Like the pick. Outside depth, physical specimen
-
He’s not. He’s being trained to play both inside and outside. Similar to Harty, also plays inside and outside. Neither are ideal as solely outside WR’s, but both can win out there.
-
We only have 2 though. Shakir and Harty can play outside, but I doubt we want to go 4 weeks with Shakir/Harty opposite Davis if Diggs gets an ankle sprain. Although that’s kind of where we’re going to be regardless, as a WR today likely isn’t beating them out.
-
How many OL have the Pats drafted?
-
Nobody is forgetting them. We have 5 WR’s in a pass heavy offense. We have 2 pure outside WR’s.
-
-
Yea, I’d be surprised if they go OT They clearly believe in Spencer Brown. Still have Doyle as developmental depth, Q as vet depth and, most importantly, Bates likely goes back to being the OL super sub.
-
AT Perry makes too much sense, if he’s there. Every outside WR tool you could ask for, just needs consistency and to work on the drops. Can stash him behind Gabe Davis as WR5.
-
He is, but we have like 50 slot options right now. He can play outside a bit, but we’d just throw him in a bucket with Shakir and Harty.

Arizona has about ten minutes to accept pick 137 and next years 3rd for Hopkins. ((speaks it into existence))

This stuff comes out during/after the draft usually. I’ve heard Tucker’s medical, like Jones attitude, has removed him from teams boards entirely.
-
Philly traded a 3rd next year for an early 4 this year. If we really wanted someone, with our comp pick, we could jump in here, but I also think/hope we’re holding onto ‘24 picks for Hopkins a trade.
-
I think Tucker has a heart issue that came out pre-draft? If I heard correctly.
-
I know it’s just one game, but I have no appetite for undersized DT’s after the Bengals backups pushed our **** in for an entire playoff game and Oliver and co. were on ice skates.
-
I get why nobody would touch him with a premium pick, but if he’s there at 137, I’d go for it. Do we have a culture or not? You build that type of locker room to take a swing on guys like this once in a while. Imagine if he hits and we have a right side of Torrence and Jones? Block out the sun…
-
Just once I would like the Bills to pull a Chiefs and take a character issue guy that’s dropping. Dawand Jones would immediately challenge Spencer Brown. If he’s a locker room / off the field problem as a Day 3 pick, just cut him.

It’s just PTSD from last years Bernard pick. And the previous years Basham pick. Two years in a row there was a pick universally hated by the fans, and two years in a row .. at least in terms of immediate returns.. the fans were proven correct. I like Dorian Williams as a prospect more than I liked Terrell Bernard, but it’s hard for me to say our FO deserves the benefit of the doubt when they do this.

I still think we desperately need another outside WR, but when healthy, this Offense has absolutely filthy potential. The contrast between the slot options we can throw at teams is absurd.. Defenses already have to worry about Diggs & Davis outside, Knox at TE and then in the slot: Kincaid - TE/WR hybrid Shakir - Deebo-lite Harty - Speed & Route Running Add in the fact James Cook can run WR routes from anywhere on the field With a much improved OL (on paper) sky is the limit.

The ESPN broadcast was interesting.. They critiqued the **** out of Simpson & Henley (who went earlier in the round) by pointing out how talented/athletic they are, but they really struggle in processing and read/react instincts. Then they gushed over Overshown and Williams mainly due to their violence and processing skills. I like the player, just don’t understand the fit. I think we all need to be patient and realize we also have no idea what McDermott’s defense will look like. Maybe we see a 4-3/4-2-5 split instead of primarily a 4-2-5 defense.

Not sure i can give props to Baltimore for their ability to draft WR’s. It’s either one of two things: -They can’t draft WR’s -Lamar can’t elevate WR’s Maybe both. We shall see.
-
Joe Marino does a good job for what he is. I generally like his content, but yea… he was over the top with Zay Flowers and Jack Campbell in his draft prep. Both went before we picked, so I can’t knock him, but it was all the time with those guys. Not sure anyone could have foreseen the Bills draft though .. we took two guys who most didn’t think would be there at our pick and generally go against conventional Bills thought … Playmaking TE early after paying Knox and a Guard-Only for Kromer and his position flex heavy philosophy. Thank goodness, because those picks - on paper - are both game changers. Then we go undersized athletic LB for the second year in a row, when we have no true MLB and an All-Pro undersized LB in Milano. My gut says McDermott has to have a different view for the defense than Frazier. How many of the same type of LB can one team have if they only play two?
-
Rumors are he’s dropping because his workouts were so bad, and his attitude so poor, that some teams literally took him off their board. Which, of course, means KC will draft him today and he’ll be a stud.
-
Agreed. Maybe a WR is there today we like and the room makes more sense, but as of now, it looks like a purposeful omission when we go with Dorian Williams in RD3, as both KC and BAL drafted WR’s with premium picks. I still think Hopkins makes sense for all three teams, but you’d think KC will want to get Skyy Moore and Rashee Rice on the field given two years of high pick investment, to go with Toney and MVS.
