They need to teach these athletic QB's to make small movements in the pocket to buy time like Brady does. They need to run as an absolute last option to take advantage of the rules that protect QB's in the pocket. If Watson does this he could become a great QB, if he doesn't I think injuries will kill his career. He is a good enough passer to throw from the pocket and kill defense's with his arm. I was hoping with Rex Ryan's Clemson connections that Watson would be a Buffalo Bill right now but Rex and Whaley are horrid evaluators of QB talent. If we had Watson right now their would be no need to trade up and we would be coping the blueprint the Seahawks used to make a run. The Biggest difference between Watson and Taylor/Jackson are that when they spy him with a FS or LB Watson see's it and makes them pay for it with his arm. If Watson can limit running and just avoid contact at all cost I think he could be a clone of Aaron Rodgers. Watson is my prime target in FFL this year.

If Mayfield is there at 4 I we need to make Cleveland a offer that they can't refuse.

Zay Jones right now is a bust

It used to take WR 3 years before they start to put up good numbers. Their are some all time great WR's that disprove this but most WR's need 3 years. -
Good arm strength, good accuracy, great field vision and anticipation. Mayfield is the QB from this draft that will be the super star QB.

Why Didn't The Giants Test Beckham?

I can understand why the Giants didn't but the NFL should've been at his door the next day. -
Rams trying to trade for OBJ per NYDN
Call_Of_Ktulu replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought Landry and Gordon would kill TT for a 140 yard passing day, you add OBJ to that group and TT is a dead man. You will have 3 diva WR's who want targets and a QB who doesn't pull the trigger until the play is broken down or you are wide open. I will have my popcorn ready for this one. -
I get the feeling that these teams are using the Bills wanting to moving up to drive up prices and get teams to overpay. The Jets overpaid to get the Colts pick because Buffalo wanted it and now Cleveland is no doubt using news that Buffalo is trying to trade for Darnold to get the Giants to move up and take him. I feel used.

What would you think if the Bills got. . .

Jackson at 12 would make me drink a bottle of Jack and barf 8 times. -
Browns Sign QB Drew Stanton to a 2-Year Deal
Call_Of_Ktulu replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
LOL!!!!!! They must've had a practice session with Taylor and thought holy **** what did we do. I'm starting to think more and more that Barkley will be the 1st pick in the draft and the Giant take Chubb leaving the Jets with the 1st QB selection. The Giants won the Super Bowl because of having two edge rushes who can just destroy QB's. I can't see the Giants passing on Chubb. -
Nick Foles is going nowhere...
Call_Of_Ktulu replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Foles got traded I'm 100% sure he gets a new deal with that team or holds out. If he stays with the Eagles why would he not want to cash in on his playoff and super bowl performance. If he stays with the Eagles and does hold out how can the Eagles pay him with being so close to the cap. I see the Eagles trading him if he holds out for a 2nd rd pick. -
I have watched so many games of all these QB's my head hurts. I don't see Beanie or McD picking Jackson so I'm not really worried. He is going to be the player that drops in this draft and will be the guy Kiper talks about after every pick. I would draft Falk, White, Litton, Lauretta and Rudolph over Jackson easily.
-
I don't see this guy ever learning how to read a defense. I see him getting hit hard from running because he won't trust fitting throws into tight windows. I really want nothing to to with Jackson, I know he is going to be the type of QB that makes one read and takes off running. Waste of a 1st rd or 2 rd pick, I'm hoping the Jets take him at 3.
-
I think I got caught up in the QB hype machine, their is some really good talent in this draft that teams are not going to pass up to take a QB. I think their will only be 3 QB's from this draft that go on to have solid starting potential, two early picks and 1 later rd pick. Mayfield, Darnold and the late rd QB for me is Luke Falk, I'm starting to think the Jets are going to make the 1st QB selection and look brilliant because of it.

Again, bills HAVE called up to browns for first overall
Call_Of_Ktulu replied to *******'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's not looking good for a trade up, I can see the Browns, Giants and Jets taking QB's. Cleveland has such good draft position this year. This draft could spring board their franchise. -

There are going to be a lot of teams with a money to spend next year, we don't usually land the top FA unless we over pay. The core of this team will need to be built through the draft. -
The Bengals rushed the football a lot, I think they might have had the most rushing attempts in 2015. Whenever a starting QB goes down that team plays more conservative. He did exactly what he was supposed to do as a backup which is keep you W/L at .500 and keep you teams in the games. He brought his team back in that playoff game vs the Steelers which he should've won. I'm not sure what your expectations were for McCarron in 2015 but I think he did everything that he was asked to do and more. Dalton took most if not all 1st team reps, I think it is very impressive for McCarron to come off the bench and play the way he did.

Gilmore only went to the Patriots so he wouldn't get as many holding calls.

I agree with everything you said, I have always been a fan of AJ McCarron.
