  1. Y’all are entitled to your opinion, but I think it’s a terrible allocation of money to prioritize a 30 year old above average CB over a 30 year old gamewrecker on the DL. Don’t care about the pick swap. It’s sunk cost.
  2. Why don’t we just move off Douglas and use that money for Armstead? It seems the drop off between DL talent and CB talent is a mile wide in this draft. It seems so simple, but I’m sure someone will tell me why this binary choice is not.
  3. Is Douglas’ contract messed up due to the restructure of we move off him? Were all debating where we can find money for Armstead… What if we just move off Rasul Douglas and bring in Arik Armstead. If we bring back Levi, we have our emergency starter. Benford locks down one spot. Hopefully Elam can have a good summer. Draft a corner or two.
  4. The “hope” is that the answer to this question is: -Von Miller -No clue right now, but I’m tempted to say Kincaid if you need an answer tonight
  5. Id do it. Im at a loss for what this WR room looks like, but pressure from the interior is how you get Mahomes uncomfortable.. especially with how the playoffs are officiated. Armstead, Oliver and Jones is a top tier DT rotation. If they can get it done, im ok relying on the Draft, but would hope we double up with a WR in RD1 and another on Day 2.
  6. There’s 3 differences between us and we all know that what they are: 1) Coaching 2) Injury Luck 3) Hill, Kelce, Jones, Snead. We have not once had an elite non-QB player in the playoffs step up like those guys do/did.
  7. As we’ve seen with injuries these past few years, if your star players go down, you’re screwed anyway. Doesn’t matter if the depth is a 4M per year guy vs a Day 3 guy. In terms of the ultimate goal, you do need to stay healthy. It is what it is. Hopefully Beane is learning his lesson because we need more Armstead’s and less (insert vet making 2-4M all over the roster)
  8. Bills have no money for a WR also.. Keep an eye on Bills for big ticket DL Checks out… In all seriousness though.. I’d be for this. Bills rotation can keep him fresh and getting pressure up the middle is the way to go against the Chiefs, given their Tackles are allowed to blatantly hold all game.
  9. I think a lot of us realize that. It's just frustration that we're falling further behind KC. Guys like Jones & Epenesa truly do make a lot of sense as must re-signs, but these are the same types of guys that are NOT moving the needle when we get to the high stakes games. Re-signing them basically takes us out of the running (it seems) for maybe one guy who does. But then we're insanely undermanned on the DL, so it is what it is.
  10. Does anyone worry about Beane potentially boxing himself in at WR in the Draft? Mack Hollins doesn't change the fact that this WR room, as currently constructed, is not very good. We have a question mark at WR1.. Is he still a WR1, what level of WR1 as he clearly isn't the type to just take over a game no matter what. We have a decent slot WR with some outside flex in Shakir. And we now have a depth WR in Hollins. This is a loaded WR class.. It's also one that has Tier 1 (Harrison, Odunze, Nabers) all gone in the Top 10 and the Tier 2 WR's potentially picked over by 28. People seem to think we have all this draft ammo to move up in RD1.. We don't. We have a lot of picks on Day 3... that's not moving us up much.
  11. Chiefs had an elite defense that shows up in the playoffs. Chiefs have Travis Kelce and invested back to back RD2 picks at WR, of which Rashee Rice finally broke out. People keep wanting to compare us to a team that has 2-3 elite guys outside Mahomes at all times, who all step up in the playoffs.. it's the strangest thing.
  12. Transitioning myself from the hope we do something unexpected to a general feeling of ok, fine, whatever. Nothing that I will disagree with. I'm fine with Morrow as vet LB depth, fine with Hollins as vet WR depth. Probably more deals like this coming down the pipe. Pinning our off-season on Beane needing to build the WR room through the draft.. and every GM knowing he needs to do that.. well, sounds like another Josh Allen Save Us type of year. Borderline playoff roster turned into a contender because of the QB. Same as it's been.
  13. I'm not against the Mack Hollins signing. It makes a lot of sense. The reaction to this is just bottled up frustration from the fanbase towards the cumulative team building of the past few years. That said.. Don't compare us to KC. Do we have a Travis Kelce? No. At least not yet. Do we have a Chris Jones. Lol, no, not even close. Mahomes restructure allows them to extend Snead if they want. Elite playmaker. Elite pass rusher. Elite corner. Bills have none of that.. and while we finally seem to be ready to use premium draft capital on WR, the Chiefs have done that the past two years in a row.
  14. Two Things: 1) Mack Hollins on a 1 year deal, worth "up to" 3M is a good deal for a WR5. Special Teamer with size who can come in provide adequate WR depth. 2) People do have the right to worry if this is all we do at WR leading up to the Draft. The pressure on Beane to get it right, with the entire league knowing he needs to get it right, will be very high. All this talk of Allen needing more help and all we've done, pre-draft, is trade Bates, cut Morse and let Gabe walk. I'm not saying those weren't the right decisions.. I agree with them, but (if) there are no substantive corresponding FA moves before the Draft, Beane has really boxed himself in.
  15. Yea.. Bills are in no way similar to the Chargers. To the casual fan that sees the names, maybe.. But Tre White basically hasn't played in two years and Poyer is a 2M per year Safety. Mitch Morse is the only guy equivalent to the guys they have to cut.
  16. Mack Hollins trending Top 5 on X lol.. NFL/Bills Mafia undefeated.
  17. Diggs ? Shakir ? Hollins Shorter vs Isabella vs Hamler
  18. What does this have to do with his approval rating? Trump is hated too. It’s hilarious that MAGA touted national polls, that were obviously going to change once he became the nominee, when diffusing the RDS & Haley talking points that he will struggle to win. We all knew this polling would flip .. anddd what do you know.. once Haley dropped out, it has. I still think Trump can.. honestly, I think he will win.. but he needs to be way more serious than he’s been.
  19. Biden approval rating falls to an all-time low after SOTU https://www.newsweek.com/joe-biden-approval-rating-sotu-address-2024-1878673
  20. I'm bracing myself for real money spent at Safety soon. When in reality, I'm completely fine with Rapp, Lewis, a cheap vet and a draft pick. Give me one splash move/trade and fill in everywhere else with vet minimums and draft picks at this point. We won't, because we're obsessed with rotations and depth, but I would.
  21. I don't really get why.. Shakir, imo, is a good player. I'm completely fine with him being our starting slot for the next few seasons. Diggs will play outside, but has always been a guy - compared to the other top guys - who's taken way more snaps solely outside. He, as he gets older, should probably start getting moved around more. That means an increased snap share in the slot. Kincaid is a future star. He's a TE, but like Kelce, will also take slot snaps. Cook, if we want to truly maximize the reason we drafted him, should also be a guy who flexes out into the slot. That's 4 guys. 1 of them a slot with outside flex and the other 3 as guys who should all see increased snap share in the slot.
  22. I honestly feel like I'm losing my mind. Shakir showed improvement all season and was one of the only reliable post-season performers outside JA.. and everyone seems to want to replace him and/or draft/sign slot WR's... when we have zero outside WR's and the one we have should probably see an increased snap share from the slot... oh, and we have a potentially (future) elite TE who needs slot snaps as well.
  23. Spencer Brown, I feel great about signing him long term. The jump he made this past year and the fact he's still so raw. Dude could be special at RT. Rousseau seems more like we feel we have to given the draft capital, potential and the fact he's good. But he's not been great (so far) and there's no guarantee he gets there.
  24. It is what it is, but Rodgers is .. by all reports- open to it .. and he’s on a short list with Mike Rowe, Jesse Ventura and himself. Hes the only one with a domain name taken out. Again, I highly doubt this happens, but, why the domain name around the time RFK said he decided on his VP and will announce in the next two weeks…
