Anyone who was a fantasy star at some point will get this response, especially WR's. The main difference between the Bills and Pats is Belicheck and Brady, not a guy they brought in for a look. If you look at how Buffalo is managing their roster right now, it is more "Pats like" than ever. A lot of one year deals, cheaper, lesser known guys who are hungry. They are not unwilling to move on from people, etc. Other than that the two teams are in opposite stages of life. The Pats are looking for plug in guys to help win an SB while the Bills are looking for core talent to build around.

I remember this. In one of the week prior to this game against Denver, Levy pulled the Bruce and others when they were getting shellacked. Bruce complained about it in the Buffalo News. Then this happened. The following week against the Raiders something similar happened. This is when that "team" found its magic if you ask me.

I dont get why fans get upset when players hold out. When you outperform your contract or underperform your contract things happen. You are forced to take a pay cut or get cut, or you demand more money or sit out. The reality is that contracts are NOT written in stone. Players should get all they can while they can. Teams should put the best team out there at all times, its business.

The Falcons were in a situation where they were faced with bad decision A (make the star happy and set a bad precendent) or bad decision B (Julio sits out and is a distraction/hurts football team on the field). They chose A, you can pass judgement on that I guess but I don't think it shows weakness. Rather it shows they balanced out the options differently. EVERY situation with a star player is different and there is no one size fits all answer. If some other good but not great player tries this with the Falcons, they may very well just have him sit out.
