  1. ok, can you inform Beane and the Saints? I am pretty sure you dont know what Andrew Brandt means when he said that.
  2. Cause next years cap matters too. How much money do you want in next years cap for guys not on the team?
  3. Next year is the only year on the co tract so there ar eno years to average that down. Other than void years which they have already done. Void years is dead money that counts in the future for a guy you have today.
  4. That was 23 the chart i posted was for 22. I just think the injuries are overblown. Because tte white was injured we end up with a hetter player. Lineal Joseph helped fill the void at dr before jones came back. Milano was a huge loss. But when someone throws around “epidemic” when it is not true it needs to be questioned. The offense was super healthy last year, priobably as good as you could hope as you spelled out.
  5. confirmed another case of someones gut feeling/ excuses with no useful factual information. For instance, for 2022 when the Bills were supposedly had an epidemic of injuries (your words)...the Bills were actually had among the least games lost due to injury. https://twitter.com/ManGamesLostNFL/status/1613667261696319489/photo/1
  6. I believe there will be changes to schedules in future years for extreme hot and cold weather. Some will complain that it shows a weakening of the populous but public policy and group think changes things over time, it is just how it is.
  7. They're you go again.
  8. Can you post some data that backs this up? I believe this to be a completely false statement.
  9. So Dawkins is currently 15th in AAV at $14.575M. Next year is his last on his current deal. What do people see for his extension, years, guaranteed and AAV? I think his agent will be looking to get him to top 5 given his string of Pro Bowl's, that would put him around $20M AAV. Unless he is willing to sign for something closer to where he is now, I am not doing a new deal with him but he is tough, he has missed one game in 7 years but you dont pay for the past, you pay for the future. What are people willing to sign up for? I think I would let this year play out unless he was willing to take less than he is reasonably able to demand. https://overthecap.com/position/left-tackle
  10. So no extension for Douglass, do you guys think that is what the Bill wanted, what Douglass wanted? I assume they tried an extension but could not agree on numbers so they reduced his cap by adding void years. I was hoping for an extension guess. Also, can someone explain his void money, same thing existed with Leanard Floyd. SPotrac has restructure bonus as 0.812.5M for the next three years but a cap hit of all of that, 2.4375M next year. I think if he is not signed longer term, they take the entire void hit next year? I don't understand why they show additional void money in 26 and 27. I am nearly positive it is not all additive. Is that to average down the salary to bonus conversion or something? https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/rasul-douglas-21841/
  11. I think Jones and Lawson will be back. Jones may not get what he wants but maybe will get a 2 year deal, I can see another 1 year deal for Lawson.
  12. Is he bad for cultuer if Jeff Duncan is in fact a hoe?
  13. This has some information but not everything. Guess it doesn't really matter. Anyway, his base is cut from $17.5 million to $8.855 which saves 8.645 on the cap...that is not guarantees that is cap. His guarantee for 2024 was 10.71M. What is it now? Also, some of that Here is another nugget online ". They moved more cap into the future by converting some of that compensation into a bonus and prorating it, but the details of that remain unclear." So some of the cap decrease is not just a paycut, I contend the paycut is not that signficant, they are giving him the opportunity to make it all up and then some, so it was a trade off of guarantees for a high ceiling for Von. The restructure saved a lot of cap, did not reduce his guarantees a "TON". They accomplished this by some traditional restructure....converting salary to bonus and prorating it and some by a change in the guarantees for 24 with the NLTBE incentives. Over the cap mentions the details are not out "Miller accepted a pay cut in 2024 reducing his salary from $17.5 million to $8.885 million per ESPN's Field Yates. We have updated his contract figures for 2024 based on a handful of reports about the pay reduction and will update further when we receive more information on the contract." Anyway, the cap reduction is what people care about but tit is not being as widely reported that they did bonus proration which is not great for his situation. According to multiple reports, the Bills and linebacker Von Miller agreed to terms on a contract restructure. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Miller's 2024 base salary of $17.145 million was lowered to $8.5 million. Additionally, there are "reachable incentives" that can get him back to earning $17.145 million and additional, higher incentives to bring him nearly $20 million. https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2024/3/7/24093419/von-miller-updated-2024-contract-details-with-incentives-explained https://fansided.com/posts/bills-continue-free-up-cap-space-restructuring-von-miller-contract-01hrb563tgtt
  14. That is cap savings not guarantees. Big difference.
  15. Do you know the specifics or where I can see that? How much is a ton? I am interested in the before and after.
  16. What are the details of what he did? I read he gave up 2M in guarantees but can earn that back and then some based on incentives? So he gave the bills some downside protection but he got some upside.
  17. Does anyone know if their are implications since he is injured? During training camp I often hear about how you cannot waive an injured player. Is that different in the offseason? I have to assume he is not yet cleared.
  18. For tomorrow can we cover "our" vs "are"?
  19. As a True Bills fan, my feelings are better than yours
  20. Over Morse, Poyer and White? White has not been available for years, Poyer was showing his age. Morse is a hit but something that can be absorbed. I totally disagree, this is retooling and will not impact overall results expectation very much.
  21. Or people don't know how to correctly interpret what they guy who used to do the job tell you.
  22. Seems like he will get paid handsomly..........somewhere else
