Polls Are Basically Useless
SCBills replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Yes, moderate. Trump is as progressive as it gets for a Republican on abortion. The post-birth stuff is typical politician fear mongering/stretching the truth. Similar to how Dems say Trump will ban all abortion, even when he explicitly states the only issue he cares about relative to preventing abortion is elective late term. Trump is the President who got Roe overturned so Dems will rely on that to misinform their voters on his intentions in a second term. Dems went from safe, legal, rare to anytime/any-reason with unfortunate comments from folks like Northam, so Republicans will rely on that to paint Dems as barbaric. “But Trump lied!!!” Thats how politics work.. Biden lies, Trump lies, Newsom lies etc etc They’ll attack him for having “morals of an alley cat”, while Biden stole Jill from her husband at the time and Newsom smashed his campaign managers wife. By and large, these people are all the same. You’ve just been conditioned to hate Trump more. -
I’ve also read that the campaign money raised can only be transferred to Kamala & she alone can release it if Biden drops out.. Not entirely sure if that’s true, but if so, she has a ton of negotiating leverage. I have to assume they’ll offer her something like the Supreme Court to bow out and allow them to pick the new candidate. That being said, polling consistently shows Trump up 3-4 points on everyone they could think of running against him.. a figure the Biden campaign themselves is circulating amongst donors post-debate.

Not even trying to post the video he’s talking about … San Francisco Pride. Degenerate filth. Go to his X page if you want to see what’s going on there.

I actually do have some worries about Newsom vs Trump, given his political acumen and the visual difference.. However, with news swirling about him potentially getting in if Biden were to drop out, I’ve never seen so many notable former Californians, celebrities and high influence podcasters go off on him. People who have left Cali truly hate him and he’s going to be facing a heck of headwind both defending his record in California and the onslaught of people who will be warning America about him.

Lol, yes.. it was that much better. Absurd rant. Politicians lie… Biden repeated multiple debunked comments, stated the Border Patrol endorsed him, no soldiers died under his watch and somehow he inherited both high inflation and no inflation (whichever suited his argument). Trump had multiple memorable clips and made the most coherent point of the night by repeatedly hitting Biden on illegal immigration. Even on abortion .. Biden’s wheelhouse, Trump gave a very moderate answer while Biden gave us the weirdest rendition of Roe V Wade ever orated, implied we have an epidemic of siblings raping each other and talked about Laken Riley. -

I’m not even going to attempt to dissect Biden’s debate performance because it was absolutely absurd and he’s a danger to the office for the remaining six months he occupies it. As for Trump, moving forward .. especially if Biden is replaced: -His constant pivoting to illegal immigration was strong. Keep doing that. -Tying illegal immigration to safety, healthcare, social security and the economy was brilliant. More of that as well. -His J6 response about the successes of it his administration, fantastic. Just leave it at that. No need to litigate further. -In regards to accepting the result of the election … “I will absolutely accept the result of a free and fair election”. That’s it. Done. Stop talking. -Stop riffing off the cuff about abortion. Just say it’s returned to the states where the people can decide and you won’t sign a national abortion ban. Thats what he believes. Stop rambling on this issue and just be concise. His position is wildly mainstream, bordering on being more progressive than the average American, yet he goes on and on about nonsense every time. -If anyone has seen 8 Mile, B-Rabbit wins in the end because he addresses everything his opponent was going to say beforehand. Trump did that with the “economists”. Biden had that in his back pocket and when he played it, Trump already undercut it and it never landed. In a more serious debate, that stuff matters.

Agree with all of this and pleasantly surprised to hear that he’s willing to be coached.

I agree with this. Trump was easily heading towards re-election if not for Covid.. and that’s even WITH the coordinated four year smear campaign between media, Dems & unelected beaurocrats. That being said, Trump is his own worst enemy and - no matter who the nominee is - the gameplan will be the same.. just this time the plays run with be J6 & “convicted felon” instead of Covid. If J6 never occurred, Trump would be unstoppable right now. But it did. And so he’s vulnerable.
-
J6 ruling interesting due to the makeup of the decision. ACB dissenting, while KBJ joins the majority.

I live in Georgia. He would have lost to anyone not named Herschel Walker. The fact it was as close as it was is insane because Walker was a hilariously awful candidate. He has a lot of issues that will come out under further national scrutiny and is not particularly well liked here. Ossoff is far stronger, but will lose his seat if Kemp runs against him after he finishes his time as Governor.

Its already somewhat even on polling for who’s better in protecting democracy.. will be interesting to see how the public reacts to being given a nominee they didn’t choose. If R’s had any sense, they’d have a normal nominee and be guaranteed to win no matter what D’s do.. but as it stands, all guiding principles Dems claim to have will be disregarded as any means necessary to take down Trump. But passing over Kamala (black vote) and bypassing Democracy (independent vote) will be their two biggest hurdles if they manage to move Jill Biden out of the way.
-
Many of them will expect Kamala to be in consideration for the nominee, and if she isn’t, and it’s another white person, that’s going to be a problem. Not for all of them, but in a closely divided nation with swing states decided by tens of thousands of votes, they absolutely risk some black women staying home and black men furthering their migration to the right. Dems need 90% of the black vote to win elections. They can’t win with 75-80% and/or low black turnout.
-
Correct, they’re another power structure that can win over modern day Dems by throwing out some DEI slop and turning their social media into a rainbow spectacle for Pride month.

The state of the left in 2024 Crying whenever government power over our lives is limited.

After last night it’s pretty clear that unhappy Dems have to convince Jill, not Joe. She’s truly an evil person.
