  1. He certainly had his ups and downs but he's still only making his 7th career start. That missed TD to Zay stands out and the final throw to Clay was a little underthrown but Clay should have caught that. Allen was fantastic in the 2nd half and was pretty much their entire offense. Imagine how he'll look with a year of experience and better receivers/o-line. I was skeptical when they drafted him but he's really shown great potential the past two weeks coming off an injury.
  2. Ristolainen needs to be stapled to the bench in OT. He's so timid in open space and took himself completely out of the play on that goal by going into the corner and falling over. Not to mention that turnover on the PP.
  3. Another counter point, they are two missed kicks away from beating both the Steelers AND the Saints (on the road). They have a great defense. As for Tyrod, the offense wasn't getting it done and Baker gave them a spark. Also, unlike us, they didn't have two lopsided losses on their ledger. I completely agree it's ridiculous CLE had the bigger jump than BUF. I think Cleveland winning was such a monumental moment (I mean, how can it not be?) that ESPN is overrating that win (by moving the Browns up 5 spots vs the Bills 2) vs the Bills beating the Vikings, the way more impressive win, which warrants a bigger jump than the Browns. Even though the Browns were within inches of winning their first two games. Was Baker the only reason? Hell no. He was one reason. That's a solid team.
  4. Yeah, that's pretty ridiculous. Beating the Vikes on the road is way more impressive than the Jets at home. Plus, Cleveland is just a better all around team. It should have been expected that they beat the Jets. They very well could be 3-0 right now.
  5. 1.) Defense in the 2nd Half after McD took over the playcalling. 2.) Allen. For his first game, with that offense, he played well. Made rookie mistakes but that's to be expected. Right now, we're projected to have $90 Million in cap space next offseason according to Spotrac and will have a high draft pick. The future is bright.
  6. I really think Virginia Tech can be a sleeper team too. Fuentes is an excellent coach (I was hoping WVU wouldn't renew Holgs' contract and hire Fuentes when he was at Memphis) and Jackson has a year of experience under his belt. If they do beat Miami like you said, then they'll win the Coastal and will just have to upset Clemson in the title game. The Atlantic will be a bear. NC State, who WVU plays Week 3 in Raleigh, will be a dangerous team. Florida State I envision having a bit of a transition year under Taggart's first season and Francois coming back from a serious knee injury. Another important Week 1 matchup for Va Tech. TCU has a tough schedule. Has to go on the road vs WVU and Texas, home vs Oklahoma and a non conference matchup vs. Ohio St. Them and Texas are definitely WVU's toughest competition for the #2 spot, but that schedule is daunting and WVU has Oklahoma and TCU in Morgantown. Should be a fun year!
  7. Who are your four teams to make it? And your sleeper team that can crash the party? Will it be another year with two SEC teams and another Clemson-Bama matchup? College football is only 16 days away. Let's hear from you! 1.) Bama 2.) Clemson 3.) Oklahoma 4.) Georgia Sleeper team: Homer pick, WVU. If they can beat Oklahoma in Morgantown then somehow beat them in the Big 12 Title game they could make it. This might be their best offense in history. I don't think OSU makes it.
  8. ? Yeah I immediately thought of him too. Him and Cowart were beasts for those three years in Wade's 3-4.
  9. Hahaha, yeah that's Orchard Park's own Ron Wolfley! Was also a fullback/Special Teamer for WVU and the Cardinals in the 80s. His brother, Craig, played at Syracuse and for the Steelers (I think he still does sideline reporting for their radio broadcast too). He does sound like he should be announcing WWE matches.
  10. It's crazy to see a place where I walked several times (Woodburn Circle at WVU) being based as a location in one of the biggest games of the year.
  11. They were published as Sporting News for like a decade. The Street & Smith name was revived last year. I just think that the second half of the season will pump up the Bills win total. Anywhere from 6-8 wins I see. Between the Jets and Bills offenses, the difference is Shady. Jets don't have a player of his caliber on that side of the ball. As for the defenses, so many great Jets have left, though Leonard Williams is still there but Bowles always has that unit playing tough. It's this thing made of a bunch of stapled together pages with words on them.
  12. That would be an epic retirement gift for Brady in that scenario. Could probably sit out those games and the Pats would still win.
  13. Thread title says it. I think this is more of a testament to their belief that the AFC East will be mediocre with the Bills and Jets breaking in rookie QBs and Tannehill coming back from a serious knee injury. Long story short: They don't have the Bills grabbing one of the Wild Cards (Titans and Chiefs) but say they could contend in 2019 when all the dead cap money comes off the books. Defense should be improved and a lot of questions on an offense which will be carried by Shady (as we all know). Just thought this was interesting when juxtaposed with all the other experts predicting 2-14 records and #1 overall picks.
  14. Him having a one on one with Jack Eichel. Why was he in the locker room?
  15. Jeremy McDaniel. I thought Moulds, Price and McDaniel would make a great trio. Obviously that didn't happen.
  16. This would be a great signing. An obvious upgrade over Tolbert. I still wouldn't be surprised if they drafted another RB in the 3rd (especially if they get another compensatory pick) or 4th, like Penny from San Diego State.
  17. Poutine is one that comes to mind. Barberian's on Elm St. in Toronto makes some of the best steaks I've ever had but obviously that's not a native Canadian food. Anyone else ever been there?
  18. WVU. Draft- Kyzir White, Safety. Probably the best of all the White brothers based on their respective WVU careers. Hard hitter who reminds me of Karl Joseph but not as polished. Pretty good in coverage. Don't draft- Justin Crawford, Running Back. Nothing against Crawford, because he was great at WVU, but I can think of roughly 15-20 other RBs I'd draft ahead of him. And although he rushed for 1,000 yards both years he started after JUCO, he battled nagging injuries those two seasons (which is why he avoided playing in WVU's bowl game).
  19. My favorite movie of all time is Goodfellas. Another is Once Upon a Time in America. Great performance.
  20. Not really getting this move but here's hoping it pans out.
  21. McDermott is already ahead of the curve when compared to Marrone. He lead a patchwork roster to a playoff appearance in his first season.
