  1. I've been pretty critical of this team for much of the year, but the OP is correct.. At Cinci was always the toughest game on our schedule. We obviously have to win the next two and figure some things out over these coming weeks, but I feel way more confident in us beating Philly in Philly and/or KC in KC. When you play teams also matters.. Right now we're wounded and the replacements aren't up to speed. We caught Cinci at the exact moment they started putting it together. Philly and KC don't look all that great for their records, and maybe they pull it together and look unstoppable just in time for us to play them as well.. but you never know until the game occurs, and on paper, we match up far better against them than CIN. CIN has a QB who will always take what's given, a power running game and elite WR's all over the place. He has a great mind on Offense and one of the best big game DC's in the league... and one who runs concepts, with personnel, that clearly affect what we want to do. They are, as it stands, our toughest matchup.
  2. There’s a few major Bills accounts/groups that I will never support or follow due to how they acted during this. Absolutely shameful how some in this fanbase treated this kid.
  3. Im not even joking when I would take back Daboll as HC in a heartbeat. And honestly McDermott might be great for the rebuilding Giants. Daboll has a connection with Allen, and at this point, that’s all I care about … because Dorsey seems to have our star QB’s head in a tourniquet .. and the HC/QB relationship is very evident in KC, MIA and CIN.
  4. Just wondering out loud how I’d react if one of my salesmen had processes in place that yielded high commissions and then just kept deciding at random to do something completely different that always ended up losing clients… Pretty sure I wouldn’t be cool with them telling me that they’re just trying different styles of marketing.
  5. Floyd Rousseau Oliver Epenesa Bernard Benford Jackson Hyde Poyer Johnson I won't count people like Von, rotational DL guys etc., who haven't really done much. We've had injuries that can absolutely warrant a drop from elite status to middle of the pack. But to have this precipitous of a drop under a DEFENSIVE MINDED HEAD COACH is absolutely unacceptable. You can't convince me half the DC's in this league couldn't do more with the talent I just listed. Yes, Offense is a major problem this year, but to warrant having a defensive minded head coach (which is likely a good bit of the reason for the offensive woes) struggle so much due to an injury bug just cannot happen. Again, middle of the pack defense.. ok. Not amazing, but understandable. What's happened since.. pathetic. We're so sorry Sean, that you don't get an entire 1-11 of high draft picks, high value FA's and star players... but really?.. this is what we get now?
  6. This. I'll give McDermott credit for having a functioning defense given these injuries, but in terms of being elite... it can't be Tre goes down, we can't stop good offenses. Von goes down, we can't stop good offenses. Daquan/Milano/Tre go down.. we become one of the worst defenses in the league. All the while talented players regress all over the place. It's just not enough from McDermott over the years to warrant us sacrificing the offense to musical chairs at OC.
  7. We're stuck with Von and Knox, for better or worse. Tre White, pay reduction or cut. Take a machete to the rest of the defense and let Gabe Davis walk.
  8. I don't necessarily want to hear the injury excuses.. but the Chiefs make us look like we're made of glass in terms of major injuries. The one time they dealt with them in the Mahomes era was in the Super Bowl.. where he got smoked by the Bucs Defense.
  9. Agreed on OBL, when we're playing like this, they are impossible to listen to. Props to Nate Geary last night.. his monologue post game was cathartic.
  10. I honestly don't know what to think about anyone on this defense. When everyone is healthy, the defense is an absolute unit. When we have injuries, or anyone gets dinged up, they severely underperform playing through injury and/or apparently need elite talent around them to perform at a high level - specifically on the DL.
  11. If the Dolphins lose any of their next 3, I'll feel like we can win the division (Raiders, Jets, Commanders).. until then, they are a good, not great team, that doesn't seem capable of losing to clearly inferior teams. Going to be hard to catch them if they keep beating teams they should beat.
  12. It did seem like the offense found some footing in the 4th quarter. Not sure if the Bengals offense plays any differently while not protecting a two score lead though. As soon as we cut it to 6, they went aggressive again and moved right down the field.
  13. I don't think he trusts anything going on out there. We also don't have the talent people want to believe we do. Diggs, Kincaid & a good OL should be enough to be way better than we've been, but outside of that he's throwing to a RD4 WR and RD5 WR. They're ok.. but it's getting to the point where Shakir may be a more reliable option than Davis.. which isn't saying much. Combine that with our OC seeming incapable of adjustments or any semblance of cohesive game-flow and we get what we've been seeing. ....which makes Josh Allen look like what the OP alludes to.
  14. Doesn't matter .. they have to be. And I don't think anyone views any team in this league as a "get right" game for this team. These next two are as close to "must-win" as it gets, without actually being must wins.
  15. It didn't matter because our 20M per year DE couldn't set the edge on a RB who I could beat in a race... but hoo boy, if we got the ball back down 6 with 1:10 left and came up short because we ran out of time due to McDermott burning a challenge in that situation... FOR NINE YARDS... this board would be apocalyptic. He shouldn't be let off the hook just because it didn't matter. That challenge was legitimately insane.
  16. I'm 100% ready to let go of Dorsey.. it's just not working, and we now have a year and a half of data to show that it's not working. I don't think McDermott would pull the trigger though, because Dorsey getting canned is his last card to play if this season doesn't go how we want. If he does it now, he doesn't have that card to play in the off-season to save himself.
  17. I don't know if 10 wins gets us there due to the tiebreakers, unless Miami falls off and 10 wins can get us the division. 11 seems like the safe number to me. AFCW - Chiefs AFCS - Jags AFCN - Ravens All look like safe bets to win their divisions at this point. If we can't get it together and cede the division to the Dolphins, that puts us in a race with basically everyone except the Patriots for 3 WC spots. I think the next two are getting pretty close to must wins.. then hopefully we figure something out and are able to take 1/2 in the Eagles/Chiefs split. Anything less than 3-1 over the next 4 and it feels like we may need to win 4 in a row to get in. 10 could do it, but if we're any tie-breaker situations, it doesn't look great.
  18. Bills really need to show up because this Bengals team is legitimately the most unlikeable group of players I’ve ever witnessed together on a team. Even more annoying is the nonstop faux outrage seems to work for them. We need to end that .. tonight.
  19. Staff must see something in Settle that we can’t because I have no clue what he does out there.
  20. Not sure why someone eyeroll reacted to this post of yours. Caleb Williams is all over the place. Painting F*** UTAH on his fingernails, crying in the stands. He could be the next Mahomes though.. just needs to improve on playing in structure.
  21. IF we beat the Bengals, I think we’re winning the division. Dolphins very well may rattle off 5 in a row. Their final 3 games are against teams they haven’t proven they can beat. A win tonight would also signify that we’re for real, imo.
  22. I’ll take it. Dolphins take the L. Division is ours if we win tonight. Chiefs win another rock fight.
  23. But insanely late, so we get the stop, unbeknownst that the refs blew it dead already.
  24. Um.. what was that?
  25. Dolphins probably go for 2 … but they are clearly able to move the ball a bit on the Chiefs defense right now. Chiefs offense is disaster class this half.
