Absurd reasoning.
  19. Explain to me, in well thought out terms how last year's offensive line isn't upgraded upon by removing it's worst player, it's second worst player having a full off-season to try and improve, year 2 of Kromer and the consensus top OG in the Draft added to the mix, along with a solid vet in Edwards and a starting caliber guard who is above average in pass pro with McGovern.
  20. Love it. Harris is really good, but injury prone. Murray gives us insurance in that role.
  21. Oh, for sure.. I don't expect much from him this year aside from depth and special teams. That being said, our WR1 was a 5th Round Pick. Florida fans would tell you that their offense was a mess for the past few years, aside from the Trask/Pitts year. Shorter has dealt with erratic QB play and injuries. I'm just glad we have a true outside WR to develop behind Diggs and Davis this year. If he becomes a WR2 type or better, great... if he washes out of the league, so be it.
  22. In fairness, I posted that at noon on Saturday.. before we drafted Shorter. I still don’t know that I love our WR room.. but we have limited resources and chose to take give ourselves a potential monster TE tandem. Shorter does make me feel better about outside depth. He’s all potential … the floor is really low, but at least we have another big body outside WR to develop long term behind Diggs and Davis as a potential option other than Harty, who is a very different skill set. Shakir and Sherfield both being inside/outside flex. If I had to guess, Shakir will focus more on the slot now. WR room has potential and good depth, but until proven otherwise, is lacking at the WR2 spot for an elite pass heavy offense.
  23. Agreed. Higgins 6’4 218 4.54 Shorter 6’4 229 4.55 I’m not saying Shorter will definitely become that, but one guy played on a program in transition, with Anthony Richardson. The other guy played at Clemson, with Trevor Lawrence.
  24. Beane definitely does not think that’s the case. He was wildly transparent about wanting to address DT.
  25. I don’t disagree with you on the defense. As of today, it comes down to McDermott being better than Frazier and Von, Hyde and White regaining at least 80% of what they were pre-injury. On offense, I just think it’s insane to think we’re worse. In my view, this is the best OL talent and skill weaponry that Allen has had since becoming a Bill.
