I agree with you and the post you quoted. I was ready to quit watching after the playoff blowout loss to the Bengals. I actually realized how bad being a 30+ year Bills fan actually made me feel. The problem was my wife actually pulled me back into it. She randomly started showing an interest in football she never had before, began rooting for the Bills, and watching games. I started to look forward to watching the game with her and our dogs on the couch. Fast forward two more loses to KC in the playoffs, and I hit what I deemed to be an irreversible wall. After the afccg last year, I really thought about how awful being a bills fan makes me feel. Seeing them in their downward spiral this year isn't hotting as hard as it would have in years past. I'm more disgusted with the team, and how Billsy it will be if NE goes to the superbowl, than anything. It feels like a waste of Allen's talent (though he isn't blameless) and my time. I mainly watch this year because i forgot to turn off my youtube tv/and nfl package renewals.

I don't think Allen is the problem, but he has been part of it lately. More of a result of his back breaking from having to carry the team. I was quick to jump on the F Diggs bandwagon, and I still think a guy getting paid that much should handle himself more professionally. However, it is clear Josh isn't a motivator like many SB champion QBs. He, and the team are exactly what you would expect from a group that has "mr brightside" as a fight song. They miss Digg's talent and fire. I get the impression Diggs wants to win a superbowl above all else now that he is rich. He clearly saw it wasn't going to happen with McBean and a xanax stupor locker room, no matter how talented the QB is.

I worry that every year that begins with McBean in control is a guaranteed waste of 2 years of Allen. I figure regardless of how the season ends, it will take at least another 2 years for Terry to move on.

I'd love to have to have guys who occasionally got fines for playing "too physical".

I think some fans and obviously the coaches/gm think Josh will be elite into his late 30s and that there is still time. Matt Ryan was really good into his early 30s and hit a wall around age 34 iirc. Josh gets to be Phillip Rivers, Burrow Manning (maybe), and Mahomes Brady for this generation. Such a waste, but let's just be happy to not be in the drought era 🙁
