  1. They have a few needs but overall good talent. The offense has been decimated the past 2 offseasons. They tried, with the Benjamin trade. That looks like a waste. I expect alot of money and picks being dumped into the offense. Will Daboll and McDermott be the one building it. Idk.
  2. The time Allen left the game he had more passing yards then Watson. I like Allen's competitiveness. Hes got the team competing and being competitive with the worst offensive talent in football.
  3. Buffalo has a solid core on Defense now. With the cap space and up coming draft I expect alot of that being used on the offense. In 2019 you are going to see wholesale changes to the offense.
  4. Buffalo invested alot in Allen. What has McDermott done to help him? It's crazy how he treated Edumonds and Allen completely opposite. Same draft, both traded up for. Both raw and freakishly athletic. The LB he plugs in immediately and groomed him to run his defense. The qb he put at 3rd string and never named him the starting Qb until his guy failed. No experienced Qb coach, no experience on the roster to help him. I firmly believe Pegula is watching Mahomes, Goff, and Trubisky, thinking if McDermott will ever facilitate that for Allen. McDermott's actions to me looks like a coach who was given a Qb he didn't really want.
  5. He is alot of ways similar to Allen. Allen is bigger, more athletic and has a stronger arm. It's nearly impossible to accurately evaluate Allen. Those that are doing so are not taking into account scheme, and his supporting cast. The second is apparent the first one is lost on many. Mcvay, Shannahan, Reid, and Mcdainiel design plays that beat defenses and coverages routinely. The Qb in most cases is throwing to the primary wr. Allen is not getting much of that. The plays he is making are on him. The mistakes have come down after GB. That was the ying to the Minnestota yang. I curious to see how he would handle that close game on the road down the stretch. Those 2 passes to Benjamin were perfectly placed. Hopefully, it's not serious. It's not been pretty, but nothing about the Bill's offensive roster is. Hes kinda just been winging it and still was able to beat 2 playoff teams.
  6. Not bringing in Anderson after TC. Blinding believing Nathan Peterman corrected his arm strength and awarding him the starting position. Allen should have been named the starter after the Cleveland. Injury settlement release Mccarron. Bring in Anderson. Give Peterman the 4th preseason game and cut him. They like him so bring him back on PS. The amount of time wasted on developing Peterman this year and not the first rd pick is and was completely foolish.
  7. He threw 2 40 yard dimes before the late hits. Here is the truth. Allen is not holding the offense back. He is the only thing holding it together. They have no one outside that creates separation. The game was setting up for the formaula for how Buffalo wins. Play good d. Run the ball and Allen makes a handful of plays. Buffalo has the slowest receiving corp and weapons in the NFL. What do you expect from a rookie? Hopefully, he isnt seriously hurt. Being on the feild is the best thing for him and the franchise.
  8. If Allen doesn't get hurt they are 3-3. Special teams cost the Bill's the game. The Nathan Peterman experiance should be over. I get it he is a nice guy but hes a terrible Qb.
  9. Nate Peterman should not be on the roster. Whenever Allen is physically able to play he should. He doesn't get hurt they win the game. He found his rythem made his best 2 plays back to back. The one to Benjamin was called back and the other was a perfect pass.
  10. Right but what was Anderson doing the previous 3 months? Why wait. After Cleveland it look obvious that Allen would give Buffalo the best chance to win. Double down on Allen then. Bring in Anderson give Allen the reps and precious time with the first team.
  11. This is where I give Bill Belichick alot of credit. He has been able to run the same offense with multiple Co Ordinators in his NE tenure. He had as much a hand in the growth of Brady as anyone. Seems most of the time HC with defensive backgrounds want an offense that supports his unit. Conservative, heavy run depended and their offense lack aggressivness and creativity.
  12. I would like to Allen and the offense resemble the one that played the first half at Minnesota. That game is the only one this year where Daboll got Allen in rythem early. It carried through out the game. The front 4 for Houston is ferocious. Get them going sideline to sideline with screens and quick passes early. Open up the middle of the field. This is one of those games Buffalo will need to get some completions early to move back the safties to better run the ball.
  13. The trading of McCoy is not as big of a deal as some are making it out to be. I expected this to be his final year in Buffalo. Now I would want one of their young backs in return. Smallwood or Clement and a 2nd or 3rd. It's a situation that came calling and one I would consider.
  14. In an Offensive league if Allen doesn't show progress and Buffalo flounders down the stretch it would be a possibility. Likely? Probably not but who saw John Fox, Lovie Smith, or Jeff Fisher being blown out for similar performances and outcomes?
  15. If the offense doesnt improve he could meet a similar fate.
  16. I agree with you. Imo they need to script getting Allen in rythem. They did it once this year @ Minn. It's not a surprise it was his best game.
  17. Get the ground game going and play defense. Allen doesnt need to throw it 40 times a game right now. Get him experiance. Anderson signing imo will help with the little things of the position. By years end I think Allen will silence most doubters.
  18. Speed. Buffalo needs to draft speed. Outside, inside everywhere.
  19. Look at Goff, look at Trubisky. Both played similar to what Allen has done and have both improved in year 2 with better weapons around them.
  20. A third a player. Maybe Clements or Smallwood and a 3rd.
  21. Play Allen. Not matter how ugly it looks keep pushing through. The weapons around him are non existent. Run the ball easy reads. Times will come up when Allen will need to let it rip.
  22. Look at Chicago last year to this year. I'm surprised it took so long to get here. Fullback, multiple Te sets and pound the rock. Buffalo cant win outside consistantly. The cant get vertical consistently.
  23. Replacing him with a street FA would be an incredible blunder. Buffalo needs Allen to mature. Only way that happens is by getting experiance. I would like to see an effort to get him in rythem. Easy reads easy throws on early downs. This year Buffalo is going to have to win ugly.
  24. Why wasnt this move done 8 weeks ago? The foresight with this team is alarming. Heck once McCarron was traded he should have been signed worst case. Having a veteran with a big arm who played at a pro bowl level, even though for just 1 season is valuable for a green player. I feel they were so high on Peterman it detracted from the larger picture and the development of the offense and Allen.
  25. But you have to have both. Bad strategy and good culture is meaningless. I'm glad they all like each other while they get blown out by halftime every week.
