Roster question: Who backs up Matt Barkley vs Titans??
njbuff replied to AmishRifle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We don’t know anything about anything yet until we get an official update on Allen. No use speculating until then. -
Maybe they can dust off Vince Ferragamo.

Have You Started To Lose Faith in Josh Allen?
njbuff replied to Phil The Thrill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I get why Bills fans are pushing the panic button with Allen. It's the "here we go again" syndrome with a young Bills QB, a.k.a., Manuel, Edwards and Losman. Allen did seem to turn the corner in the second half yesterday after a miserable first half, so there is that. The Bills might actually have a strong running game with Gore and the returning Singletary, so can Allen become a game manager for this team before he becomes a franchise QB? That is the big question now and one Daboll needs to find the answer to quickly. It's also the fact that we are living in an instant gratification society and if Allen isn't lighting the world on fire yesterday, he is a bust crowd. The difference between Allen and the other young Bills QB's of the past is that Allen is light years more talented. Will that be enough in the end? Only Allen can answer that. I will remain patient. Will you? -
Josh's foot work in the first qtr - Woof

Allen had a bad game, we all know it. Let's just move on. It's what he does with this bad game is what matters. Allen totally let BB and the Pats invade his head. This must NEVER happen again if the Bills ever hope to beat the Patriots as long as BB and Brady are there. It seemed like Allen was back at Wyoming where he had to do everything by himself and ignored everything that he has been taught as a pro. As bad as he looked in the first half, he was starting to turn the corner a little in the second half and the Bills might have pulled this game out if he remained in. Allen must learn from this. I don't wanna go down the road of Losman, Edwards and Manuel................... AGAIN. -
Depending on the outcome of tomorrows game...AJ Green

The 2020 draft is a very good for WR's. If WR is one of the few weaknesses this team has going into 2020, the Bills will have a lot going for them. No matter how this season plays out, the Bills will be in line to select a very good prospect at the WR position, regardless of draft position and if they decide to go WR in the first round, of course. That said, I am not trading a high draft choice in 2020 for a vet WR that will not guarantee the Bills anything in 2019. -
Why’s Allen not getting peterman like treatment?

For the love of God, make this insanity stop. -
Make the trade for Stephon Diggs

The Bills can easily go to the playoffs without adding a WR from the outside via trade. -
Make the trade for Stephon Diggs

The Bills tried trading for a WR in-season and it failed miserably in 2017 when they went after Kelvin Benjamin. Just roll with what you got for the rest of 2019. -
I get why you say this, but.......... Is this going to be the norm for Allen, meaning, after every bad game (or half) he needs to sit and watch and learn? When does he get past this?

I was mad in real time when it happened. If I can see wrongdoing with the naked eye, how can these officials not see what was happening? Take 3 points away from NE and the Bills probably win this game.
-
The Bills threatened to take the lead in the game on multiple occasions. You are a solid poster, but this take is just awful.

The D can't be perfect EVERY week. That is my point. When does the O start to gel and catch up to the D is the big question.

Josh Allen in concussion protocol: Update cleared 10/5
njbuff replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How does anyone who has a concussion be able to sprint into the locker room? Baffling to me. -
Will this team be ready for Tennessee, no matter who the starter is at QB?
-
I would like to agree with you, but they put in a big effort yesterday. Do they have anything left for Tennessee is my biggest question.
-
Just because they are 2-0 on the road to start doesn't mean they will end up 3-5 on the road for the season. I say enough with the excuses and go out there and dominate Tennessee.
-
I don't disagree, but what does this D have left after a massive performance yesterday? I can see this D laying an egg in Tennessee. If the Bills get drilled in Tennessee, we will have serious questions during the bye.
-
They have had plenty of "moral victory" losses to the Pats during this 20 year streak of embarrassment only to never be heard of the rest of any particular season after losing to those guys. Can they win in Tennessee with a "wounded" offense? I don't know. This team is historically awful on the road and if things are the same with this team, they will lay an egg in Tennessee no matter who the QB is. The Bills have talked a big game about being a different team this year. We shall see.
-
The Bills need to clean up their mistakes. It should have been expected when basically you have an entirely new starting lineup. However, the O needs to pick up its end of the bargain or it’ll be another playoff-less season for the Bills. The Browns are lucky to be in their division though as it looks like nobody is going to run away like NE is in the East.
-
Point is, we shouldn’t be burying teams too early. And it’s hard to believe that in week four of an NFL season that the Bills are the only team in the AFC with one loss in the L column. Weird
-
Just another case of throwing dirt on a teams grave way too early. They are now in first place.
-
I am just happy NE week is now over and we can get back to reality. Concentrate on beating Tennessee now.
