  1. I would have voted "brawl' in this situation. If that was not enough to warrant a brawl then NFL players should never ever fight.
  2. I'd say all the moves are wrong except the Benjamin trade. And not retaining overpaid non tackling 3 or 4 good games a year Gilmore. Watkins(low cost)and Goodwin(low cost)are the pieces the WR corp misses most. Woods is 1000% better then Matthews. Seymour would be starting. Dareous would be healthy now and plugging the sieve middle of what now loosely is called run defense. Ragland would be a two down run stopping force again for what Bills completely suck at now. Darby would be a low cost fine back up, spot starter, nickel back, better than anyone not named White or Gaines.(Gaines was odd man out in LA and could have been had for a 6th) Bradham better than any current Bills LB except maybe Milano. Gillesse would have been the 2nd best RB on Bills. JWill, see Gillessse. Lee on practice squad would have been a force Bills lack right now. DiMarco is not a good NFL player. Tolbert is the worst 2nd string RB 3rd down RB in NFL.....how can coaches think he is anything other than a situational FB? Milano should be starting. Peterman start was too soon.(I give credit it was a ballsy measured risk to see if anyone can score with this putrid offense) You are delusional if you think all the moves where spot on. Many who think that way think all the traded dropped players were all cancers in the locker room. None of that can be confirmed from any reputable source. They replaced good young talent and now have one of the oldest rosters in NFL. That is not how you do a rebuild.
  3. Pegs did offer him a 5 yr extension and was advised by Marrone he would get back to him . Pegs thought it was a done deal. Next day he resigned. Pegs was blindsided. Marrone never requested changes to make his stay in Buffalo palatable for him. Marrone was never happy in Buffalo. He needed to go.
  4. True....but he also proved you needed to be Drew Brees to play in NFL and they are not readily available.
  5. Yeah. Sammy is worth 7 to 9 mill a year like R Woods and he will want and likely get money like Jeffery got.
  6. Dam history. The hubris of it always repeating itself. Go figure. I bet you hate just like I do the live remotes of local TV reporters on site every late fall/early winter at local hardware stores talking about how snow shovels and ice melt are flying off shelves as the first winter snow arrives. Also the annual reminder to change smoke alarm batteries when clocks change to daylight savings and back. I never got that one. I just wait for alarm to beep and change them then. That beep is there for a reason to let you know now is the time.
  7. He is right handed. He broke the right clavicle.
  8. No Clay's was not worse. It did not come at a time game was in doubt and Bills had a chance. It also was not a pick 6 of a rookies first start and first INT on first drive and he looked good up to that INT. So completely apples to oranges. SD game was different in every way from a standard Bills game with screw-ups. Because McDermott went for it and stakes were high and it failed. Other examples of Bills screw ups that stick in my head: Tuell 99 yard pick 6 when S Johnson was wide open in end zone. That is all I can remember from that Chiefs give away game. Then another giveaway game vs Chiefs when Bryce Brown was going in for TD and fumbled out of end zone when Scott Chandler had the ball bounce right up to his hips in front of him and could not hold it. Dumb dumb dumb.
  9. Well then you will be wrong. The first thing I think about every time I think about that demoralizing sad debacle is DiMarco playing volleyball. It will never ever change. That error caused the ball to roll on that day. I don't forgive him ever. 2nd is how the non calls caused more INT's. 3rd is the ballsy move I like from McDermott making the change. That is probably why I don't think of the 5 int's first as I thought it was a good try to try and spark the O. Of course in retrospect He and I were wrong. Trust me in the very far future when I am with Bills fans and they start talking about this Peterman game and the 5 int's I will be speaking up immediately how DiMarco was a putz. I can't get that perfectly thrown screen pass volleyball out of my head, it was going for some yardage and likely put Bills in FG range or possibly the drive was going for a TD. I have tried and it is stuck. Like !@#$ing groundhog day. That screw up changed the game and it was not coming back. I would inactivate DiMarco right now if I could. You are not wrong. Everyone with a memory knows it was reviewed.
  10. He actually made both.
  11. Except he did not fumble per the rules. He was hit, went down with both his knees on ground down like he was praying, before he lost the ball as he appeared to be concussed. BS call that cost Bills one last home playoff win from the Kelly era. Yes. I will clearly remember DiMarco playing beach volleyball as why this game went sideways fast. Also the no call on hands to Petermans face facemask that caused another pick.
  12. correct me if I am wrong....but don't the Bills usually go 3 and out when they get ball first in 2nd half?
  13. You got it with the CG. I of course not strong enough and now too old to do it. My frame stays down. I can not straighten up and just go forward. My 10 yr old son can do it. Not as dramatic as Jones as my son stumbles just a little forward but he can do it.(son does a lot of push ups and planks daily so has core strength)
  14. You need to watch the WGR post game call in show if you want a hard Tyrod supporter moderator.
  15. He was the best KC player on the field yesterday. He doesn't play every down but he clearly makes KC better and devalues the 1st rounder KC gave Bills last year. If he was playing anything close to like that right now with Bills they could have traded him in off season for a much higher pick in 2018 draft, instead they have nothing but a 4th in 2019 to show for him. Or they could have kept him since run D is bad for Bills right now. Stupid stupid trade. Another in a long line of bad trades Beano did.
  16. Get CJ Spiller in here ASAP for Kick return duties. Instant upgrade.
  17. Is Clay better? compared to the slowest return man in NFL in Brandon Tate?......SMH.
  18. I am still going to hope for the hammy twinge......lol
  19. Agreed. I would inactivate Glenn and Benjamin and rest everyone else with a bruise or headache and start Webb at QB. I would play Tolbert whether he is healed or not hoping he twings that hammy a little more as the b/u RB's are playing good like b/u RB's so no reason to have Tolbert healthy to then let the coaches put him in to muck that up after Pats game. Losing this way to the Cheats is a way to win now and win for the future.
  20. You make an excellent point. By Kelly going to USFL he developed better and was not subject to the pounding he would have received with the bad Bills teams at the time. Bills also bottomed out record wise and so had high draft picks to get the Super Bowl players. Luck man. You can't generate your own like that.
  21. An energizer bunny with no batteries would be a good backup on Bills. Compared to what they had previously this year. This coaching staff has some weird mental block going on evaluating the back up RB position. When career journeyman like Cadet and Taiwan Jones look good in comparison to the undersized slow WW1 tank that is M Tolbert, is all you need to know about the b/u RB position in Buffalo. To think they could have had McCoy, Gillisee, JWill, Tolbert(after bulking up a little so he can actually play FB and get a 3rd and 1), Dimarco(on bench unless Bills are putting together a beach volleyball team), and maybe Jordan Johnson (UB) and Cadet on practice squad.
  22. It starts with "ONE".......one QB. Until you have that nothing else matters. If line really sucks you play the second string guy for parts of games to take the beating off the clear franchise #1 guy. Think outside the box.
  23. In my post with the playoff team roster. WE are assuming Bills still get Shady as Chip Kelly called Bills and wanted a draft pick. Bills said look at roster and pick any player instead. They picked Alonso. Bill could have given the pick or a diff player. I think they still would have made a deal.
  24. I get the yearning for programs with no bowl history wanting to get to a bowl. (I know it is a fun vacation for the players. I am just thinking from a fan perspective since this is a fan site, not a players site) however for teams like high level IOWA and others who routinely go to lower bowls and lose it is a let down that fans don't get up for as much anymore. Some programs even turn down invitations to lower bowls.
  25. Plenty are good. No Jason Peters as they got Wood for him Glenn, Levitre, Wood, Incognito, Dawkins, Clay, O'Leary, Logan b/u's Groy, C Kujo, Miller,........Watkins, Benjamin, Woods, Goodwin, Zay Jones, Hogan, Holmes, D Thompson, Salas, Taylor b/u EJ and Peterman. Shady, M Lynch, JWill, Gillesee, Dimarco or Tolbert as FB. Hughes, K Williams, MDareous, Lawson, Alan Branch, A Washington, Alex Carrington, Paul Pozluzney, Milano, Ragland, N Bradham, Alonzo-( I am assuming Shady would have still been had for draft pick Chip Kelly requested or a different player than Alonzo)........... b/u's Zach Brown, Preston Brown, Alexander, Humber, Darby, Gilmore, Seymour, Cockrel, N Robey-Coleman, Tre White, EJ Gaines(who could have been traded for for low pick) Poyer, Hyde, Searcy, Hauska, Schmit and a long snapper, That my friends is a perennial playoff team. Especially with Lynn as OC and Schwartz as DC. Some of the guys would be beat out by others on the same positon and some of those cuts would have been tradable. I would take above roster over any Bills roster since the Super Bowl years.
