  1. But let's stretch the season to 18 games...
  2. He needs more weapons because he isn't at the point in his career where he can make stars of average talent. He needs better blocking because he doesn't go through his reads fast enough and holds on to the ball for too long. He's developing, but he isn't there yet. Surrounding him with more talent puts him in the best position to succeed.
  3. I never understand why fans get upset when facts are pointed out about Josh Allen? He needs to get better. Pretty obvious. I don't dislike Josh. My problem is with blind loyalists who don't demand more of our starting QB. I've been banging the drum to get him more weapons on offense for 2 seasons now. I desperately wanted this team to draft Mercalf last year to pair with Josh. I was all aboard "trading for Julio or Diggs" before they ever became realistic options. I'm one of the very few on this board that wants Beane to sign a seasoned veteran RB, primarily for pass protection, to buy Josh more time in the pocket. I'm rooting for the kid, but I also understand that he needs to improve. I'm far from satisfied with his play. He's on the right track but my standards are high. Everyone's should be.
  4. Like 25th out of 32 is something to be proud of? You got me!
  5. Crickets huh? Qb rating - 27th QBR - 25th Completion % - 32nd I'm too lazy to look where he ranks for holding onto the ball or deep ball accuracy, but you get the point. You're probably one of those guys who ranks Josh above Lamar Jackson.
  6. I was going off of the the original comment you were responding to. Let's not act like Josh isn't in the lower tier of starting QBs.
  7. If Josh remains in the bottom 5 of numerous statistical categories, chances are we won't get much further than simply making the playoffs. The goal is a Super Bowl victory. So while your original take is a sane one, I couldn't care less about "12 wins". He needs to be able to play well enough to win a Super Bowl.
  8. Regardless, he'll get a 4th season to prove himself, but if this season happens, he needs to make quicker reads, get the ball out on time and improve his deep ball accuracy.
  9. But is that more a product of lack of opportunity? Kind of like Yeldon.
  10. Depends on how the scenario plays out. If it's clear that Allen isn't working out, I expect Beane to recognize it and act accordingly. A situation where Beane/McDermott hold on to "the dream" for too long, would make me want a new GM and/or coach. Take Ryan Pace, for example. He will soon be approaching this territory with Trubisky.
  11. Great fit, indeed!
  12. I never understood why the Broncos didn't get Royce more touches.
  13. I'll take Devonte Freeman, of the backs listed. A complete back, that wouldn't cost a ton. Freeman still has some juice. Atlanta's offensive line has been less than stellar when it comes to run blocking.
  14. I agree with you, but the Falcons o-line hasn't been great in the run blocking department.
  15. Gurley fits. A part-time role, which prolongs his career, very good in pass protection, great hands and can run between the tackles or bounce it outside. The Bills would be a terror on 3rd downs.
  16. In spurts. His knee will never hold up over a full NFL season. It may have cost them a Super Bowl.
  17. What a shame. From a talent standpoint, he's the best back in football, in my opinion. Hall of Fame talent. Robbed of NFL MVP in 2017!
  18. No point in starting a new thread. With Brady now gone, what say you now?
  19. That sounds good in theory, but rookies tend to suck in pass protection and that is a vital part of being a good RB. The Bills need a veteran. There's no way around it.
  20. Too much talent too be kept down for too long. They finished strong last year, if I remember correctly.
  21. I would have gone after Dalton.
  22. I thi k theres a decent sized gap between the Chiefs and everyone else. Next I'd have Baltimore at 2 - then Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Indianapolis, Cleveland & Tennessee together, until I see different on the field.
  23. So all of Beane's eggs were in the Tee Higgins basket? Not buying it. An opportunity to acquire Diggs presented itself and Beane jumped on it. Simple as that.
  24. Letting Henry walk was never an option. That's their entire team's identity.
