Yeah, the Bills defense should be better by default with Rex gone and McDermott in there. A lot of it depends on how the younger guys (Lawson, Ragland) develop and shoring up that secondary further, which was McDermott's specialty in Carolina. There's a good bit of talent on offense too but Sammy desperately needs help. It'll be between a DB and a receiver come draft time. As of now but the Titans will shore that up with two 1st round picks including #5. They're gonna snag Adams.

Oh yeah, that's right Graham was cut. I had assumed he would move to back to corner with Hyde being signed. And he's been injured so often I've almost forgotten about him.

Yeah all those WRs come to mind. Price, Evans etc. Obviously those have nothing to do with Whaley. Except Hogan, but he has the luxury that is Tom Brady.

Absolutely my thoughts. I have also wondered why Whaley loves drafting players from the warm weather schools of the ACC and SEC to play in freaking Buffalo. I think the weight of this 17 year playoff drought is on his mind. The first question is always "How can we end the drought THIS year?"

Here's my personal (and recent) story on my "interaction" or, better yet, lack there of an interaction with Russ Brandon: Last year, I finished my graduate school coursework in Sport Management and needed an internship to earn my Master's. As luck would have it, through a family member, I was put in contact with a former Bills scout who knew Russ Brandon personally (since he first started with the team in the late 90s). I was put in contact with the scout and he said he would let Brandon know my situation, give him my contact information and see if I could get an internship- an unpaid internship, mind you- with the team. No response. Not even an e-mail saying "Sorry, there are no internships available with either the Bills or any other PSE property." I let the scout know that months had passed with no response and he said "I guess I didn't know Russ like I thought I did." I'm not bitter or anything, that's just the experience I've had with him. I can't definitively make a statement on him as a person since I've never met him personally. But he should definitely stay away from football decisions!

The Patriots are reminding me of those NBA super teams that completely destroy the competitiveness of the regular season (can we just skip to the Cavs/Warriors finals now?). I wonder if Seattle or some other NFC team will load up and turn the NFL into a two team league like the NBA.

Honestly can't blame him. Sure it sucks that he went to the Pats, but he wants to win, and there's no other team better at that.
