That's why I think we need a shifty guy that can make moves in a phone booth. They are hard to find but that would be a perfect compliment to defenses trying to take away the deep ball. Of course a running game helps too.

Many people have the Pats better than the Bills. We are favored by 3.5 at home meaning Vegas essentially sees this as a toss up.

Yes but he's not a big YAC guy even with healthy. He's not a guy who is going to out run anyone once the ball is in his hands or a guy to shake someone is small spaces and getting huge yards. He sits on a zone, gets open and gets a few yards after the catch. He's not a guy that has a threat of taking a 5 yard slant for 30. He's very good at getting open and moving the chains....we need him too.

Is Mongo struggling at LG too? I noticed at RG, he was getting pushed back consistently. From what I understand, the LG doesn't face as much single match ups and they're up against the 3 tech?

I think with Dawkins - Feliciano - Morse - Williams - Brown we can get by. Not good, but adequate enough to let Josh make some plays. I definitely think we are signing at least 1 starting interior lineman and drafting 2 on day 2 in the offseason. I think what we are missing on offense yac WR. If we have teams playing us 2 deep, we need someone who can create plays underneath. Get a quick guy with some wiggle. Beasley gets open but not dangerous after the catch. If your hair is thinning that much...why don't you just shave it?

Can NE get to the QB with just a 4 man rush consistently? That's my concern.

Here's the bottom line. He's had a sub 4.0 ypc in his career. He was on a team loaded with offensive talent and the best QB of all time....he was about to get cut. Teams aren't focusing on stopping the run when they play Brady, Gronk, Evans, Brown and Godwin. That would have been the 2nd time being cut in 2 seasons. Even Tampa thought he wasn't good enough and luckily covid hit the lockerroom. He signs a 1 year a little over $3 million dollar contract. You know who gets that type of money? Washed up RB's like Frank Gore and LeSean McCoy...that's about what they signed for. Christian McCaffrey gets cut after this year, do you think he signs that type of contract? No, McCaffrey even with his injuries would still be more valuable than Fournette....significantly. You don't know if the Bills went after him or not, they are buttoned up. Even if they didn't, there shouldn't be any criticism for a RB whose production was below average.

I don't know at this point. We need Star back for sure though.
