Giants cut Kelvin Benjamin for what??
BigDingus replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
https://www.nj.com/giants/2021/07/kelvin-benjamin-lays-into-joe-judge-after-getting-cut-by-giants-in-training-camp-it-was-all-a-hoax.html?outputType=amp "I don’t want to bash anyone, but I just felt like Joe has had it out to get me since I walked into that team building,” Benjamin said. But also... "Benjamin signed with the Giants in May after completing a rookie minicamp tryout, but said that general manager Dave Gettleman — who drafted him in the first round with the Carolina Panthers in 2014 — was the one who wanted him to join the team." Uhhhhh wut? Don't they make these decisions together? So the guy that wanted you on the team, got you back into the NFL after not playing since 2018, also collaborated with the guy who didn't want you, and wanted you off the team? If he had it out to get you, wouldn't he just have let you sit on the couch like you were doing? -
Former Wyoming WR discusses Josh Allen in college
BigDingus replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is the more likely scenario. Less paperwork, more free time, and still get paid either way -
Oh boy, now you've done it... asking which wings or food is best is gonna start a war! But as a non-native, never-lived-there traveler, I absolutely love La Nova's pizza & wings, with Duff's also being up there. I know it's the cool thing to put down Anchor Bar as just a touristy place these days, but I'll never not enjoy their food. Also off subject, but I liked your original comment just to get your rep count off "666." 🤣

I thought the only females that came to Bills message boards were much older women... like 50+ years old. Nothing wrong with that of course, but I think most of the younger ladies prefer social media, reddit, etc.

All Bills Preseason games will be carried live on NFLN
BigDingus replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thank you for reminding me there's only 3 preseason games this year! -
Brady plays all of 2020 with Unreported MCL Injury
BigDingus replied to Buffalo Boy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Eh, I'd call this more of a lie, and yeah, he's definitely a liar lol -
Ah, that explains it then. I know laws & regulations between states can vary pretty wildly, so guess it's not that surprising.

The only show I liked on Apple+ was Servant. Maybe I'll check out Ted Lasso now too. If it was cheaper than DirecTV, and there wasn't huge streaming quality issues (which sometimes I face on DirecTV), I'd be all for it.

No bail is definitely weird. I work at a jail in Texas (just got off shift), and I see bail for allllllll ranges of crimes, misdemeanors and felonies. Domestic Assaults usually start at $1,000 & a Class A misdemeanor, though I have no idea how Washington ranks their charges or what constitutes a felony. Still, you see people come in for child porn get $20,000 - $70,000 bonds set for them, murderers get $150,000 - $500,000 bonds set for them, so why did he get denied ANY amount whatsoever? I'm fine with him being arrested & sitting in jail until he's fully processed, but why he wasn't given a chance to bond out is very strange.

Diggs #3 overall WR entering 2021 according to ESPN
BigDingus replied to BruceVilanch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's weak... More like 3 positive returns on the Diggs trade, or 3 things that worked out well enough for the Vikings, but 3 reasons they "won" the trade? Clearing up cap space doesn't mean you beat out the Bills in the trade... Getting a solid replacement WR doesn't mean you beat the production the Bills got out of Diggs, getting rid of someone who doesn't want to be there doesn't mean the Bills lost the trade by getting someone who DOES want to be in Buffalo... -
Considering that D-line had 3 x Pro Bowlers & top 100 NFL players, I highly doubt it. That line dominated to the point QB's like Rodgers & Manning (the better one) looked pedestrian. So much pressure, all the sacks, tackles for loss, etc. made a top 3 defense just amazing to watch. And after seeing last year's production without Star, claiming he will have no impact is pretty ridiculous. It was clear that his presence was missed.

The return of the red helmet in 2022?
BigDingus replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As I said in the other thread, as long as it's the 90's era red helmet (not the redesign from the Bledsoe era), I'm all for it as it's the reason 5 year old me became a Bills fan in the first place. I have no complaints about the current uniform & helmet, but I'd love to see the 90's red helmet + our current uniform. -
WFT having difficulties trade marking the name
BigDingus replied to TroutDog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hey, I'm with you there man. It's nearly impossible to even have a conversation about it without it derailing into political buzzwords & insults. Everything is either called racist, or it's seen as pandering/woke by the other side. It's just become a back & forth exercise in stupidity. -
Josh Allen - Visor guy? Let’s go to the tape
BigDingus replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"No visor QB has ever won a Super Bowl." Eh... let Josh be the first then! No QB has ever won a Super Bowl for the Bills either. Don't we still hope Josh is the first? lol -
WFT having difficulties trade marking the name
BigDingus replied to TroutDog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, you're right about how there's a lot to be proud of with the Redtails, but naming the team after them would be construed as swinging the pendulum too far back in the other direction, like an over-correction to appeal to another ethnic group. People would cry about it being part of a liberal agenda, call for boycotts (even though those same people probably cry about cancel culture), and have opportunistic politicians using it as a way to gain political favor by screaming about how "woke" the NFL has become. Even if the Tuskegee airmen were heroes & an inspiring story, the Redskin name was dropped due to being a racial issue. They're probably better off avoiding anything remotely tied to race, no matter how positive, in their name going forward. -
What he said doesn't really bother me. To be as competitive as he's been, he sees everyone as competition. Saying "that mother f'er" in reference to someone isn't really that weird, nor is it insulting. Brady definitely has a huge ego though, but that just makes sense at this point. Kind of what I'd expect Kobe to sound like if he had ever entered FA. Prior to him, a QB having 4 Super Bowl rings was the best it got. And people would always say "but that was in the era before free agency!" like it wasn't possible anymore. Then here comes this "mother f'er" & just goes and gets SEVEN Super Bowl rings... forever ruining it for future generations like a prick lol Also, my use of "mother f'er" may be seen as a joke, but no.... I mean that in the most harsh, insulting, evil way possible 😁

Uniform releases to happen after 1 July
BigDingus replied to UConn James's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dunno, the Red helmets from the 90's before the crappy new uniform redesign were great. I always appreciated having helmets that weren't white like the classic Pats, Jets & Dolphins helmets. Easier for me to makeout our team vs the opponent as a kid. White always felt boring. Then again, I was a very artistic/visual kid, and the entire reason I grew up cheering for the Bills was because of their helmet & logo. It was THAT cool to me as a 5 year old growing up in Virginia watching their first game (Redskins vs Bills Superbowl). I could not understand how my family all rooted for the Redskins with that ugly looking logo & ugly colors. Then I got hooked to football & the Bills, basically obsessed. By the time the next season rolled around, I knew every player, had thousands of cards, and my bedroom was painted in Bills colors with Bills posters lol. Long story short, that Red helmet + Logo sold a small child on the Bills. I stood out like a sore thumb in a sea of skins fans, but damn I thought the Bills were cool. -
I think this is the year for Ed Oliver
BigDingus replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I understand that's what we WANT from him, but he doesn't choose where he's drafted. If he's not dominant & is simply just a good d-linemen, you don't just cut them or claim they're a bust after 2 years. You continue building & developing into a stronger D. Josh was an even higher pick with even more $ & draft capital invested in him. He wasn't dominant in his first 2 seasons, not even close. But did he develop & continue to improve? Absolutely. Not Oliver's fault he's only better than everyone else on the line (with the possible exception of Hughes). -
This is a simple Poll. Will Josh Allen regress?
BigDingus replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the poll is asking just about his stats, then sure, I could see his numbers on paper not matching those of 2020. Pretty hard to put up 40+ total TD's while also throwing for 4,000 yards each year. But overall as a player I think he'll continue to improve. The year Mahomes won a Super Bowl he didn't have as good of numbers as he did the year prior when he won MVP. I doubt people call that "regressing" even if his numbers didn't hit 50+ TD's & 5,000 yards passing. -
Time to hate PFF again...Allen #40, Diggs #45...
BigDingus replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Both of them made too much sense here. Even if you think Josh will regress in 2021, how can you say with a straight face 39 other players are better than him when he was #2 in MVP voting? lol Hell, I think Josh will regress *STATISTICALLY* but still has room to grow even better, especially mentally. Each year he becomes a better leader, and the longer he's around, the more comfortable he'll be in the pocket. If the game continues to slow down for him, his decision making will improve even more. So if this is taking into account what they'll do going forward, Allen at 40 is even dumber than only factoring in the last 3 years. Maybe he means most non-Bills fans? I dunno, I've heard that a lot. But most of the people I've talked to are kinda in the same boat as me. They think it's very likely his numbers on paper will regress, but he as a player will get better. It's pretty hard to put up 40+ total TD's each year, so it's ok if he doesn't match that this season. What matters is how well he plays in those big games, stays healthy, and limits turnovers. That'll be more than enough as long as we can field a competent run defense (and maybe find a running game of our own).
