  1. #3 is their biggest issue btw
  2. When you pick someone so terrible that you know they won’t smoke you out in fear of the successor but then need them to defend you when the knives come out…
  3. This was seismic. Knockout doesn’t do it justice. He may literally get replaced after this.
  4. Dems ranting about Trump’s lies as their only rebuttal to that debate. Not enlightening any of us on what those lies were. But assuring us that all he did was lie. (for the record, im sure he did lie.. thats what politicians do) I can name Biden lies off the top of my head.. Border Union Inflation Bleach Fine people on both sides
  5. And leaders around the world now know he’s likely on the way out one way or another. If you want to make a move, you’ve got about six months to get froggy.
  6. That was insane. Not sure we’ve ever seen a more one-sided Presidential Debate in history. They have to replace him.
  7. We definitely didn't go into that KC game with one injury. Take Tre out of it because he barely played the past two years.. We were down, Milano, Bernard and Gabe, plus all our playable LB depth and Douglas was maybe 30% out there. Team was a mess.. and somehow if any of our DL guys have a nagging injury, it derails them, as Rousseau, Floyd and AJE were not the same after getting banged up during the season. We've had serious injury issues going into the playoffs lately, whether in numbers or key players.. but I'm not sure how to even address that. ....aside from one of these years getting the 1 seed to rest up, which is the one area where Mahomes > Allen, because he's more consistent game to game in the regular season. Last year KC went road warrior against our mash unit and fraud-Lamar, but the year before they had a bye, Jacksonville and only had to play one of BUF/CIN.. it matters.
  8. We have talent, obviously. Beane has drafted well. We've never had a Tyreek Hill (Diggs was not that) We don't have a Kelce or Jones yet. Maybe Kincaid becomes that. I don't know that Oliver ever will, we'll see. At some point, we can't what-if with injuries.. every year KC is healthier than us in the postseason. If all it is, is luck, at some point we have to just hope the shoe is on the other foot.
  9. Aliens visiting us from other planets? No, but I don’t rule out life on other planets. Aliens as in supernatural beings? Yes. Think what you want of Tucker, but the content of this clip has been echoed in quite a few places from people who have looked into this.
  10. I don’t see us trading for Aiyuk given the amount of guys they’ve brought in, but I did wonder if we would ever make Shakir available for such a player. If so, I wouldn’t rule it out.
  11. I'm cool with Knox being here for the next few years. I do think he's a good TE and expect him to show that this year. Last year was a mess for him with his brother and then the injury that he played through out of necessity, followed by the surgery. Spencer Brown is the toughest decision, imo. He was pretty good last year, but is going to get massively paid if he follows that up this year. At some point we'll pay our own guys, but it seems like we have so many good, not great, players. Would love to have a guy where I just say straight up, gotta pay him. Shakir, Cook, Brown, Rousseau, Benford etc., Would love to extend them on friendly contracts, but definitely don't want to overpay. Bernard might deserve a legit payday, but then it's a convo about how much do you pay an undersized linebacker?
  12. Not sure if this is an unpopular stance, but currently I view Shakir the same as Cook. Nice pieces to have while they're cheap and then draft their replacements. With Cook, we can stay on the draft a RB every two years routine and take one when Cook gets a contract elsewhere to pair with Davis who will be entering Year 3. With Shakir.. next year we have Coleman, Shakir and Samuel under contract. Maybe MVS and/or Claypool justifies another years contract and then draft another WR with our 1st or one of the RD2's and then another in the mid-rounds. Get into the habit of constantly filling that pipeline. Not sure I have an appetite to pay 15-20M for a good slot WR unless he blows up this year and next.. at which point, he may end up warranting more than that.
  13. We were.. in fact I’ll take Josh Allen over Patrick Mahomes if given the same roster. But case in point .. last game. Diggs drops a bomb. Jones saves the game by beating Dawkins clean, otherwise we’re up 4 trying to keep KC out of the end zone. If it hasn’t been Hill, it’s Kelce. If not Kelce, it’s Jones. Who’s been that guy for us .. on either side of the ball in Josh Allen’s time here? Do we necessarily need that guy? Maybe not .. but so far, it’s been a big differentiating factor between them and us.
  14. Defensive End. Not necessarily where I think we need to go out and sign someone, but outside Rousseau and Epenesa, I have no clue what we have. -What is Von going to be this year? -Can Solomon translate to the NFL as a pass rush specialist? -Smoot, Toohill, Jonathan?? Nod likely goes to Smoot, but he's also coming off a down year back from injury.
  15. Such a weird response. I think Beane is a top tier GM, but to date he's had one big flaw.. he (and McDermott) can't get over the hump - mainly KC. But also that CIN loss was a poor showing. Those two teams both have defenses that show up in the postseason and game changers that we haven't had. Chiefs with Hill, then Kelce/Jones and CIN with Chase/Higgins. Beane has built a very strong roster, but it's also let down the main reason we're a contender, in Josh Allen. We haven't had game changers outside Allen. A ton of very good players, but nobody on the level of Hill, Kelce or Jones. Maybe that changes this year, and to his credit, he's stated this offseason that he now weights postseason performance heavier. Diggs is the closest thing we've had, and even he disappears in the playoffs and has never been the game changing type in the style of Jefferson, Hill, Chase, Kelce etc., guys who can completely take over a game. I've seen Diggs do that once, in the second half against Pittsburgh years ago. He was elite for most of his time here, but as a tactician, not a game changer. We still need game changers around Allen .. or at the very least, a Defense that doesn't fall off a cliff when in the Playoffs. These are his players.. he's the GM. He had valid criticisms, even though he's very good.
  16. I think we finally have WR’s (Samuel being one) who can operate underneath and the mid-range downfield. Davis is a luxury, not a chain mover and not a reliable game in/game out receiver. Generally speaking, I think most view Gabe as an overpay and Samuel (Brown for y’all too) as good value in this receiver market. Diggs was our underneath guy as he’s lost a deep step, but even then.. halfway through the season he was getting locked up most games underneath too. Shakir then became our only reliable option there and he started to step up in that role. I think Samuel is much more what we need than Davis. Maybe Gabe flourishes in Jax.. I don’t know, but it wasn’t going to happen here.
  17. Last year This year Diggs >>> Coleman Davis < Samuel Shakir < Shakir Harty = Hollins Sherfield << MVS Coleman is an unknown, but Diggs entering last year - by himself - makes last years WR room better. Now how Diggs played the last half of the season.. not so much. I give an edge to Samuel over Davis, an edge to this years Shakir over last year, Hollins and Harty are both ST guys who have had one decent receiving season and a big edge to MVS over Sherfield. No matter who is WR6, we actually have legitimate WR’s 1-5, whereas last year we had a one trick pony at WR2 a young slot that didn’t get featured in the offense until late and two scratch off tickets that flopped. Diggs entered the season a Top 5 WR, but finished up the year being viewed as an aging Keenan Allen type… nice player, not someone to be featured.
  18. Just discovered this band a few weeks ago and it’s all I’ve been listening to.
  19. Then why is Beane making it his “purview” now? Taron Johnson made a big play in the postseason back during the Covid year. Helped propel us to the AFC CG. See how important that is? Only big play from anyone outside Josh Allen that I can even remember. Oliver can be.. Needs to show up when it matters. Milano is coming injury. If he’s healthy, yes.. Just like with Von Miller, he’s a wait and see right now.
  20. The lack of “elite” players around Allen.. specifically those who step up in the postseason. Which Beane himself recognizes, as he has revised his process this year to heavily weight playoff performance.
  21. Valid criticism of Beane. I don’t think it’s unfair as we bring this up every year, how KC difference makers that show up when it matters in Kelce & Jones. Two guys we haven’t had since Josh’s emergence. What Beane has done is build a strong roster that probably is loaded in the 100-250 range. Kincaid, Milano & Oliver are our best hopes for Top 100 guys this year. Kincaid I think gets there, Milano would be there if not for injury uncertainty and Oliver has the ability but until he shows up in the playoffs it’s tough to make the argument.
  22. The fact our President needs to hide away for a week to prepare for a debate is embarrassing in itself.
  23. Trump needs to up his game. He’s getting lapped by foreign politicians like Milei & Bukele when it comes to talking ish.
