  1. Agreed ,this year with Allen is all trial and error and any experience is good. Next year though he has to show true progress with hopefully improved weapons/line and the offense needs to be more in the middle.
  2. You mean like last year when they lost to the Phins on MNF after putting up 41 33 35 and 23? Not saying at all its happening my money is full NE but the past games have zero impact on present outcome nor do they guarantee what should happen.
  3. Sooo 20-3 again is what your saying haha Your thinking of 2009, 2015 was the last time we played them on MNF I actually considered and at one point wanted to go to this. Thankfully ticket prices scared me off in July and then the season started cementing no reason to attend this at all.
  4. This will not happen. Whether people want to admit or not the biggest issue the Bills have had is lack of congruity. The plan in the owners eyes is at minimum 4 years if not 5. When you turnover coaching and football operations that much it wrecks everything. It will look like this: 2017 Year 1 Analysis: McBeane sees their roster both good and bad tries building culture team lucks a bit into the playoffs 9-8 2018 Year 2 Teardown: Full blown tear down while finishing the defense for what it needs to try and be somewhat competitive in games. Goal is to reset everything from cap to draft picks while adding a QB you hope to be franchise. 4-12 maybe 5-11 because they have a habit at home of winning games they shouldn't 2019 Year 3 New Base Sets: Next year they should add a lot to the offense and Allen hopefully takes a step up to be competent where he at least isn't a problem even if he isn't the full solution yet. They need to be 8 wins minimum and be at least on the door step of the playoffs if not in 2020 Year 4 Contend: At this point Brady should be gone dead or aged and the team should be curated into the group they want. Division title and 11-5 I would expect to be their bar at that point. Anything less and McD will come under fire. The earliest I think you see any chance McD is gone is the end of 2020 if they are not in the playoffs. Even then I really think the Pegula's have backed away from massive changes routinely and have moved into more of a long term patient approach. Additionally if McD has the team right on the cusp in 2020 even if he misses I still think he is safe for two more years. He does have a playoff birth under his belt regardless of how it happens and how people want to discredit him. That will matter to the ownership.
  5. There is no final straw I love watching regardless of product. BUT yesterday we were all cheering for Peterman to go in after Anderson's 2nd INT to see how much worse it could get and on the 3rd INT we were all pulling for the Colts to get a TD. Yea I've hit that point of just lose for draft reasons and if they win its like a nice surprise.
  6. I give you kudos for admitting it. In the time leading up to the season I predict the Bills 6-10 and said they'd miss Taylor just because he was at least safe with the ball. People ridiculed and ripped it thinking it couldn't get worse. Well it can. Remember Taylor at QB they probably beat the Texans and yesterday its more like a 20-5 loss. I had no issue with the Bills wanting to be aggressive at QB and going for Allen it was frankly refreshing. I maybe would've kept Taylor for Allen to sit behind but I understood their logic. Whats annoying is people jumping off the deep end with Beane and McD. Don't get me wrong they deserve criticism and justly for the teams performance. I have said Beane failed by not being more aggressive for a WR this offseason or bringing in a more established vet at QB. McD's love affair with Peterman has hurt them twice. But the long view is the team needed a true reset. 95% of the time reset's where you move out bad money and restock hurt like hell. The defense is a good unit and set for a good number of years. The offense is going to be a work in progress and you may not see what its suppose to truly be until 2020. They should be playoff competitive next season anything less and yea bring the torches to put the pressure on.
  7. There is legitimate pressure on IND to win after a bunch of close loses and then the Jets loss. On the other hand the Bills are a hot mess with a great D SOO: 24-10 Colts Defense keeps it close until late Luck gets a late TD to distance IND. Offense is marginally better but not much leaving a lot of opportunities out there. Anderson: 202 yds 13-21 McCoy: 95 yds 1 TD WR: Benjamin 85 yds 6 rec
  8. Your stories would actually be quite fun to hear in an open setting. My uncle went to games at War as a kid and his seat was half blocked by a support beam but his dad got a good deal. He said the players knew if the game got bad the fans would throw bottles at them. Pretty funny stuff.
  9. I would love to draft Top 3, but mark my words they win somewhere between 4-6 games and force us to the fringe of top 10 or just in.
  10. It's not so much JAX isn't viable its that London is farrrr more $. Think St. Louis vs LA when that happened. St. Louis had agreed to a brand new beautiful waterfront stadium and the NFL/Rams still said no preferring a privately funded LA stadium because the $ implications were far greater. Market loyalty is a fallacy in the NFL it is simply about the $ and maximizing it.
  11. Too bad we don't wear all blue and they wear all red. I can guarantee neither team would have issue seeing whose on whose team. Serious question how old were you when you started watching? Typically people will hearken for what they grew up with and as a 90s kid myself I certainly liked the red helmets and look a ton its why my main jersey now is a Kelly 90s style one. That said I actually think their current look is the best and offers a lot of different combos to work with along with the throwback AFL unis. I know a lot of my older family who grew up with the standing Buffalo prefers that for instance.
  12. Oh I hear you and someone mentioned the Bills will probably beat JAX or CHI if not both because they have a habit of doing so. My layout was just most logical/probable if they end up making a run. Bills schedule is rated 30th SOS wise. ESPN's power rankings broke down each teams SOS.
  13. The point of this is not what I think will happen IE why I said at the top I see them winning 4-6 games. The point is what the most probable path is IF it actually happens.
  14. Remember KC/LAC CIN/BAL all have to play each other and the schedule will balance out some W/Ls as we go.
  15. OK before you comment and tell me that there is no way they make the playoffs they suck etc... I got it. I think they win somewhere between 4-6 games so I am not saying they make it. BUT the path truthfully looks something like this if they want to have a real shot: Wk 6 Win at Texans Watson doesn't play Wk 7 Win at Colts Luck is held in by our D and still shaky Wk 10 Win at Jets Wk 13 Win at Miami Wk 14 Win vs Jets Wk 15 Win vs Detroit Wk 17 Win vs Miami This would give them a 9-7 record and 7-5 conference record. Given how bad the AFC is that would keep them in the hunt. If they somehow could get to 10 wins and pickup a win specifically against the Jags which would boost their conference record to 8-4 things would be solid. Realistically those are the games they have probably the best chance to take at this point no one is predicting wins against NE and CHI/JAX look pretty formidable at this point.
  16. Here's a guy ladies and gentleman who has the prediction game down 100%. Seriously def can see this happening
  17. Houston: 20 Buffalo: 14 Allen- 235 yds 15-28 1 TD McCoy- 110 yds 1 TD WR- Who cares at this point lol Bills play the Texans tight but Allen can't lead his second comeback and Bills lose on downs at the end.
  18. In general terms yes I think a lot of fans actually wouldn't disagree with you and are fine with: -Drafting a touted QB and were aggressive doing so something they really have failed at for years -Cleaning cap space for the future -Building through the draft which has shown some early dividends already in the last two years with guys like White, Milano, Edmunds, T Johnson, Dawkins, and Phillips. Allen is a project so no use grading him short term he is boom or bust like many rookies early -Culture and continuity which is something we lacked forever from the top down -The hiring of Dabol who with the All-22 tape has actually shown so really well thought out formations and schemes. Not his fault if the pieces/talent fail at point he is working with what he has. -A transition season where record wise we slip down to 4-7 wins because the team is changing for the long term So everything above most Bills fans really had no issue with this its sound in theory. The problem and outrage is in the following: -The lack of any form of a competitive offense because the GM prioritized the defense so heavily in FA and draft. There are a list of WR/OL who that 5 million for V. Davis would've been far more worth spending on instead -The utter refusal to bring in any QB worth a dime so Allen could've waited like they wanted and instead the forcing of Peterman who showed he wasn't ready. Teddy Bridgewater would've been a perfect one year option so Allen was not rushed, yet like WR/OL they did nothing -The lack of touches to the offenses best player McCoy as a whole -The fact they run the offense likes its 1990 football not 2018. You realize 300 yards is nothing these days yet for the Bills its still a major goal -The fact every WR move Beane has made has only made the WR corps worse. Dumped Sammy, Zay Jones is a bust with a ton of players at WR in that draft like Cooper Kupp available, Benjamin sucks, Boldin retired because he didn't want to be here, Kerley was signed and let go etc.. They looked at Allen and said best of luck and threw him to the wolves with nothing to go with. -The fact the opener the entire team looked so uninspired/unprepared and proceeded that by spotting LA 28 to open at home. -The additions of Davis and Muprhy have not panned out in any fashion so its wasted money that again could've and should've been used on the offense. -The fact that in a league so driven now by innovation and strategy our coach just said he picks culture over strategy. So yea in the general scope things are probably on path, but when you dive down more the honeymoon is over given there are some legitimate questions to ask now and some true skepticism that has developed. They did get delivered an awful schedule to start and I wouldn't be surprised if they are competitive for the rest of the games now and finish with even as many as 6 wins which would cool some pressure. But the organization has done themselves no favors about their decision making on quite a few areas and we have all seen that before and where it heads. Perhaps McBeane is different and patience is needed either way, but the smart moves that were panned in year 1 have transition to many questionable ones in year 2.
  19. Yea I think with some small updates it actually could be a cool alternate from time to time.
  20. So a lot of miscommunication on helmets here so goes like this: 1960 silver helmets with numbers 1962 switch to white with standing buffalo which see's helmet add minor stripping changes but otherwise the same through 1973 1974 the current rushing buffalo logo is added 1984 helmet color is changed from white to red to help Bills QB Joe Ferguson differentiate between the rest of the divisional opponents which all wore white 2002 helmet receives minor stripping changes as uniforms change to navy. Also Bills propose a new alternate logo which is rejected due to fan backlash (look up 2002 bills proposed logo you can't miss it) 2005-2011 The Bills use throwback uniforms bringing back the standing buffalo and royal blue jerseys. 2011 Bills go back to their classic royal blue look with a white helmet and charging buffalo. 2013 NFL releases one shell rule. Per this rule NFL players are only allowed one helmet which is inspected and cleared by the NFL. Because of this rule and the work needed to alter helmets to other colors it basically eliminates classic favorites like Pat the Patriot, Eagles Kelly Green, Bucs Creamsicle, & Bills Red helmet. Because the Bills are currently able to just swap decals and stickers they are in a pretty strong place uniform wise minus the red helmet. 21. Fire Allen, Fire McD, Fire Beane, Fire Benjamin, Fire Peterman, Fireball, Fire New Era Field, Fire Billy The Buffalo, Fire The Marching Band, Fire Chris Brown, Fire The Goal Posts, FIRE EVERYTHING.... and then reclone Jim Kelly
  22. 21-10 Titans in a close not high scoring nor exciting game with the Titans scoring late to make the score look bigger. Allen 20-37 235 yds 1 TD 1 INT McCoy 65 yds Clay 5 rec 78 yds Jesus I'm going to the game and if this is the final there isn't enough alcohol to make the game watchable.
  23. I thought this was a 4-5 win team so truthfully its on schedule. Positives: Defense- Looks about as expected after the first 6 quarters disaster. They seem to have a solid core in the works with Milano, Edmunds, White, Poyer, Hyde, T. Johnson, and Phillips. Add a good pass rusher or two and the defense could be scary. Dabol- The tape has showed he has tried his best to scheme with a ball of yarn and not much else. The all 22 tape shows so real creativity we just don't have the parts or QB to execute it. Negatives: Offense- The Bills seem so content being a offense from the 1970's with the talent they have it blows my mind. Every piece of the offense outside of Dawkins and maybe Ducasse is a train wreck. McCoy can't run, we never can pass for any true yards, there are no WR's, etc.. its awful Allen- The kid is in a no win situation with no much to work with. They should've brought in a vet like Keenum or Bridgewater to start so he can learn because he is making the same mistakes as college and against GB single handily held everything back with his play. Obviously he is a long term project and like I said he has nothing to work with WR wise, but he is as boom or bust as they have said with not enough boom and no consistency to really see. Beane- It's great to have cap and picks to work with but you have to have something to build to add to. The offense has literally nothing minus two o-line man. Beane could've been a bit more aggressive to add a WR and an O-line man so things were more stable plus a true veteran QB. FA Signings/Trades- Davis money could've been used towards the offense, Star has been a disappointment, and in general outside of Hyde/Poyer they really haven't had much success adding players like Jordan Matthews or Benjamin. Overall Plan- I liked that they wanted to draft a QB finally, BUT then a guy that needed time was thrown to the wolves with no support. We will truthfully learn not much this year to judge Allen because we need to see him with weapons and support. It's a growing year in a sense but a wasted one that we have to pass the buck another year or two more to see if he is real. If he isn't for real we wasted time we could've got a replacement. Perhaps Beane's plan to hit ground zero with cap will work long term, but the team has become a joke nationally for how they approached everything at QB and offense.
