Trades that should happen: Cordy Glenn to Giants
Mat68 replied to Peace Frog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No chance. These large market commentators are looking at Buffalo like there is a fire sale going on. Watkins and Darby trades brought 2 players that better fit the culture and have been just as if not more productive than their counterparts plus a 2nd and 3rd. Daures has really been a mess for about 2 years. That was simply he is not the future of the franchise and is not a face of the team. They dumped him for the highest bidder, Albert Haynesworth 2.0. There is no coincidence that the running game has gone up a gear since he has been healthy. -
Week 9: Jets' Game Preparation - Inactives Announced
Mat68 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Jets are a tough out. They also are not dynamic and have to win the turn over battle. The run game has changed so much since September i think Mccoy could have an even better game vs them. it comes down to turnovers and mistakes on the Thursday night game. Mccown is alot like Fitz he plays great in stretches than also very poor in others. They have imploded the last 2 weeks in the second half and fourth quarter. If Buffalo jumps out to a quick 14 or 10 point game it could get very ugly for them. -
Deshawn Watson is better then Tyrod. Yes I said it
Mat68 replied to 17 Josh Allen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Closest thing Buffalo had this year to a shootout was vs Tampa. Taylor threw for 268 ran for 60 and did not turn over the ball. As great as Watson was if he doesn't throw a pick 6 and another pick inside the 30 in their own territory the Texans win the ball game and he throws for less than 300 let alone 400. If Taylor only played as well as Car maybe Buffalo could have won the game? -
He is making a stink about targets. I see 0 chance Mcdermott and Beane bring in a diva wr for this team. Hilton, and Bryant have 0 chance of coming to buffalo.

There is no need to trade for a RB. Sure Shady would be a terrible player to miss. Not like we fared any better with Gillislee the last few years without him. I am starting to enjoy the Tolbert element to the run game. In the second half with a lead having Tolbert come in when the d knows we are running to give Mccoy a blow does not allow the defense to rest or breath. 5-10 260 is nothing fun to get in front of.

Bills dominating turnover differential - BIG time
Mat68 replied to San-O's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
2 of the 3 TO Milano has been apart of only 1 was flukey. The Td was was a fluke play. The int vs Tampa was just a great play and great coverage. The punt return was just taking the ball out of the return mans hands. For every good bounce turnover Buffalo is making 2 more good plays. Defense goal should be to make plays not just stop them not just hold them out of the endzone. Micah Hyde made plays all over the field for GB and usually in the biggest games. The way the defense is playing is more sustainable than what most think. -
Buffalo had 0 takers in the preseason. If they waited til the end of the year their would be no interest because of his contract and an understanding that he will be cut. 6th rd is all they were offered. Daures played his best game of the year. He played in 57% of snaps made a tackle. Its not like he was dominating. That 3rd and long off sides was most likely the lasting image of him. He has went Haynesworth. I respect what the new regime is trying to do and implement. There needs to be more than just talent to justify the big salaries.

Exhibit A of why Culture is so important to a football team
Mat68 replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The AFC is wide open. The Jets and Fins just dont seem very good. Regardless of record i think Buffalo sweeps both and need to find 3 other wins. -
How many people think Buffalo 2014 Daures? No different than NE trading for Haynesworth. He lasted 1 year. Daures will see the same fate.
-
He hasnt been a probowl player for 3 years now. He is paid more then Mccoy, Watt, and Mack. Im fine with it. Get in or get out is the right attitude. Are you a solition or a problem.

Brandon Beane already top 3 worst GM's in bills history
Mat68 replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Daures was getting cut at the end of the year. They saved a bunched of money by trading him. The 6th rder was all they could get. He is not an every down player anymore, he is not the best player on the dline let alone the defense or team. -
If Darues was worth more he wouldnt have been traded. He is paid like watt and playing like a rotational DT.

Belichick getting haunted by bad GM'ing again

A good qb and great in this case, makes player personel decisions easy. Results are all that matters and with brady they will win alot. -
Someone make the case against Dontrelle Inman for a 7th!
Mat68 replied to Lv-Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chicago's 7th would look better than ours. No way to know if Buffalo made an offer or not. Maybe LAC wouldn't trade him to us because we play them in 3 weeks. Its not like Inman is Randy Moss. LAC is not a juggernaut. Without their first rd pick WR he couldn't make it on the field. -
Schefter has trade ideas for Bills to make a playoff run

These trades have nothing to do with Buffalo's playoff hopes. -
I'm Surprised by Zay Jones' Slow Start
Mat68 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chemistry between a Qb and Wr is tricky. This is a very unique situation. He is thrown to a lot. I do not recall Watkins getting this kind of pass share. Now Taylor and Jones are still working on getting on the same page but without any in game production its still a little bizarre seeing the amount of passes going his way. Its a complete reckless speculation but Jones must be balling out in practice and looking good to where he is a large part of the game plan. For whatever reason he has not made the best of the situations but obviously Taylor has a lot of faith in him. -
If they give up yards but avoid the big plays and continue to make the turnovers I am OK with the Defense. Stop the run avoid the 30 plus yard passing plays and get a take away or 2 is a very good formula. For everything Tampa is their offense is explosive and Winston has now thrown for 300 in 4 striaght games. Carr and Oakland present similar problems but are more 1 dimensional. Against the good Qbs they are going to move the ball the defense has to make the plays when they are given the opportunities and hold them to as many Fgs as possible.

Hightower out for season

So if an average team doesn't beat them they are as good as they ever been? -
Raiders forum ... unexpected Bills respect
Mat68 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They have not played well going west coast to east coast @ 1pm. They are 2 and 16? Cold wet game vs a team playing very well at home that is running the ball and stopping the run fairs well for Buffalo. High flying offense may not do well considering the conditions. -

He is a big loss. He has been playing in the middle and edge depending on the situation. Their front 7 is poor. Teams can run on them and play keep away from Brady. -

They are in desperate need. Henderson and or mills. Pryor is a bit of a head case. Could be an interesting deep threat though for Taylor. Is quicker and fast than Matthews or Jones and has legit size. -
Is this sunday the biggest game in Buffalo in years?
Mat68 replied to SaviorPeterman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Happy to see the Bills creating a home field advantage like it used to be. The Pats are still a work in progress. ATL is in all sorts of trouble. I dont buy too much in that win. Their run game is still poor, and have had the benefit of 4th quarter leads. Buffalo will play them very tough at home. In the cold and bad weather I am curious to see how Brady holds up. -

Mat68 replied to SaviorPeterman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That is the way to look at it. Cold and wet game vs a team traveling west to east @ 1 pm should all lead to a win. Mccoy keeps running well, Taylor makes plays and the defense gets timely stops late all leads to a bills win by 10.
