  1. I'm not moving Elam if I'm Buffalo. Dane Jackson is a FA after this year. Let's see how White's season progresses. At the very least we have a solid player in Benford and a guy who's looked good when given the chance in Elam, under contract for 2 more years after this season.
  2. Bills suddenly look like they have a strong foundation of young players to build around Josh Allen with as we look forward and envision the next window without guys like Poyer, Hyde, White (potentially), Morse etc... Of course, the hope is we win it all with them and then move into the next window. Key players 26 & under with multiple years on their current deal.. Defense will likely need some retooling in coming years, but if Oliver has turned the corner... they will have a strong core for the next few years in Oliver, Rousseau, Von and Milano to build around. Offense is really looking solid with Davis and Morse being the question marks after this season. RB: James Cook 23 OL: Connor McGovern 25 Ryan Bates 26 O'Cyrus Torrence 23 Alec Anderson 23 Spencer Brown 25 Ryan VanDemark 25 WR: Khalil Shakir 23 TE: Dawson Knox 26 Dalton Kincaid 23 Quinton Morris 24 DL: Greg Rousseau 23 Ed Oliver 25 LB: Terrel Bernard 24 Dorian Williams 22 CB: Christian Benford 22 Kaiir Elam 22
  3. Is that Nick Chubb screaming … ok, yup… crowd reaction can’t be good.
  4. Haha… what is this game?
  5. I have zero desire to consume any content involving her. Anything she's involved in, I'll typically turn off. I'd love to see anyone replace her. That said.. I don't wish for anyone to go out like this, even if she was quite unprofessional in that moment.
  6. I don't know if I'm there yet. Does Benford have the ability to become a CB1? If so, I'd be inclined to agree. If his ceiling is solid CB2 in our system, then a potential miss on Elam still hurts. A guy you draft in RD1 typically has traits to become a high end starter. Elam has those traits, but it hasn't translated yet. Does Benford? Maybe, we'll see.. but for this to be a one for one deal, I need to see that ability from Benford. Ideally Elam figures it out and we have the option (not saying we should, but we "could") of moving off Tre next year, depending on how this year goes for him, and have a much easier job resetting our cap by moving off say... Tre White and Mitch Morse.
  7. Good thing I didn't say that. I wasn't a fan of the Bernard pick, and was extremely underwhelmed with what we saw from him as a rookie, but to say MLB is still a need based off his play so far comes off as personal bias. That's not to say MLB won't be an issue, but through 2 games... it is not.
  8. Hopeful on your post.. and I do think there's reason to believe this will be the case. We saw a legitimate vision on how Cook can be used this year, in addition to how they plan on deploying Knox and Kincaid. Harty is likely an X-Factor type player behind Diggs, Davis, Knox, Kincaid and Cook.. So once we get them all established, I could see things opening up for him.
  9. The calf injury is worrisome. That’s where them being 0-2 is concerning. If Burrow was healthy, you’d think they could get it together, starting with an interesting, but certainly winnable game, against the Rams. Now they have to decide whether to play him and risk serious injury or let him rest and risk dropping to 0-3.
  10. That interception was not simply right place, right time. He had to show ball skills to secure that.. and did. Something in his second game, that we rarely ever saw from our “pro-bowl” MLB of the past five years.
  11. Front 7 looks top tier. Rousseau, Floyd, Jones, Milano and Oliver (yes, Ed looks great) are all impact players. Bernard looks like a potential playmaker at MLB and our rotational guys on the DL are all pretty talented. The Secondary looks solid, but I'm hoping to get more confident in them as Hyde, Poyer and White all knock the rust off and get into rhythm. Benford looks legit at CB2, we all know Johnson is a top slot corner, but I'd love for Elam to get active so we can have a speed option to put back there.
  12. The Defense has obviously looked good in the first two weeks against bad and average QB play. My only concern is speed in the secondary when we play against Miami. Not so much with Benford or Johnson, but Hyde, Poyer and Tre are going to need to be on point in that matchup and not find themselves chasing guys. Would be nice to have a CB like Elam to put out there in a matchup like this.
  13. That blocked kick was FILTHY
  14. Bernard is starting to look like the guy who dominated the Sugar Bowl in his last season at Baylor. If that’s all anyone ever saw of him, you’d think he was a RD1 talent if not for being undersized.
  15. Meh.. if they lose to the Rams, I’ll start to question them. Not right now.
  16. Allen is unstoppable when he plays with discipline and is willing to take what the defense gives him. Defense looks susceptible to a big play here and there, but also seems FAR more capable of making plays, while still being a strong unit that will make you work for it. When Von comes back, this DL is a straight up UNIT. Benford stays looking good at CB2. Brown looked like a franchise RT today, and even those guys get help against the elite rushers. Bernard with the impact play. McDermott was aggressive on 4th down. Overall, not sure how much more I could ask for in a game where we needed to remind the league, and maybe even ourselves, who we are capable of being week to week.
  17. We’re not doing that, but our WR room outside Diggs isn’t mediocre… it’s below average unless Davis decides he’s actually a WR2. Currently we have a WR3 and some WR4’s supporting Diggs and a couple TE’s that heaven knows we’ll ever figure out how to use.
  18. Just win this game, offense get your act together and move on from this past week. Hard for me to get super excited about anything else. Hopefully the Pats and Cowboys win so that by Monday morning, we’re all sitting at 1-1 in the AFCE.
  19. I think it’s two-fold, until proven otherwise.. 1) Josh is at a disadvantage year to year due to the lack of offensive stability that other top QB’s have. 11 personnel under Daboll. Pass catching RB obsession in Year 1 of Dorsey. 12 personnel in Year 2 of Dorsey. What happens if Dorsey has a great year and becomes a HC? What happens if he gets let go? Does Josh just have to morph into the offense of whoever our next OC is again… on top of everything else that goes with developing that Coach/Player relationship? 2) The defensive philosophy permeates the organization. Not until this year have we truly had an off-season where there was a good faith effort to really improve Josh’s side of the ball. And it shows when our WR2 doesn’t seem to be more than a WR3 and our RT is on hope and pray watch every week. Could’ve had Creed Humphrey. Drafted an EDGE no longer on the team. Could’ve had Dawand Jones. Drafted a LB buried on the depth chart. Could’ve had money for Hopkins. Spent it on guys like Poyer, Matakevich and Floyd. (I do really like Floyd)
  20. I have Hockenson going and am facing the Eagles Defense and Hurts… Im rage watching the Vikings right now.
  21. Eagles with a horseshoe up their *** on these punt fumbles.
  22. I’ve been high enough on Allen that I think he’s the most naturally talented QB in the NFL, but due to those gifts, that’s also why he’s receiving the harsh criticism this week… The typical talking head nonsense was going to come regardless. They have a clickbait job to do. What he’s getting that’s different is the old “I’m not mad, I’m just disappointed” vibe aimed at him from some of the more nuanced and respectable talking heads. The fact he is so talented, but (so far) just doesn’t seem to get it. He does whatever he wants to do with zero regard for his body and/or what he does to hurt the team when he gets bored or frustrated. That’s not professional QB’ing. That’s immature and selfish. It’s on him to change it. Apparently nobody, except maybe Daboll, can get through to him.
  23. All of us thinking surely this year will be less drama-filled than last year. One week later.. Bills lose. Our QB Benjamin Buttons himself back to his rookie year. Owner has bizarro second hand racist allegations levied against him. Local reporter trashes our star WR on a hot mic.
  24. Is anyone else having fun yet?
