Some team will overpay to the point where the Bills will not match. The cap is going up and struggling teams typically overpay for skill position players. The Bills are smart and will continue to draft RBs (see Ray Davis). They will not sign a RB to a second year contract of any significant value with Josh Allen on the books.

James Cook will not see a second contract. Doesn't matter how well he plays.

I have more hope if Babich game plans and calls the D over McD at this point. But until we know who is doing what, it will be hard to guess the identity.

These are the games why Coach wanted a shift in offensive philosophy. I can’t say I agree with it always, but it’s comforting knowing this team can get going on the ground. I expect lots of 12 personnel and us to exploit their slow linebackers with Knox and Kincaid. Quick throws will be there, Josh has to take them. Throw in some jumbo sets and take advantage of their best defensive player being out. This should be a simple game plan. Let’s see what you’ve got Brady.

Yikes.

I think most of it is just what I have observed and there’s a decent chance I could be off. With this defense, pre snap, I see cbs back off way more than coming up to press. This makes sense because we play significantly more zone. I think the defensive side is easier to come up with answers than offensively. Offenses watching tape will see these tendencies and either have design audibles or just know when we are more likely to sit back.

I believe it is more successful against us because teams check into it when they see our soft coverage. I also believe Josh prefers a 7-10 yard out throw over the quick screen when he sees soft coverage.

This. No more "championship caliber" banners when you miss the playoffs Time to get a coach in here who promotes that thinking without it being on a banner in a practice facility.
