  1. That would be everything after Back in Black, which was a good album, but didn't need to be recycled a dozen times. That's why I voted for Bon Scott - all their albums with him were original. And I like his voice better.
  2. Favorite off-field Roscoe moment: the first time it snowed during his rookie year, he was afraid to go outside. A teammate had to pick him up at home and drive him to practice.
  3. Crack that whip Give the past the slip Step on a crack Break your momma's back When a problem comes along You must whip it Before the cream sits out too long You must whip it When something's going wrong You must whip it
  4. Apparently, she dumped him for cheating on her. She should have dumped him for sending that text.
  5. Went to see the captain, strangest I could find, Laid my proposition down, laid it on the line. I won't slave for beggar's pay, likewise gold and jewels, But I would slave to learn the way to sink your ship of fools. Ship of fools on a cruel sea, ship of fools sail away from me. It was later than I thought, when I first believed you, Now I cannot share your laughter, ship of fools.
  6. Depends. If you like real prog rock, then Gabriel. If you prefer bubble-gum pop, then it's Collins.
  7. I think he was referring to the "You're in good hands with Allstate" slogan.
  8. Andy Dalton. ? (Just kidding, but someone will make that claim anyway.)
  9. Michael Strahan is old player who played in New Jersey.
  10. I used to go to the Bills website just to get news about the team, since the local coverage is all NFC North. That's when I discovered BBMB - it was operated by the Bills' organization. I really didn't have a problem with the mods there, although there was one who seemed to have a double standard about insulting other posters. (I won't mention names, but it's NOT one of the two who now post over here.) I did get a minor infraction once, for posting a link to an Onion article about Fitz. (He was a Bill then.) The article (but not the link) had the F word in it, so I got a slap on the wrist. The mod who did it was cool about it, though.
  11. I didn't know this place existed until BBMB shut down. That's when I did a search for Buffalo Bills discussion forums, found several, checked them all out for a few days, and decided that TBD seemed to have the best quality. BBMB was good for a while, but in its last few years it went downhill. Maybe I didn't notice that until I came here and saw how much better TBD is. I'm glad some of the better BBMB posters came over too.
  12. He was stopped for speeding. If he had cocaine on the hood of his car, wouldn't that have blown away?
  13. Being away from WNY for 3 decades, I appreciate coming here to talk Bills football every day. Thanks to SDS for making it happen, and thanks to the good posters for keeping the quality high.
  14. My Dad served on a destroyer escort (a smaller, cheaper, more agile version of a destroyer) during WWII. They accompanied supply ships from the US to Europe. He told me that he was never engaged directly in battle, but after he died, Mom showed me his journal. In it, he described a day when his ship was docked in London while the harbor was being bombed. When the war in Europe ended, his ship was ordered back to port (NYC) for refurbishing before being redeployed to the Pacific. While on shore leave, he hopped a train, went back to his hometown, and married his high-school sweetheart. They high-tailed it back to NYC for a brief honeymoon before he shipped out again. Just before reaching the Panama Canal, Japan surrendered - VJ Day! A few weeks later, the ship returned to NYC and Dad was honorably discharged.
  15. She had sweethearts a-plenty, and men of high degree But none but Jack the sailor, her true love ever be Oh her true love ever be Jackie's gone a sailing, with trouble on his mind He's left his native country and his darling girl behind Oh his darling girl behind She went down to a tailor shop and dressed in man's array She climbed on board a vessel to convey herself away Oh convey herself away Before you get on board sir, your name we'd like to know She smiled on her countenance, they call me Jack-A-Roe Oh they call me Jack-A-Roe
  16. "Do you expect me to talk?" "No, Mr. Bond. I expect you to have 20/20 eyesight."
  17. Goose Island Honker's Ale and Sam Adams Boston Ale. Apparently, Boston Ale is brewed in limited editions, but only sold near Boston. Honker's is only available at the Goose Island brewpub in Chicago. Both are nicely balanced ales - not too malty and not too bitter. Medium bodied - drinkable all year long. With the IPA craze going on these days, it's hard to find a good, balanced beer that's not overly hopped or laced with exotic fruits.
  18. Acho, Acho man. I've got to be an Acho man.
