I’m not advocating for it.. but I think the only thing that stops the “brotherly shove” is when a defender launched themselves just right, helmet to helmet, and knocks Hurts out. It’s unstoppable the way they do it .. and they won’t stop unless something like that happens or the NFL stops it (and I’m torn on the NFL stopping it - teams need to figure it out).
-
This is apparently the NFL now. Bengals/Ravens hyped primetime game. Burrow injured for the year. Andrews injured for the year. Ok, let’s try Chiefs/Eagles.. Good lord…
-
Hurts looks like a zombie and their playcalling is college level right now.
-
KC legitimately seems like they know what Philly is trying to do on every offensive play.
-
They’re a weird 8-1. Haven’t looked great doing it. Beat two good teams that traditionally struggle beating other good teams (Dallas, Miami), a bunch of meh and now they look like absolute trash against KC. Won’t be easy to go into Philly and win, but I think you’re giving them far too much credit.
-
Hurts looks shellshocked out there.
-
I am starting to come around on the whole refs deliberately influence games conspiracy theory …. In which case I’m hopeful we get some good officiating down the back stretch because with Burrow done for the year, I can’t imagine the league is excited for Lamar, Lawrence & Tua leading the pack for matchups in the Mahomes invitational.
-
Seems some people are just finding out that Hurts isn’t elite? Hes the NFC’s Tua. A decent QB surrounded by alot of talent, just swap out Tua‘s accuracy for Hurts power and mobility.
-
Translation: Refs just arbitrarily decide when to throw the pick flag. There’s no rhyme or reason other than their whims.
-
The one he does when power walking like a suburban mom getting exercise in an 80’s movie?
-
Chris Jones single-handedly takes KC’s defense from bottom third to top tier.
-
This is where I’m at. Do I think our defense is back to an elite unit because of that game?… no. More a product of the opponent. However, the Jets came into that game with every intention of winning and getting themselves firmly in the playoff race with, apparently, Aaron Rodgers coming back. We rendered that discussion pointless this morning after our most dominant performance against them in recent memory. Offenses don’t just do that to the Jets defense. Even when their offense continually lets them down, they stay in games. They don’t typically get rocked like that.

Everything changes if the Bills can get a win in Philly. There's still talent on this defense, but they need to get healthy for the stretch run. It hasn't just been the losses of Jones, Milano and Tre... it's been that, plus constantly missing other guys for a game or two and/or guys playing through injury rendering them far less effective. When healthy, I don't accept that this Defense can't at least be solid: Floyd - Rousseau - Epenesa (Von, Shaq) Oliver - Joseph - Phillips (Settle, Poona) Bernard - Johnson (Dodson, Williams, Lewis, Neal) Douglas - Benford (Jackson) Hyde - Poyer (Rapp?, Hamlin, Lewis) That defense I just listed has 3 above average EDGE rushers, an elite DT, a really good MLB, two solid corners and a solid Safety duo. I'm not of the mindset that we should be absolving them of any blame because "injuries" when they still have the ability *if healthy* to put those guys out there.

Time will tell if he’s the real deal, but this was a massive win for the conservative/libertarian movement in the West. This guy has the brashness of Donald Trump but with the mindset of Ron DeSantis. The culture war must be fought with a heavy hand. Any conservative who doesn’t believe this (Nikki Haley) has no business running for office in this political climate.

I think we needed to have two objectives against the Jets and their top tier defense: 1) Win 2) Get the Offense going Check and Check Cannot overstate how massive it would be to beat the Eagles and get to 7-5 for the bye. 10-7 "might" get us in, but 11-6 does and I think we'll all feel like that's absolutely possible if they can beat Philly. Just like the Jets were a test for our "new offense", the Eagles will be a test to see if our new defense can slow down a top offense. I listened to the postgame last night while driving home and Schopp/Bulldog were incredibly down on our defense, and while I get it... I also feel like Linval Joseph can give us 70% of Daquan Jones. Similarly, Rasul Douglas 80-85% of Tre White. Which means, as long as we don't continue to get decimated on that side of the ball, they really are trying to mask the loss of Milano. Am I off-base to expect more from this defense than them being an albatross for the rest of the season and our offense needing to just win shootouts every game?

Shakir can play outside, he's just ideally suited to play from the slot. That being said, it certainly seems like moving Gabe inside could have added benefits of keeping him closer to the line for blocking, as well as giving him easier releases. Problem is, I don't know that Allen trust Davis anymore to throw to him in the middle of the field. We can't have 1st and Goal's turn into deflected pass interceptions against the teams we have coming up on our schedule.
-
Shakir has won me over. He just makes plays and you can tell Allen is beginning to trust him. A lot of Deebo-lite in his game. Best case scenario is teams start to see the emergence of Shakir, Kincaid and RB passing game, resulting in defensive changes .. which could emulate the Diggs, Beasley, Sanders, Davis dynamic that Gabe had some big games in.

Dalton Kincaid: Beane's best pick since Allen?
SCBills replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Beane’s got some strong picks in recent years.. Kincaid, Bernard and Cook all look like impact players at the position. Benford is a legit starting corner. Shakir in his second year is starting to display high level WR3 ability. But Kincaid is the answer. The next generation of elite TE’s after Kelce steps aside will include Dalton Kincaid. -
Joe Brady out here getting Josh Allen those layup TD’s we’ve been forever jealous of Mahomes getting.
-
Everyone thank Matthew Smiley for giving them life and allowing a drive to continue that injured two of our players.
-
Chargers take an L
-
I understand this is a defense mechanism to act like this for certain fans, but tell me who you believe gets the last playoff spot…
-
A lot changes if we win today. The teams we’re competing with aren’t very good. Our issue is our schedule.
-
Shaping up like: AFCS: Jags Texans AFCN: Ravens Browns or Steelers AFCW: Chiefs AFCE: Dolphins Texans could certainly fall off, but they have a relatively easy schedule. Leaves one spot for Bills, Jets, Broncos, Chargers or a 3rd AFCN team.
-
Way too early to tell. Chargers & Texans both in close games right now with NFC teams. Raiders only down 7, but O’Connell looks awful and the Raiders won’t stop running Jacobs for 2 yards a pop.
